I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my dental issue was not as bad as feared, and he educated me on the signs to look for when the need to return was nigh. Horrible service. Dentist, married to his receptionist and moonlighting as a rock star. Extraordinarily expensive services- office in kahoots with neighboring oral surgeon, across the parking lot. Tried to get some dental work done, in a very vulnerable state, as many dental patients looking for dentures often are. Quoted 7 k to have remaining teeth removed from oral surgeon neighbor/partner. Then quoted 2.5 k for temporary dentures to be followed by 5k in anchored dentures 6-8 months down the road. That's nearly 20 k for anchored dentures. I can't afford that. Who can? I tried to work with this practice and attempted to work out more affordable options, perhaps step by step. Maybe a flipper for my front teeth as I dealt with having my lower teeth removed at a more affordable cost. The answer was No, No, and NO. It was their way or no way. I will find a different option and quite sure I don't need to spend 20k to start this process in a gentle, more manageable way. Looking for a practice with compassion and empathy. Not a wanna-be rock star 'denture' dentist looking to pay for his next guitar. Go away and shame on you. read more

Went to Dr. Khademi for a root canal procedure. He explained the procedure in detail and put me at ease. He and his staff are very courteous and professional. I had a terrible experience at this office! John Khademi is an arrogant, self absorbed human that doesn't care about his clients. I was seeking urgent care as I was from out of town and traveling, in desperate need of a root canal. He told me, without examining me, that he would need me to be in town for a week to do a root canal, that I should cancel my trip and that he could do nothing today but to come back another time. I had been in excruciating pain for 5 days already! I had explained to the receptionist my situation that I needed care right away, I canceled an appointment in Albuquerque because this office was closer. When I was told that he couldn't take care of me that day, he was very rude and condescending to me, since I had expected immediate care. I left the office and went to a very competent and professional endodontic in Rio Rancho who diagnosed the problem and got started right away and finished in 1 1/2 hrs, excellent care and pain relief with Dr Harmon. Several years ago I had a root canal done on a front incisor by John Khademi. Obviously, I was very concerned before coming in because this was my front teeth... He did an excellent job, and I have had no problems with that tooth since then. I was - and still am - very happy with the work years later. He saved that tooth, and I avoided an implant which was really important to me. He was also able to perfectly match the color of the affected tooth with my other teeth by some internal bleaching, which also took a great deal of care to get it right. My entire experience with him was a good one, and the results were better than I could have hoped for. He and his staff were friendly, professional, and John was very thorough in the analysis and treatment. I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

I live here, and John Khademi is an arrogant, self-absorbed person that doesn't care about his clients! The other review from Carol is absolutely accurate! When I asked him why I needed two separate office visits and two procedures for a root canal, he pointed at his diploma on the wall and said, "Do you see that diploma -- I could explain it to you but you wouldn't understand!" Then I tried numerous times to schedule the follow up and he sent me a nasty letter that lied stating that his office had contacted me multiple times and that he was dropping me as a patient. It was a lie since I was the one calling them! The letter had the $600 amount of the second visit on there as if he cared more about money than he did about my dental health!! read more
