Don't understand some of the haters who have reviewed this spot. I've been maintaining a short fade through two decades in the military and another as a civilian and this spot is legitimately the best barbershop and staff I've come across in all of my travels through the U.S. and the rest of the world. Hell, I even did a little test/research project and got my hair did by every single barber in the shop and never received a bad cut, even from the guys when they were just starting out back in the day. Every barber has their own take on their craft and style, but I always left looking like the fly ass fine specimen of a man that I am with a fresh and clean cut! Don't hesitate to drop by and become part of their family, because that's exactly how they will treat you. They will remember exactly what you like/don't like. They will take you from looking like a hobo to a well maintained gentleman in a snap. I appreciated this experience from the moment I made an appointment until the very end. I first called to enquired about an appointment so that I don't have to sit around, which was no problem at all. Then, I only wanted to focus on getting my out-of-control beard trimmed and shaped, which was possible. Myolo took his time and tamed the bushiness into something more presentable and professional. The atmosphere with sports channels, etc. is not really my cup of tea, but I get that this might be rather popular among most customers. I liked the communication between the barbers as it seemed like they worked as a team. At the same time, I did not feel Myolo's attention was taken away. I was happy with the result, and I didn't feel rushed. Myolo took his time, and I felt I was not just another number. Finally, the check out was pleasant without any attempts for an upsale. After moving to Fort Worth area I really struggled finding good barber for my son. We kept leaving places with terrible cuts or people who just wouldn't listen. Once he got his hair cut at Founders I know we wouldn't go anywhere else. This place is amazing shop. Clean. Everyone is friendly. The shop dog, snow is one of my sons favorite parts about going. They do an amazing job and it is a place that I even took my other son for his first cut, at a year old! I won't take my boys anywhere else, even after moving all the way up to lake worth area. I called to schedule an appointment like I usually do I don't know who answered the phone but he was ridiculously rude as soon as I said I wanted to schedule an appointment he cut me off before I could say anything else "no no we don't got anything available today sorry" I reply'ed ok anything tomorrow or next week and he cut me off before I could say next week and said "no no we don't got anything available today we're closed tomorrow and Monday" I literally couldn't finish what I wanted to say before he would cut me off. I've been going here for probably 6 or 8 months and I like my barber and have never had an experience like that before at founders but it's really turned me off of going back or even recommending this place anymore. Founders, is the BEST Barbershop in the Texas and I've tried ALLOT. Absolutely the coolest vibe, they will offer you coffee, beer, or water while you wait. Was looking to try a new Old school type barber and the traffic on 35 was bad so I stopped in. The place has a great atmosphere. The issue I had was maybe a generational language barrier. I paid $43.00 for a haircut and what started to be a beard trim. I will need to go see Nacho at Legends in Arlington Tx to fix it now. Probably not the place for older men. read more

Attention to detail, that's how I would explain my new barber shop. Brain is my guy, but I've seen the other guys work. Seems like they only hired talented barbers. You will need to make an appointment, they book up quick. Walk ins may not be helped. I loved that you can book your appointment online too. We were very pleased to find founders. At last, a fun establishment with quality service. Unfortunately, today was an altogether different experience. We made an appointment online with a new barber. Our man Patrick (who is awesome BTW) was unavailable. BIG MISTAKE! The cut was a mess, uneven, jagged, just bad. Another stylist tried his best to correct and clean up the cut while giving instruction to the new guy. Was he even licensed? I would have thought Founders would require a higher standard of competency and skill from their employees before turning a newbie loose on a paying customer. I brought my 9yr old little boy in for a haircut, this morning. We were seen as soon as we walked in. Ben was wonderful with my son. With his Autism, he stimms or fidgets, when he has to sit for awhile. But Ben was patient with him and gave him a very nice haircut. My son liked him and he barely moved in his seat. I went to this slightly more upscale barbershop in hopes of trying something a little different and wanted a better barber for the job. Didn't like what I got so just went with what was normal as it was a shorter cut. Didn't like that I am paying over $30 after tip for a super standard hair cut and it's the same price whether you get the veteran or the rookie, which I understand but it just doesn't seem quite right. Went to Founders after getting a not so nice beard trim at a place in Burleson which is named after a place in which a man would park his car and store his lawn equipment. Eric spent 40+ minutes giving me a world class haircut, and beard repair. The other staff was super cool, the atmosphere was super relaxed and fun and the price was right. When I find a barber I usually stick with them foooooorever, but my barber went missing so I had to find a new one so I googled "barber shops near me" and founders Barbershop shop came up and it was pretty close to me. So I was nervous letting someone new cut my hair but I'm glad I did. I scheduled an appointment with Nate, and he was cool af and did a good job cutting my hair, the atmosphere of shop is nice and clean. I watched other barbers cut and they all had good hair cuts. Make sure to ask for an experienced barber if you do decide to go here. I came here as a back up when I couldn't get my son in at his regular place. He left with an uneven cut and burn marks that I had to treat at home. Did not find out until after that we were put with a new barber who only had a few months experience. Great atmosphere. Clean and friendly staff. However, this might be case specific, but the haircut was very underwhelming for the HIGH price point ($25). Hair was left high even after the politeful, "can you go shorter..." towards the end of the haircut. There are high spots were random hairs are sticking out, not uniform throughout. This haircut lacked the attention to detail that a higher end haircut merits. If you're willing to shell out this much for a haircut be sure to be explicit to get what you paid for, even at the risk of sounding like a picky customer. read more

I've been going to Founders for almost 2 years now but Burleson. Fort Worth is new but it has the same owner. The haircuts are priced for market. Any haircut at a higher end barber are going to hover around 25 which is the same at Floyd's in Fort Worth or the Boardroom Which is almost 50. They do great work if you tell them to do a basic haircut then don't complain about the price. It's the same price either way. The owner is awesome and he only employs people who make him and his business look good. read more

I'm visiting the area and was in need of a haircut, I saw that this place had some good reviews so I thought I'd check it out. I went on a Thursday afternoon at about 5:00 and was able to walk in and sit down right away. Nate cut my hair and was awesome! He provided some suggestions, which I was more than willing to hear, and he did a great job. The place has a fun atmosphere from the music and decor to the barbers bantering amongst one another.
