Forth Child Cafe is a gem in the crown of Ipswich's busy CBD. Delicious lunch options or something sweet Forthchild has you covered!

I am always on the look out for great coffee, delicious lunch/brunch options. Forth Child Restaurant & Cafe delivers on all these points. Would highly recommend them next time you are passing through Ipswich. Restaurant space is perfect for small intimate gatherings or a quiet table for two. Delicious selection of sweet and savory menu items to choose from. Staff are very friendly and from order placement to table has very short turn around. A definite must do!

The Fourthchild Cafe was a great place to have breakfast. The service was swift, the coffee was spot on and the portions were more than we could finish. The cafe ambience and style was relaxing and also visually interesting. Just the way I like it!

A hidden gem in Ipswich! A little slice of city in the country. Great atmos, delicious food. And they make their own soft drinks. Try the creaming soda!

Really good atmosphere and I love how they use local produce! However it is a little bit overpriced for the size of the meals and coffees!

Have bought two drinks here in the past few week and both I had to throw out. Also overpriced.

This new structure provides a rustic vibe perfectly at home in the park and with disabled/pram access it's a wonderful example of modern ipswich architecture. The food and service on the other hand are another story altogether, despite being an independent commercial enterprise don't expect the kind of service or quality food you would from any other sit down cafe`. The prices are high and the staff have more in common with tuckshop ladies of old than restaurateurs. Food is dry and uninspiring, with much of it purchased pre made; yet despite this expect to wait 10-45 minutes for your food. If you are caught out without food or really don't want to bring your own this is a reasonable solution, but if you can even remember to stop off at the coles 2 minutes down the road on your way to the park, bring your own and have a BBQ on the ample council facilities provided.

We still had an hour until their 'new random closing time' so we tried to make the best of it. The girl was super rude and would not let me have a spoon for my son to eat his icecream out of the bowl (she made him use a flat wooden tester instead). I won't be going back, even though it was one of my favourite places.
