I was so embarrassed and had severe anxiety about even making the appointment. From the very first call, everyone was so kind and understanding. When I finally came in, Dr. Stuart and his assistant Sonny made me feel comfortable and respected every step of the way. They never once made me feel judged. Instead, they explained all my options clearly and helped me decide on getting a top denture in a way that felt supportive, not overwhelming. Sonny, in particular, was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet, patient, and reassuring the whole time. She truly made what could have been a really stressful experience feel safe and positive. I can't express enough how much that meant to me. Everyone in the office is so friendly, and the way they communicate with each other and with patients is like nothing I've ever seen. You can tell they genuinely care about people, and it shows in every interaction. It's been about three years since my first visit, and I still brag about how great they are to anyone who will listen. I had shared a review on my old Facebook/Yelp, but that account got deleted, so I wanted to make sure I wrote another one because they truly deserve all the recognition. If you've been putting off going to the dentist because of fear or embarrassment, please know you will be treated with so much kindness here. I really cannot express what a godsend Dr Lalonde has been to our family . While using a carefully…read morechosen, well known dentist in Florida , my daughter was the unfortunate recipient of a botched implant . I wish I could say that was accidental, but it was careless disregard for protocol which caused the problem Dr Lalonde inherited. The experienced but overconfident Florida doctor placed an implant sideways. Most periodontists would take a simple intraoperative X-ray which would confirm the implant is straight but this doctor disregarded protocol resulting in a sideways implant that ran dangerously close to the nerve of the GOOD tooth next to it. In a word : Disaster. Dr Lalonde caught this problem quickly on a follow-up visit upon my daughter's return to Indiana. He urgently advocated on my daughter's behalf speaking to the doctors in Florida and consulting his own mentors in Ohio to organize a treatment plan to correct the mess . Ultimately , Dr Lalonde removed the poorly placed implant and placed new bone graft material , placed a new (proper) implant and veneers to make the both congenital defects and prior orthodontia match . In my opinion , this was an extremely complicated case both emotionally and physically. It took courage for Dr Lalonde to confront another dentist regarding his work and honestly I do not think many would even want to get involved trying to undo another person's mistakes. But he did and turned the mess into something worthwhile. I cannot imagine any other doctor would be as personally involved from start to finish as he was . Fixing this problem took two years and with each step there was uncertainty whether or not the procedures he tried would even work within the frame he inherited ! Dr Lalonde tirelessly and steadily made our burden his own and SUCCEEDED in turning our tears and pain into a giant smile . Dr Lalonde even gave us his personal cell phone for questions or emergencies and consistently responded anytime we used it . While the physical outcome is obviously amazing (see photo below) , what you cannot see in a picture is the HOURS he worked tirelessly behind the scenes and even on his days off and into the night if necessary to make this masterpiece come to life . I can safely say after seeing him perform seemingly every procedure a periodontist or cosmetic dentist could be required perform , I can report with confidence his work is exceptional in all areas. I wholeheartedly recommend him and I would go so far as to say think twice in trusting anyone else or you could be us ! THANK YOU DR LALONDE ! You are a treasure .

I used to like this office when it was Rensselaer Family Dentistry. But I've had the most…read morefrustrating experience on my latest visit since the practice changed. I was asked before my appointment if there were any changes to my insurance. There had not been, and I was using the same insurance I always used. I showed up for a Sunday appointment, sat through the whole appointment, including x-rays, had the dentist examine me, and waited for the assistant to write up the treatment plan, only to be told after all that that my insurance was no longer in network. I was told that my options were: 1) Pay the high out-of-network costs, 2) Wait a few months because maybe they'll take my insurance then, or 3) Go somewhere else, When I asked why I hadn't been told this in advance, and reminded them that they had asked about my insurance before the appointment, I was told repeatedly in an incredibly patronizing and annoying tone that the situation was "unfortunate". What I did NOT get was an apology, or any indication that they had any interest in taking responsibility for the mess up. This caused me to pay them an out of network co-pay, and then another co-pay to an in network dentist who could actually help me. When they sent the claim to my insurance for this visit (which was nothing more than a waste of time and money due to their error), they sent me a bill for even more money. I wrote to them detailing the situation, and asking them to remove the balance because I felt it was unfair. What I got in response was just another explanation that I still owe the bill. What was NOT in the response was anything resembling an apology, or any acknowledgment that they screwed up. Sometimes a simply apology goes a long way, but it seems this office doesn't understand that concept. I cannot recommend this office, and will not be back. If I'm going go be talked down to in an annoying patronizing tone, I'd rather pay someone who at least helps me instead of wastes my time, takes my money for nothing, and then refuses to even simply apologize.

Years after having my braces removed, I stopped by the office to say, "Thank you for straightening things out." During the brief conversation, I told him I lived in California. He immediately told me to hold on picked up the phone and dialed. "Hello, Sweetheart, this is Dad. Mark H. He lives near you in CA. I gave him your number. You two should meet." He winked at me while she protested. In the background, I could hear her TRYING to tell him, she did NOT know me, which she wouldn't have since I grew up 50 miles away from Watseka. That did not deter him, "OK, Sweetheart, I gave him your number. Love you." Click. In the end, we met for a drink. Had a good laugh. Only Doc Martin could do that. .

But well before Dr. Rose became the main, issues were becoming difficult to handle. On top of the hour drive here for the fair prices which were well under the price gouging of my Tippecanoe country options, the mismanagement and lack of smart scheduling pushed wait times to insane delays. It is beyond me how an established setup with centuries of experience among the staff is unable to ensure appointments are easy to make and kept on time. I even popped in one time without an appointment and forced my retainer checkup into their schedule because it had become so difficult to drive two hours and wait another half hour for a five minute visit. These guys desperately need a proper system to set times and days online and reduce waits. That leads to the main problem, my feedback is ignored. I've requested an entirely plastic based retainer over five years running. I pointed out each visit with everyone how I could not wear my retainer every night due to it cutting my gums and make me bleeding by the third morning. They did not care but happily tried their pliers on the wires every year then asked if it felt better. This is why these old fashioned medical setups are going down. It is crazy enough with insurance corruptiom and corporate trash taking advantage of us to top it with basic requests being ignored while wasting hours.

Why use a pediatric dentist? Honestly it's a different world…read more Their team is SO speedy compared to any dental office that treats adults. Perfectly par for those much shorter attention spans. They are also super kind, friendly, did I mention fast and used to explaining things in easy to understand terms. The atmosphere is so much more child- friendly and therefore so much less scary. Drs John and Zach are both lovely doctors. The team they have created is even more impressive for its combination of expertise, kindness, skill and flexibility in working with Hoosiers and patients from around the world. Cannot recommend them more highly. But hurry. They only see new patients up to age sixteen. Get in while you can!

Explain to me the policy of which states 2 missed appointments results in being "dismissed" from…read morethe practice. (Missed 1 appt, 2 maybe 3 years ago and then a second "missed" cleaning mind you she had a cavity that was being taken care of that week so there was no reminder text or call for the cleaning so they considered that a missed appointment.) This is the ONLY dentist she had ever been to. So we had been going here since she was 5 6 years old, she just turned 10... So over 5 years span 2 "missed" appointments. With that I was told if she needed to be seen I could call and if they have a cancellation That Day they would allow her to be seen...? Oh and after my inquiry of this and speaking to Mr Bozic, as my daughter and I walked out the staff laughed. We had great experiences with this dentistry outside of this situation. I sat in my car crying after this whole ordeal and yet here I am in need of her being seen and I simply want to know, am I to call daily once y'all open back up?

One of the bonds…read morebroke, so I Google-searched for a local orthodontist-- it was very nice that Dr. Carr was willing to see me as a patient, given that retainer was applied at a practice in Philadelphia. To my relief, he scheduled me within 3 days of my initial phone call. The results of the procedure were as expected/satisfactory, but I did leave the office feeling disappointed in the doctor's "bedside manor." I felt condescended throughout the entire experience. Perhaps this is an effect of having mostly child patients? Regardless, I am a 25 year old woman and did not appreciate being scolded for 1) not being able to afford this procedure prior to my visit. 2) experiencing pain/sensitivity during removal process I was also charged more than the initial price quote- the difference was small but unexplained. The next time I need an orthodontist, I plan on looking elsewhere but the quality of work done was good and they scheduled me quickly.
