Forward in my mind is one of those companies that stands out in my mind has exceptional customer service. Dr Brown is incredibly knowledgeable and goes into great detail to answer any questions you might have. I make sure to go in prepared and pepper her with a variety of questions. After each visit I feel I have taken a course on medicine. I can't emphasize enough on how knowledgeable she is! All staff is very friendly and polite. I feel forward is exactly in line with what I want from a health care. Preventative maintenance. Again I try and make sure to ask questions and take the appropriate steps to nip things in the bud before something more serious comes down the line. My only gripe is the monthly fee, but you can't put a price on your health. read more

App does not work any longer. Just a continuous loop back to the main screen. No doctor or nurse is ever available for blood draws or to answer questions and won't prescribe my RXs since it's a "controlled" drug. That's why I need your doctor to prescribe for me. I will definitely cancel this program as soon as I can without penalty. Not worth it at all. The Forward Pod is not staffed for many of the tests. Waste of time. read more

I was with Forward from the time they opened until last summer. I joined for a couple of different reasons. First, I really wanted to take a proactive approach to my health. I saw their ads and everyone talking about how high-tech Forward is, that you can do everything in the app, and that the app connects with the health data in your phone, so that your doctors can see all your data and use it to help you optimize your health. I even read reviews about how they gave away Apple Watches to some people who joined the weight loss program and that it was a state-of-the-art program. None of this was the reality, but I'll elaborate more on that in a moment. Secondly, I was self-employed and uninsured. The idea of having a mostly all-inclusive medical plan for less than an insurance premium seriously appealed to me. They somewhat delivered there, but I found the care to be sub-par and the money mostly wasted. I was misdiagnosed and ignored when I questioned the diagnosis. That should be enough to explain the one-star rating, but I'll elaborate for those who are curious. My doctor missed the mark repeatedly. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. There were visits they didn't bother to check my A1C. At one point, it took about a week to get a COVID test back. Then, I had some abdominal issues. Based on bloodwork that showed high liver enzymes and an ultrasound that showed a fatty liver, she determined that my issues were caused by my liver and that I should keep trying to lose weight to improve my liver health and that my symptoms would improve. Months went by without a symptom change despite weight loss, and despite bloodwork returning to normal. I asked repeatedly if she was sure my liver was causing the problems and she reaffirmed it. My new doctor was bewildered when I told her the prior one had blamed my liver. She said it couldn't be causing the symptoms I have. She ordered a CT scan... my Forward doctor missed a bunch, and no, it was not my liver causing my symptoms, nor were my issues related to my weight. Service is also shoddy via the app. It's hard to get appointments. If you have a question, it's outsourced. I genuinely believe they outsource to another country and the reps don't speak English well... which wouldn't be the end of the world if they were only fielding appointment questions, but they're giving medical advice and are a barrier between you and your doctor. Trying to get info after a test result came back abnormal was a nightmare via the app. They didn't even understand basic questions. The weight management program is a joke and not even the doctors seemed to know how it worked. I met with a special doctor at the onset and she told me she'd see me again at six weeks and at the end of the 12-week program. The program literally consists of them emailing you a new step to incorporate each week, you acknowledging in the app you're doing it, and then nothing. Nobody talks to you. Nobody checks your weight or looks at your food diary or anything at all. Since I'd already done Noom, I was already doing all the steps and I got absolutely nothing out of the Forward program. I also never heard from the doctor after the first visit, though I did leave before the program concluded. Noom was superior in every possible way and I didn't even work with a doctor through it. It's also worth noting that everyone sends you links to online articles that relate to whatever you're talking about. The articles often provide contradictory advice to what you were told. Providers often contradict each other as well. Instead of Forward being this beautiful high-tech integrated approach that was promoted, it was a bunch of different providers and people who didn't seem to communicate or read charts. When I called to ask questions ,they got very Irritated And He wanted to get off the phone .They advertise that they have unlimited appointmentsTo see a doctor But in reality it takes 2 weeks to get an appointment so you're Only able to get 2 visits per month at best it's not unlimited Then they state that you can talk to a doctor online every day if you want not true it's not a doctor that you actually talk to it's one of your staff members please not a doctor not a nurse it's a regular person it's you're a person answering questions how funny is that So much deception Save your money your regular doctor it's just fine your insurance pays for it You're not getting any extra by going to forward doctors They don't even do their own DNA testing it's 25 and me does the testing Not forward doctors read more

An update to my review. The first year was great, I received prompts to schedule appointments for blood work and other health prevention appointments and then it completely dropped off. I received an invitation to participate in a heart health program which I did, there was an initial call with a physician which was very generic and then there was supposed to be monthly check ins... I never heard another word from them. After the first year I only received a prompt to get blood work done quarterly and none of the other yearly check ups. Now I don't even get prompted for blood work. I canceled the membership I get subpar generic healthcare anywhere. And the "Care Team" could use some communication training. read more

Hi, I can't say enough good things about Forward. I was able to whiz through a bunch of tests that I wanted done. There referrals for bone density testing and subsequently adding calcium has been spot on. Dr Buffington and the support team have provided instant responses as I've had questions come up. I was falling asleep at about 2 pm each day and Dr Buffington prescribed a medication for me and I'm alert, sleeping soundly, probably for the 1st time in the last 10 years. What would have taken me a year to get into primary care docs has happened much faster. I feel more satisfied with continual text ability. read more

The grammar and punctuation of these comments show the foundation of the statements (Coming from an immigrant). If you are trapped in the corporate world with lower end health insurance plaN and glorified 401k matching, this might not be for you. As a self employed person this concept is a win. I got the most detailed skin exam I've ever experienced , ekg, blood panel... while being in a clean, new facility without dozens of people coughing around me. I tried Forward and they were awful. Great idea but poor execution. This company will fail. Their support staff was so incompetent. They couldn't call in my prescriptions correctly or send out faxed referrals to other doctors. It caused me to waste so many hours of time trying to get the Forward employees to do their jobs. I didn't think anything about the medical system could get worse but Forward has done it. I needed a referral for a specialist, and after many months, Forward still had not sent the referral. When I asked for a refund they refused and only tried to get me to sign up for additional months. It sounds like a great idea but Forward is horrible. 0/10 do not recommend! Like many other individuals, a 24/7 concierge appealed to me. The five minute traditional PCP appointment does not appeal to me. My initial appointment wasn't scheduled for 3 weeks after my enrollment. This meant that they were going to be collecting another fee shortly after that appointment. It was super nice that the blood draw came to my house, but trying to get ahold of a live person was impossible. My appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks after my initial sign on date which was already the end of the month. I attempted to see if there was a option to schedule at in person at another location, but no such option was available on the app. I finally found a sooner available appointment only to find out I need a computer for a zoom appointment. Whaaaaaaat??? I've used my phone for zoom appointments with no issue. I enrolled in this service to have access to doctors when I need them and not be pushed aside like many doctors do. I realize now that this service is no different. I had several important medical issues that came up during my month that I would have liked to be able to communicate with someone, but there was no 24/7 number. In fact the app provided zero support. They are pretty much just collecting your money. Maybe it does get better when you can actually see a doctor, but that's doubtful being as how the doctors don't even live in the same state I am in. read more

If you are looking to replace your Primary Care Physician with this "service"? DON'T!!! It is an absolute sham of a practice. You can't get ahold of a real person. Then you ask medical questions via email, before they have seen you, they refuse to answer. Which is kind of understandable, but not when they cancel the first visit three times on you over two months and then refuse to refund any of the money because you want to quit. Sorry that is not our policy. Yeah, I'll bet it's not! Run so far away from this "Doctor", that you meet yourself coming the other way! Pretty sure this was not taught in Medical school! How to scam your clients out of money without doing any actual work! If you choose to go with them, may the odds be ever in your favor!! SMH at the audacity!!!
