The 2 of us walked in to get breakfast and waited at the counter to be sat since all of the tables were dirty. Five minutes after we walked in, 2 people came and were immediately greated and told to sit wherever they wanted. The employee looked me right in the face and helped the others first. We were hungry so we sat ourselves at a dirty table with no menu for about 5 minutes. We decided to leave and quite a few others left without being helped as well. On the road back to Minnesota from a long visit in the Pacific Northwest and needing nourishment I stopped in Miles City at a long time favorite of mine, the Four B's It was 11 AM and was greeted by a most pleasant and friendly waitress. I asked if breakfast still possible and she said no problem A great value meal price wise for around $8 which included two eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns, and two pancakes But sad to say the quality was just not like it used to be. Hash browns soggy and limp, pancakes pretty flavorless, eggs and sausage ok, nothing totally wonderful. Coffee had strange taste and not to my liking Overall food quality just not exciting. And memory might serve me wrong as ate here many times 20-30 years ago and remember the food as most excellent. So today's meal a letdown The inside seemed a bit aged and tired too but still clean. The location is right at the off ramp and at the merge of I-94 and Hwy 59, seems it would be a great place to have a restaurant. As I ate my breakfast I watched the traffic flow from the off ramp from I-94 and on Hwy 59, it was constant. A recipe for success it would seem, this restaurant should be busier and the parking lot full this time of day. The reality was the parking lot was pretty empty and there were a total of 6 customers in the place. The exterior is not inviting and first impression doesn't shout out "eat here" ! As I walked in I was greeted by the please wait to be seated sign and although there were more staff than customers, I waited a bit. In a few minutes I was seated by my waitress who didn't smile 1 time during my visit. The place is dirty, carpet, windows, bathroom and just in general the place needs a thorough cleaning top to bottom. The carpet probably can't be cleaned because the dirt and grease looks deep so they should replace that. The used to be clear plastic glasses they serve water in are very old and showing their age. I have eaten in places where these conditions existed and still had good food, not here. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, whole wheat toast and coffee. What I got was 2 runny eggs, hash browns without the brown and mushy, 2 stiff pieces of bacon, bread soggy not quite toasted and room temperature coffee. My husband and I walked in at 7:20pm, they close at 8pm. There were around 3-4 other tables already sitting down eating. We stood in line for 10 min, without anyone saying anything to us. Then the cook yelled from the back, "After I close this ticket I'm closing the f@#$-ing kitchen!!" How unprofessional to yell that out loud while customers are still there and potential customers waiting. Never will go back again. read more

The food was OK. Nothing special. None of the staff seem happy but weren't rude. We ate here multiple mornings because our hotel offered a discount. They had a special "hotel menu" that listed 4 different breakfast options...all $4.40 each. It was only after we returned home from our vacation and were reviewing our receipts that we noticed that they had added $1.00 to the breakfast price each time for our egg choice. Their own menu said that eggs were included. It wasn't a lot of money...but shady nonetheless. One night, we decided to eat dinner here as well since it was so close to our hotel room. I had seen on their "hotel breakfast menu" that they offered a 10% discount off regular prices for lunch and dinner. Again, the food was OK. Nothing to write home about. When we went up to the register to pay we asked the waitress about the discount. She said she knew nothing about it. It took me a second to remember that I had seen it on their own menu. I showed it to her. She continued to ring us up. Before my husband signed the receipt he asked her if she had included the discount. She told him that she had already rang up his credit card. No apology. No offer of a credit to the card. She seemed annoyed that we had asked about it. Again, not a lot of money...but shady. We'll spend our money elsewhere. read more

Went here while on a road trip w my mom. Usually she is the first to be grossed out by the littlest of things and couldn't understand why she thought this was ok. Asked if she wanted to go to Wendy's like hint hint. She thought I was worried about cost. Thinking I was missing something. After she took her sunglasses off sadly after we ate she realized how far this place has gone down hill from her younger days. She didn't see me sitting on a poorly duct taped seat. She also didn't notice the person who waited on us had on an apron that looked like she rolled in dirt. Two different guys came from the kitchen which I hope was wet with water and not sweat. The floors were dirty. Some woman working there was super loud and at first that there was gonna be a brawl back in the kitchen cause she was so loud. Later she was up at the counter saying how she has lived there her whole life and on and on. Too bad she wasn't using that time to wash the windows of the door or anything else. First time ever I left a place seriously concerned if I would get hepatitis or any food borne illness. Thankfully we split a hot roast beef. As if I had to pay $13 to eat there I would have been livid. The only good thing I can say is she who looked like she rolled in dirt brought a second side of mashed potatoes. The food was ok. 4Bs is a good place to eat. Generous servings of good tasting, well prepared food at very reasonable prices. A friendly helpful staff, in an airy, well lighted, family friendly room. Plenty of free parking, and easy access to Haynes Avenue, hotels, and fuel. Truckers find it convenient, as none of the nearby truckstops have restaurants. I enjoy 4Bs in Miles City. A-OK it is. Stopped for lunch today and was seated quickly. A few locals scattered the restaurant but it seemed pretty quiet for lunchtime. Menu includes typical small town cafe items and I decided on the french dip. The meat was really tender but had a little too much seasoning. It had a strong salty taste like beef jerky which is okay because I really like jerky but it did seem a little overbearing. Side salad was not very good. They lettuce was more yellow than green and the crispness probably left sometime early yesterday. The meal was reasonable in price but I definitely should have gone with a hamburger and fries or something from the breakfast menu. In the context of a small oil boom town in North Dakota/Montana it's A-OK and I do give a courtesy star to most places in the oilfield due to the lack of resources and my gratitude for offering services and the Four B's is not exempt from my courtesy star. Yes. Screw Ted, this place is the bomb and has been so for the last 10000 years and probably for 1000 more. Teriyaki steak is amazing as long as it comes as a large piece of meat and not the little skimpy sinewy ones, but that barely ever happens. Order the tomato soup. Right next to our motel and seemingly no complaints of food poisoning, so we went for our first sit down meal in a couple of days on the road. Seems quaint, decent enough. Our waitress greeted us with a curt "just you two? K." She was not super personable. Not more than 2 meat-free options which I tend not to get too bothered about in smaller establishments, so I got a sandwich. My husband got a cup of "famous" tomato soup (not sure what makes it famous) with stale crackers and a burger which was clearly a frozen patty reheated and tossed on a bun. Not an awful meal, but certainly not anything you'd expect to pay $25 for. Our waitress brought us our check and smiled for the first and only time when she told us "Now I can go home!" and "'She' should have let me leave hours ago". The one time she was remotely friendly was when she was telling us that because WE were leaving she could now go home! We laughed pretty hard about that when we were walking back to our motel; it was just so unprofessional. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday evening. Ordered a chef salad. It was a joke. They used rolled up lunch meat and then only sliced part way through it. A teaspoon of cheese. No egg. Sub par in every way. What really stood out as horrible was the service. It was 100 degrees and I got 1 refill on my iced tea. I waited almost a half hour for the waitress to come back so I could ask for a refill and order some desert. After a half hour and not seeing her or getting a check I went to the counter and told the nice young lady there what I had and told her how horrible the service was. We looked around and saw how dirty it was it smelt funny and there were fly's everywhere. There was only 4-5 other tables that had people seated at them and most of them had their food. We went right across the street to a beautiful restaurant called the blackiron grill and rotisserie which was only a bit more pricey. The service was great and the food was excellent. I wood highly recommend this place to anybody. I'm very disappointed I wasted almost an hour of my life waiting for food that probably still hasn't come. I used to live in the area and tried to stop at this place every chance I had. But on 7/31/2015 I stopped for breakfast, the place was not very busy, maybe 7 to 8 people in there, I sat at the counter, ordered a short stack of pancakes with a side of link sausage. The meal came out, the color of the pancakes was a pale light yellow, barely cooked, the link sausage was almost raw with a thin brown streak on the bottoms, I told the waiter to take them back and have the cook brown them more and roll them while cooking. He informed me that the pancakes always come out like this but he assured me they were cooked thoroughly, wrong, the middle was very wet dough, when he brought the link sausage back it was cremated, burnt. I told him to keep the entire meal and I would go over to McDonalds. Won't be back. read more
