What makes this place unique is the beautiful tropical gardens. The down side is that it does not have a heated pool. All through the winter months ,the pool is unusable except for the most hardy. Also, if you have any trouble with mobility you will have great difficulty getting to the beach because there is a huge sand dune that you must climb over to get to the beach. There are two tennis courts and a hot tub. Many other resorts have more amenities. We give SeaWinds 5 stars for its excellent location, close to restaurants and shopping, beautiful gardens, ponds and wildlife, convenience of condos with garages and driveways. The pros far outweigh the cons.

THE OCEAN GALLERY REVIEW: 310 PREMIER VISTA WAY…read more In planning for our one week yearly summer beach getaway to St. Augustine, we came across a lovely beach condo at the Ocean Gallery. It was the most expensive rental place for us so far (over $3000), but it had a beautiful view of the beach and looked very nice in the pictures. What we found upon arriving was the exact opposite of what was in the ad. All of the things wrong should have been caught if the complex was managed well and they checked each unit BEFORE it was rented to the next guest! Let me list the many things that we found: The bathroom sink in the second bath barely drained. Th toilet in the second bathroom was loose and the maintenance people said they needed to replace it, so to be very careful in using it. The toilet in the first bathroom ran all the time. The screen porch screen was off its track. The closet door was also off track. The door to the patio was broken and could not be locked. Broken baseboard pulled away from the wall in the main bedroom. Old, stained, and torn furniture on the patio. (I have a great picture). Along with all of these problems, the kitchen and the glass patio doors were SO FILTHY that we had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to wash the doors and cabinets in the kitchen before we would consider putting our food in the cabinets or enjoying the patio. Because it was LABOR DAY WEEKEND, we were not able to talk to the management the day that we arrived. So we enjoyed St Augustine as best we could, but a few days before we left, we spoke to Anne, the manager of the Ocean Gallery. We were very unsatisfied with her response...that is the main reason I wanted to let other renters know that this company is ONLY interested in getting your money but not in keeping you happy! It should be the responsibility of the rental company to check our each unit BEFORE it is rented! The renter should not have to bring such a long list to the management while they are trying to enjoy their one-week beach vacation! This is NOT THE TRUE GEM that I always look for and I would say RENTERS BEWARE OF THE OCEAN GALLERY!! It is NOT MANAGED WELL!!!

On second day, they were replacing a pipe, had to shut down the water. Took them all day to replace it, and then a bust pipe! It resulted in a disaster, there was no water all day and night. Worst nightmare. The water finally came back on the next day... for a few hours, then water shut off again! This time, I was told that their landscaping guy broke the pipe. It was really bad timing because it was one day before thanksgiving. Good that it only took a couple of hours to fix it this time. At least they did something right by offering partial discount (50% off of that one night). Every employee was nice and friendly except the house keeping lady who did our room. We greeted her, but she never greeted us back, always poker face. She only cleaned the drain in the shower one time, leave the hair in the drain for the rest of our stay. She didn't give us clean towels every day, didn't clean the trash bin in the shower. I never had this bad experience before. We booked the thanksgiving meal at the hotel, the meal was good as a buffet style food. Only one hour to dine, as they rotated the tables every hour. It cost us $50 per person plus taxes and tips, alcohol drinks not included. The meal was good, but I will not do it again. Breakfast not included in the room rate.

Waking up to the sun rising over the endless horizon and letting the gentle ocean breeze lull me into a state of tranquility at the pristine St. Augustine Beach for my Birthday weekend was enchanting. Dan at the Front Desk was THE Man. He gave us early check-in, provided me with a lighter for my Birthday candles and even upgraded my friends room. Rachael was pretty amazing too...recommending some great local eats! Throughout the hotel and guestrooms, you can enjoy some of the many thousands of marine life images that showcase the artistic hand of Guy Harvey and local fellow artists, each inspired by the natural beauty of America's Oldest City and the waters that surround it. Just go with the flow.

The property is gated for security at the parking lot entrance and at the walk on beach access (passcode required). This seems to be an older condominium complex but it looks to be well maintained, as you'd expect the entrance to each condo is accessible through a hallway, the ground floor unit hallway is a little dark during the daylight hours and each has a small patio with a sliding glass door. The interior of the units are a little dated but clean, the lighting is a little challenging in the kitchen being all the lights in that area are accent lighting with no ceiling fixtures the main living area is partially illuminated from large wraparound glass windows off the patio. The kitchen is furnished with a electric range and oven, a nice refrigerator and a stacked washer and dryer and wrapped with a counter with stools just off the dining area so in my opinion it's your typical vacation beachside rental nothing over the top luxurious but certainly meets the agenda for most families, which is to spend some time in Florida with close beach access and your in close proximity to the Ancient City of St. Augustine, I'd say if you're staying here life is pretty good...

Upon our arrival we found ants on the master bedroom sink and a stream of them on the patio. We also found a dead/dehydrated gieko underneath the glass top dining. The stove could be replaced. The burners were popping up, the racks were rusty and we were not sure if it had every been cleaned. There were various patches of spackle on the walls, left unpainted in various room. Not sure if someone forget to finish the job. On a positive side, the locations was great right by the heated pool, and being a first floor unit was great as there are no elevators in this complex. This unit also comes with a washer and dryer in the condo, and 2 single beds in the guest room.
