I'm not sure if the person that did it didn't know how to sharpen the razor or was just afraid to cut me, but I literally walked out with a face full of stubble - just marginally better than when I came in. As a fellow naturalista, she took the time to listen to my concerns on a curly cut and from there we addressed the best way to approach my cut (wet vs damp vs dry makes a big difference for us!). I also brought photos to show her of what I thought was achievable. I have a TON of hair but she took her time, care and did the right thing. I left the salon feeling relieved that all my dead, dry ends were gone. She gave tips on caring for my precious strands as well and tools to use. She provides a touch up within two weeks I believe (might be a week) and she was the one to send me a text and ask if I needed a touch up, which I did! I just wanted my front pieces to be slightly shorter in the front. She got me in during the coming weekend. Highly recommend!

Monica is a sweetheart and is always in good spirits. I've been coming here even though I've moved 45 minutes away because I know she'll do a great job. Aaron was very friendly by my standard, but if your idea of friendly is people making small-talk with you, I can't speak to that. I don't expect or even want a bunch of small-talk from people. I'm not a talkative person myself, at least not with people I don't know, so I always appreciate when that is picked up on instead of giving me small-talk questions the entire time. Aaron did his job and he did it well, and that's what I care about the most. I'd highly recommend Aaron and his barber shop to anyone wanting a great traditional cut whether it's just a routine cut or for a special occasion. Make sure you call ahead to get on the list because they don't take appointments. In my opinion it works a lot better this way and you can wait at home instead of waiting at the shop for an appointment that will inevitably be late anyway.

Which is perfectly fine, but she could've saved us both the trouble by just telling me that when I called to make the appointment. Call me foolish, but I assumed I was dealing with a professional stylist. I share their viewpoint on the Covid/mask hysteria and I wanted to support a local business, but this isn't even a real business. This is just a Trumptard with a set of clippers. If you're a ZOGbot at the nearby JRB who just needs a crew cut or high and tight(which any 12-year-old girl can do) this woman might be able to help you. Otherwise, you'd be better off at the local Supercuts.
