After a twelve hour flight from California, I arrived much earlier then the check in of 4, at 11 actually. The service was at three. They had no issue with finding me a room they could get ready early. Five minutes later I had a room. The ladies were extremely hopefully in making sure I had what I needed. Judy even took the time to phone a taxi so I could make it to my service in time. The staff here are so friendly. Lovely people. Toby Carvery is a restaurant next store that has nice quality food at great prices. Oh! You also check in there, which took me a minute to figure out. Over the highway are shops in case you've forgotten anything, though getting across the street is tricky. Someone should make a path, but that would be a city issue. Anyway, for a horrible trip I had to make, the staff at the Innskeeper made my trip a little easier.

Apparently, this is their weekly test and they've "always done it then" and "most people are awake by then." Most. Running a test alarm at 10 am in a HOTEL is crazy. --They ran out of glasses in the bar because they had 3 events on. I doubt all these events were all booked the day before. --Housekeeping was banging on doors SO loudly that my friend opened his door to ask her to keep it down (this was before 10 am). The response? "Do you work the night shift?" I'm not making this up. --Cigarette butts and glasses not regularly cleaned up from the patio. I gave it two stars instead of one because our afternoon on the back lawn was heavenly, but that was because of the day itself, nothing to do with the running of it. Also, when we requested a fan and, later, an extension cord, they provided each. We needed the latter because there are no plugs near the bed.

It was explained that Breakfast would not be available on Xmas day, ok that's fair enough all families want to be together on Xmas day but we were then told that breakfast would not be available on Boxing Day either. Did I read the advert wrongly 'B&B'!! We were told that additional towel would be brought to our room shortly after we arrived, this never happened. for three days all we had was one medium bath towel. On arrival there was less than half a toilet roll available, this lasted until the early hours of Xmas day. We thought it would be replenished, it wasn't, Over Xmas Day and Boxing Day it was like the Marie Celeste there was nobody we would ask for anything. There was a mobile tel number to contact IN AN EMERGENCY. Running out of toilet roll isn't an emergency but it is an essential. We arrived back at 10pm on Boxing day to find a note on our bed that breakfast would be available the following day. That was too late because we had no idea what was going on and had made arrangements to have breakfast elsewhere. The bill was paid, I told Mia that we were very unhappy and she was surprised. Why? The service we received, well actually we never received any service at all, it was farcical. To top it all off when we were travelling home my step son who was staying in another room at the B&B told us that their towel had been taken from the bathroom on Boxing day and they were left without any towels at all. Christmas is for families that why we drove 250 miles so that we could be with our family so its only right that the staff at Redcliffe B&B have that time as well but NOT at the full exclusion of paying guests. I have had better service in third world countries and travel lodges that at this B&B and I would never in a zillion years recommend this place to anyone or return their ever again. To sum up:- Redcliffe B&B is a farce book elsewhere, its not cheap either!!!!!!!!

The afternoon tea was only mediocre but it is the parking that has upset us the most. We input our car registration number in the machine on the reception desk as asked to do. A few days later we received a charge of £100 from ParkingEye saying we had parked but not been a hotel guest. You can imagine the shock and how it has soured the happy day. I rang the hotel and was told it was nothing to do with them!!! They advertise FREE parking but it does not seem to be so. This has also cost me a lot of time in appealing this charge etc. I certainly will not be recommending this hotel to family and friends.

I am basing my review on a recent wedding I attended and can only comment on my stay here…read more Like most weddings, you tend to stay in the venue the wedding is taking place. Considering this venue deals with wedding guests a lot you would assume it is equipped for it. I stayed the night before and the night of the wedding. The room I stayed in had no iron/ ironing board to prepare for the wedding. Meaning most, would have creased up shirts/ dresses and un-groomed hair, unless you bought them ready pressed and your own hair dryer. We tried to make the bride/grooms bedroom a bit more romantic and special, but found the bedroom with an unclean/unmade bed and no clean towels. When we asked the reception about this (two very helpful ladies) stated they only clean the rooms every 3 days (for reference, the groom stayed in the room the night before). Although I appreciate to save on energy, water and wages, they don't need to clean the rooms everyday. It makes sense for the night of the wedding to show some professional courtesy and check the bride/grooms room is up to standard. Please note. After asking reception they got the cleaning department to resolve the matter. All was ok eventually. Overall the venues was nice and the wedding event was a success. However, I felt the need to review to hopefully highlight the issue and help the venue to be better.

I have hired Lazaat for functions through work and the venue, staff and food have been fantastic and I have been very happy with the price.
