I had several sessions with Cavan, and felt that his work was effective at reducing pain, until he pressed on a rib so hard that we both heard it "pop". He jumped back, and as we tried to figure out what happened, he went in to "CYA" mode and tried to blame it on my body. Ummm....really? You pushed on a rib, made it pop out of place, and the fault lies with my body? He refused to take any responsibility or offer any sort of help (physical or financial), and still charged me for the session. Cavan is remarkable at his craft. Forget chiropractor, forget deep tissue massage to relieve pain - facial reposturing does the trick and is long lasting. The results I've gotten from Cavan's work have been terrific. I originally started seeing Cavan just to see what 'reposturing' was and benefited from the work with an improving posture and definitely more energy on a daily basis. I feel so lucky to have found Cavan! He has really helped my body become more flexible. I imagined that I needed someone to Really stretch me out. I found that person! Reposturing has helped get rid of my hip pain from sitting so much at work and in the car driving to/from work. I had pinching between my hip and leg when I'd stand up or get out of the car. The reposturing session stretched me and allowed for the muscles and tendons to get better aligned without the bone cracking of chiropractic which was not for me. My back is less swayed, my ankles are more flexible, my feet are straighter and my hips are not cracking and pinching anymore. YOU MUST SEE CAVAN! I have been having upper hamstring/psoas/piriformus pain for over a year, also right left hip pain. I tried conventional physical therapy, chiropractors, massage, online research blah,blah all to no avail. I run 2-3 times a week and in between work out at the gym. I also travel , fly,drive for long periods of time for work. I luckily found him sniffing through the internet..oh I am so glad I found him!. . Over the past 17 years, I have had both hips and a left shoulder replaced and a year ago, was involved in an automobile accident which included minor whiplash. I have been to private physical therapy and chiropractic sessions, and I have been enrolled in Kaiser since the mid 80's. I first encountered Cavin at the Solano Stroll in Berkeley in Sep 2009 where he was giving free 10 minute sessions in massage and Postural Analysis. During those 10 minutes, he told me that my posture needed straightening and he found a few painful areas that not even I was aware of.
