Vans were around $14.99, which isn't great but also not the worst I've seen lately. Home goods weren't huge, but the section was decent and worth a look. I didn't find any jaw-dropping designer labels, but I did find some solid pieces for myself, so it wasn't a wasted trip. Bonus points because they were running orange tags at 75% off, which definitely helped soften the pricing sting. Would I come back? Yes, if I'm already in the area. I can't wear a mask due to very real medical reasons (blood pressure related), under my doctor's advise. Target had apparently rolled out a new (and already outdated compared to their competitors) policy on masks, but the clerk was either entirely ignorant to the details of the policy she was attempting to enforce, or she just wanted to rant at me in a sort of deranged power trip. She told me I couldn't come into the store due to store policy and state policy. My only option was curbside pickup. Period. Target's actual policy is: "Starting August 1, we're requiring guests to wear masks or face coverings in all of our stores, except for those with UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS and young children." State policy is essentially the same. The clerk would not show me their policy in print, so I had to look it up on their website after I left. I suppose if I had a heart attack in the middle of the cereal aisle, it would have been a preferred look for the store, than to show a little consideration for someone who has no problem with respectfully social distancing? I've been going to the Exeter store since it opened, but I will do my shopping at other grocery stores or farmers markets in the future, and all non essentials will be bought on Amazon.

The sign also indicated a workaround of visiting the Asics website for a credit payment. When questioning the manager about the possibility of obtaining the bogo offer in store, the manager replied that was not possible, no workaround. In an attempt to figure out a way to not make this a wasted trip, I offered numerous suggestions. The manager named Matt became annoyed. His frustration boiled over to the point of a completely inappropriate level of loud disrespectful responses. This should never happen in a retail setting no matter the circumstances.

I consulted my handy dandy Yelp app and found that there was this Goodwill right nearby! Awesome! So off I go This Goodwill is in a larger shopping center serving a more rural area. There are some larger/big box stores, some smaller stores and this Goodwill, which was a good sized store. It was pretty easy to find and there is parking right out front, which was extra good as it was a rainy day Inside the store was easy to navigate, with good sized space in between aisles and you don't really have to go through one section to get to another, which is super nice. For example, you don't have to get through clothing to get to housewares. I headed over to the housewares, which was as typical arranged by color. I found a mix of things I was interested in and things I was not, however there were no broken items or things in poor condition. I then cruised over to clothing, where there were some nice pieces, however as it seems to be with the Goodwill stores in general in our area, I found the pricing was a bit high for the items they had. Still some bargains to be found, if you want to hunt I found checkout to be quite easy, and the staff to be pleasant and unobtrusive. The store was clean and well lit I am certain that should we be out in this area again, this Goodwill will be on my list of places to check out.

They sell mattresses and furniture here but don't expect to see any fantastic outlet prices on them. The discounted priced items here are a roll of the dice when you come in. It's a no frills retail environment selling overstock from the Boscov's store. The inventory changes with what they have in stock and the day of our visit most of the items were household related. Everything was new and didn't appear to be "seconds or returns". I didn't see any clothing. My friend said they have good deals on appliances and had bought some in the past. I would say the prices were comparable to a Big Lots. The day we visited they had odds and ends furniture pieces reminiscent of a Rent a Center in design and quality. They were all very affordable. If you're furnishing your first apartment or looking for occasional furniture pieces on the cheap this is where you should go. I would however question their return and warranty policies as I'm not familiar with them. While it wasn't necessarily a hit for me the day we visited, if I lived in the area I would check them out from time to time.

I liked the Chakra incense sticks too. I didn't burn them yet but the packaging was dynamite! I wish when I was going to college that this cool fun store would have been around. It would have been a great time choosing posters, rugs, special lights and decorative items for a slamming dorm. Those days, for me, are long ago & far away.
