So easy and chill to talk to! They were even nice enough to send a preview of what the photobooth strip would look like! And it was perfect!! Day of the event, the FamOlay team arrived at the venue right on the dot ready to set up! Their set up was so fun! Fun props for all ages! Cute/ funny signs, sunglasses, hats, necklaces, feather boa scarfs, etc.! The backdrop was simple yet cute- and exactly how I liked it!!! I loved the touch of pink and blue since our baby shower was also a gender reveal! It made dressing up with the props so much fun! The lighting was amazing!! Having a photo booth at weddings might be a trend but, it's definitely a MUST!! We loved seeing our guests let loose, be silly and have fun. Don't get just any photo booth though. We've been to our share of events with photo booths and we knew what to look for. It is inevitable that a group of 30 people will try to fit into the picture - so an open air booth is important! Plus who doesn't love photo bombing and jumping into random pictures? The best thing I love about them, though, is the quality of the pictures. They actually use a professional camera to snap the shots. Along with Aaron, we also worked with Jenny since we loved her photography (a separate review will be written for her :D). Therefore, we were able to book them at a combo price. The prices are very reasonable and they let you customize with a la cart prices. With the package that we got, a white background is included as well as standard props (the unicorn was my favorite.) We added our own props as well. As for the backdrop, I wanted to jazz it up with heart garlands to match our wedding decor and Jenny/Aaron were all for it. They helped me put it on their backdrop on the day of at no additional cost. Also, I got to design my template and am in love with how it turned out!! If you've never done rug tufting before, I recommend going for one of the smaller sizes, because it took me quite a long time to finish my "small" canvas. You send the staff designs ahead of time and they review it and confirm whether it's doable as a rug design. When we got to the studio, the designs had already been prepped at the stations. We got a quick lesson on how to use a tufting gun, got to pick our yarn colors, and got started! I actually found it to be pretty challenging, but at any point if you need help, the employees are super friendly and will assist you. Really fun, 10/10 experience! I would consider doing another one of their many crafts here, and the merch they have for sale is also a really good selection.

It's located in the mall toward the outer edge, so it's actually really easy to access once you park, which was nice. We did decoden art and got to decorate a photo frame, a mirror, and a keychain. The lady working there showed the kids how to get started and explained what to do, and then it was really up to them to get creative! They could go back and forth and choose from all the different little charms and decorations they wanted to use. There were SO many to choose from, which made it even more fun. The whole experience took us about an hour to an hour and a half from start to finish, and the kids got to take home their own unique pieces of art that they created themselves. This is such a cute place with so many different types of crafts to choose from. Even if you're not there to do a craft, they have lots of adorable things you can buy as well. They set up each photo strip to print twice and then guests put one of their photo strips into a book and were able to write a message to us next to it. Seriously one of the best things I took away from that day! I also received a CD of all of the photos taken. These guys will not disappoint! And I didn't even mention price! After not seeing them for 2 years, working with other photographers during that time, and then seeing them again, reminded us how much we truly love working with Ruff and Leslie. They are so personable, accommodating, professional and have a strong eye for photography. Their energy is genuine and organic. Even my 14 year old son said he loved working with them! I would also like to comment on the negative post that I read regarding Leslie not reaching out as soon as the client wanted to. I believe that you cannot expect a business to comment back right away. You need to give at least 48-72 hours for a response. That expectation was just wild especially for one of the best photographers in SD. These are busy business owners! AND parents at that! So that negative review is not a true representation of this business. I can speak on that because Leslie has always responded in a respectable timeframe. They have always been flexible with locations, dates and times. They do their very best to make sure everyone is on the same page and aligned. They are worth the wait and the $$$. You get more than what you pay for plus you're supporting a POC local small business!! Book them for everything over and over again. They have witnessed and been apart of such huge milestones in our lives. We wouldn't have it any other way!

I'll admit, I was very late in response to that email and ended up sending another inquiry on their website a month after. On April 16th- I followed up an email that I received no response to. I received a response the following day and they still had availability for my date at this time and I received a custom quote. I responded two hours after they sent me my quote and, no reply. Understandably, everyone in the wedding business is probably swamped.. so I've tried to be patient. And maybe I should've been more upfront with my budget but I feel like once I mentioned my range, all communication was cut off/halted. I inform my fiancé to attempt and send an inquiry for our date- turns out- they're no longer available. Frustrated with untimely communication but I figured- it is what it is.
