I randomly picked this dentist for an Emergency broken tooth. I had not been to a dentist for over a decade (There was no judgement or chastising due to this, only matter of fact discussion on my situation and what needed to be fixed). The staff was top notch from front desk to assistant. The doctor Belt was attentive and personable. This was hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. Brad and all his staff are awesome. I had been getting the runaround from several dentists in the area about a bad tooth I had. I finally went to his office in extreme pain. While everyone else wanted to prescribe antibiotics and wait, Brad realized I was in serious trouble and went to work right away. Although, it took a while to get my crown made, the root canal relieved the pain right away. Almost three years later my current dentist ( I moved to Denver) said he rarely sees quality work like the crown Dr Belt had made and installed. Thanks you guys! read more

Dr. Belt and all his staff are beyond professional and skilled! I have always had trouble with dentists (because I had bad teeth), I received such poor treatment at other dentist offices that I had some mild PTSD around going to the dentist. I finally reached a point where something HAD to be done so I had to gather my resolve and find a local dentist. I am so glad I found Durango Dental!! Dr. Belt changed my life! He and his staff were so kind and professional, they never once even acted like they noticed how bad my teeth were, they made me feel comfortable and made a very painful process almost pleasurable because I couldn't wait to see them again! Awful. I go in for a cleaning. no issues there, but I was told i needed to have some work done. (fillings cracked, needed to redo them). after the cleaning we talk about the next appointments and the pricing. The front desk told me they called the insurance and gave me pricing for the upcoming visits. The first visit was going to cost 150$ and the next was going to cost about the same. I set the appointment, go in get the work done. as I am paying the lady tells me that it is 391$ for the visit. I was confused and not only reminded her of what she wrote down as the price of the first visit (150$) i showed her the actual paper with her writing. She replied, "oh yea i am so sorry. Going back over your insurance after i talked with them and wrote down our estimates for you, it was a little off." A little off? how about an extra 250 $ off, and that was just for the one visit. She again told me she was sorry and meant to call me a couple days before the appointment to let me know about the price change, and then said she meant to tell me before i went to get the procedure done, but must have forgot to do both. I explained i felt there was some sort of obligation she would have to tell me the price difference if she knew before hand, especially when that drastic of a change (250$). she apologized and when to talk to the dentist, Brad Belt. She came back to let me know that Brad Belt said that it was not there issue and that i need to pay and go. Obviously upset, I told her its one thing to estimate 150$ and then it be like 190$, but 400$ !!! the Dentist Brad Belt comes over, relieved thinking he would clear things up. The exact opposite. He tells me that this is an issue with my insurance and that i need to leave the office and if i have a problem to call the insurance. I tell him my problem wasn't the insurance. My problem is that i was told one price (15)and it was a 250$ difference, and that the office knew before hand that it changed that much and still didnt feel the need to tell me until the work was done. He told me again, leave the office, find another dentist. I assured him i had no plans to come back to the office to keep getting money stolen from me. i ask for the papers i signed to look over if they had legal obligations, if nothing else a moral obligation to tell me they knew the price changed that much. he said of course, that paper you signed shows that everything we give are estimates. I as him arent estimates supposed to be somewhat close to what you think. he replies with " you dont know this business very well, it is only 250$" i tell brad belt that 250 is a lot of money and he tells me "no its isnt. that is not that much money. " so i leave, upset and knew i just got screwed over from durango dental and brad belt. Now , about 2 weeks later, My teeth hurt like crazy!! my teeth never hurt before.. I am not able to chew on the left side of my mouth because now i have multiple areas where my teeth get sore or hurt so bad i cant chew. Long story short. I paid 250$ more than what i was told. 150 was told amount 391 was paid amount. Now , My teeth hurt like crazy. read more

Staff if rude and unprofessional. Dr. Belt sent me home with an infected tooth. That weekend I drove to Denver and it abscessed. I want to emergency dentist and told him what had happened and he was beyond surprised. Do not use Dr. Belt. read more

I went in for 1 cavitie and came out with a $2,000 amount owed. They decided to fix every cavatie without getting my permission first. I've asked for my records and they say they don't keep records and asked me to leave. They are extremely rude and disrespectful and I will NEVER go back to them. I ended up going to another dentist that had to fix several of the cavities that fell out. Trust me if you want to be ripped off then they are the dentist for you. read more

Being a long time Durango resident and also having the opportunity to work with and see many Dentist's, Durango Dental is by far the worst our there. Their customer service is terrible and the work they do fails in comparison to past Dentists and dental offices. DO NOT USE THEM. They self admitted that they knew their work in coloring a tooth would not be up to par, then did it anyway. Once the work was completed and the shade of the tooth was not what it should be the refused to even try to fix this. Chelsea defended their crappy work and would not even offer to re-evaluate it. Save you money and you mouth find a better Dentist. After all they know they're not up to par with others out there. read more

I discovered Durango Dental last summer upon breaking a tooth. After calling several other dental offices that could not accommodate me, Dr. Belt's team offered to see me in twenty minutes. Dr. Belt's crown was the most beautiful thing in my mouth, natural teeth included. Since then Dr. Belt has replaced for me some old and "less than ideal" cosmetic work that had been done years ago. I have gone from hating to open my mouth to loving my smile. Although this work was extensive, there has been no pain in any of the affected teeth. The quality of the work is unmistakeable. It looks great, feels good, and is easy to clean. Working with the entire staff at Durango Dental has been a pleasure. Everyone is friendly and upbeat, and more importantly, they professionally handle situations that some of us might find embarrassing with sensitivity and kindness. At my initial visit Dr. Belt looked at a crown that I had done previously by another dentist and advised that I needed to get it repaired due to an internal crack.I had that crown for almost 10 years and because I trusted his opinion as a dentist and didn't want my front tooth to fall off in the middle of a work day I agreed to have it repaired in the near future. I was a bit hesitant and I told Dr. belt that it took me a few visits at the previous dentist to get the contour and coloring right.Dr. Belt assured me that while the feel of the crown would be different he could certainly do a much better job with the matching of the tooth since technology had advanced and he guaranteed that it would look better then what I currently had. I waited two uncomfortable weeks wearing a temporary definitely mismatched tooth when I received the new crown. I went to the office for a 30 minute fitting which took ten minutes he gave me a quick 20 second glance in the mirror cemented it on and sent me on my way. Once I got home I looked at the tooth in a few different lights and noticed the shade was definitely on the grey side compared to my other teeth. I contacted his office over the weekend with a nice email explaining the situation and sent them pictures supporting my concerns. That following Monday received a very short email response from his office manager/wife saying that there was nothing that they could do to fix the problem. I have since got a 2nd and 3rd opinion supporting my concerns. They all advised that dentists have to do redos and its there fiduciary responsibility as a dentist to make the client happy with the services that they provide. They also told me that the difference between the dentist charge and the amount you are being charged is significant meaning he could have got the tooth redone and it only cost him 75 to 100 dollars. I want even offered this as an option.My advise is to avoid Dr. belt at Durango Dental at all costs they provide unsatisfactory services and do not hold a standard of values to fix a problem for a unsatisfied customer. read more
