Dr Monie is great and takes his time. I never feel rushed and unlike many doctors affiliated with Kadlec, he seems to actually be listening. Unfortunately, the constant hassle with his staff makes seeing him not worth it. The administrative staff are unprofessional and rude and completely unapologetic when they make mistakes, which happens EVERY time I've needed to be seen by Dr Monie. EVERY appointment I've ever made (around 8 or 9) has had some sort of mistake. From confirming the wrong day and time, to losing paperwork, to billing me for more than one visit. There is always a line when I walk in the door, and while there are always between 7 and 8 people milling around at the front counter, only one is actually helping people check in. No eye contact, no friendly greeting, and just general rudeness. I have shown up for appointments and then been told that I never made one, even after playing the confirmation voice mail on speaker for the receptionist to hear. When setting up other appointments at the back desk, the "head" administrator is rude and speaks in a voice loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. The last time I asked her to please keep her voice down when going over my personal information, she comically and sarcastically started a hissing whisper, making very clear that she was annoyed with being called out. When following up on referrals and other paperwork that needed to be forwarded to other specialists I've been told, and I quote, "I'll get to it when I get to it, you aren't the only patient, you know."---this after waiting A WEEK for paperwork to be submitted to my insurance company. There have been other instances when I've brought mistakes to their attention and I've been treated to a loud sigh and an eye roll. At one point I called the general administrator for Kadlec at large and while she took care of my problem and addressed it with the staff, the next time I went in, I was pulled aside by the woman who had given me such trouble and told "Thanks a lot for telling on me, it must be nice to have such free time on your hands." I'd recommend a private practice over this one. Which is a shame, because Dr Monie is genuinely good.

We called ahead at 6:15 p.m. to ask if they were busy, knowing they closed at 7. The person on the phone said they were very busy and it would depend on how many more people arrived before us. We asked if there was a way to reserve a spot or check in online, and were told no it's first come, first served. I was in excruciating pain from a kidney stone, so we drove straight there and arrived within five minutes. The parking lot was nearly empty, just a couple of employees outside smoking. When I walked in, the receptionist said, "Sorry, we're not taking any more patients this evening," claiming two more patients had just walked in. Yet, the waiting room was completely empty, and there was no indication that the clinic was too full to help. To make matters more confusing, the front of the building has a sign saying you can check in online. I asked why this wasn't mentioned when we called, and in fact, we were told the opposite that they did not do that and so why advertise it on the building of all places?. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful, especially in the context of someone clearly in visible pain. If they were done seeing patients for the night, they should've just said so upfront it would've saved us time, frustration, and unnecessary discomfort. I hope they consider improving their communication and patient care process. Transparency and empathy go a long way in healthcare

Putting someone on hold for 30 minutes with an automated message telling them they are last in a que of 50 people is absurd. Can't help but feel it's pure BS intended to force people to an automated form of communication, the opposite approach of the type of care that was received when the practice was independent.

As someone who has never given birth, I was nervous for every procedure. Dr. Lorenzo explained things to me in a way I could understand and offered multiple options to me, not pushing any particular one on me. My surgery was August 2025 and I have felt like a new woman ever since, iron anemia is now cured. His office staff and assistants are amazing and the hospital staff where the surgery was performed also spoke highly of him. My abdominal scar healed so good. Without a doubt I would highly recommend. I traveled from Yakima to see him and have the procedures performed. Definitely worth it.

I had a partial knee replacement and was kept overnight due to an error in scheduling my physical…read moretherapy, which is essential upon release. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from the start. During pre-registration, I was completely confused about how I would receive my post-surgery medications. The nurse handling my intake incorrectly told me that my doctor didn't prescribe meds to be delivered at the hospital. I had to check MyChart myself and confirm that, in fact, my prescriptions were being handled there and would be delivered bedside. This unnecessary confusion could have been avoided with better communication. My actual hospital stay was even worse. My pain catheter became unplugged, and I didn't realize it for hours until I felt something wet. The nurse never checked it, leaving me in excruciating pain without proper management. Twice, I was the one who discovered the issue. My IV also blew, and the beds were so thin they caused serious back discomfort. The nurse assigned to me was very new and lacked the experience to handle my care properly. To make matters worse, I was denied the progression of pain medication, and I still don't understand why. Thankfully, the next shift was a completely different experience. A more experienced nurse took over, got me in tip-top shape, and both she and the floor supervisor apologized profusely. While I appreciate their efforts to make things right, the initial experience was unacceptable. This facility needs to improve its communication, staff training, and oversight--especially for post-surgical care. I was very disappointed and frustrated at the least but never was rude. I just cried when morning staff had told me my doctors orders regarding prn control and how the night nurse refused me this medication. So many hours in pure agony. The Night Nurse actually quoted me saying did you know that most addictions start right after surgery! She also said oh you'll be taking pills because you're prescribed pills when you go home yet I'm not home right now? These are word for word.
