Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

In any case they sent over a plumbing apprentice and electrical apprentice to do the job which they charged me an arm and a leg for they had to redo much of the work under the supervision over the phone from the plumber, who was supposed to be on the job. I know the details because I had disclosed that we have cameras all over the house for our business because we have a business and in one of our outbuildings. Every time there was a problem I called over to the plumbing department and said hey this has happened and the guy doesn't know what to do. It was just I want to say shit show but that's an understatement. PS that plumbing work failed and my son and his best friend fixed it as my son used to work for my construction company so I am very familiar with Plumbing. Naturally, we decided not to go back to Simple Energy because we were so disgusted with their work and because the dispatcher was so incredibly rude to me over the phone. He complained that I was spying on his worker while the worker was at my house and I just closed it. I had cameras and of course the cameras are monitored so hello. What he was mad was is that I knew he sent me someone who was really not qualified to do the work . In any case I had put this ridiculously bad Plumbing experience behind us when today a Simple energy propane truck drove through my backyard after delivering Propane to my next-door neighbor. I called Shawn at Simple Energy And said this was not acceptable especially because the driver didn't see me and almost hit me and our puppy as he zoomed through my backyard. You can't trespass you can't drive across my yard, especially if you're not delivering to me two strikes against the company. I don't know if they hire bad people or what but all in all I'd say I had a crummy experience.

I sent out a barrage of emails to a number of companies that served our area and one response jump out. They responded to my inquiry within just a few hours and were able to get me scheduled for a inspection within a few weeks. I'm sure autumn is a very busy time and my guess is they had a tech coming to the area without a full docket for the day. They have a very clear process, prompt communication, and a very professional approach. On the right day I got a call from the tech that he would be on site within 30 minutes, which was well within the expected window. When he arrived we chatted a bit and, once he got suited up, he jumped into the work and wasn't hesitant to get in there, clear the cobwebs, check some items in our basement, etc., Very thorough and he was able to provide me a good status of my chimney, options for the wood burning insert I had asked about, and a clear, documented, process for how I can get there plus what to do to make sure this chimney will last another 150 years. I was impressed. They are a professional organization, serving a very large area, and not the least expensive option. But, that's not to say they wouldn't be the best value. The technician onsite was very knowledgeable but wasn't shy about contacting his team for further input. All signs of a healthy, stable, company. No pressure. No hard sell. No forced timelines. Just great info, patience, and a real dedication to keeping things tidy! Great visit and a company I would use again for sure!

Employee from here nearly caused a massive accident today on my drive to work (9/24 8am). We all slammed on our breaks to a complete stop. Car behind me had to come up on my side to avoid slamming into me. I've seen wrecks in front of this place before, I'm assuming this is how they happen. These people should not be out driving around let alone working on people's houses. I will make it a personal mission to dissuade anyone from doing business with these dangerous fools. The driver in question is lucky I was on the way to work, all I'm going to say.

It smells AWESOME!! The guests we had last night who had the pleasure of camping next to it - big fans. I called to see when it was being picked up. 'Oh, today, for sure today (already one day late). The next day: 'oh, I think they were all picked up (looking out my window, I must disagree) Following day: 'for sure today. We're really busy (clearly not with the rental side of the business) 10 AM Day four: 'it will absolutely be picked up today'. 3PM Day four: (out running errands before guests arrive) 'we have picked it up' 5PM Day four: ummm, so it's still here 'oh, yes. Our truck broke down, we'll get it tomorrow' Day five: arrive home 2PM. You'll never guess. 'We had an emergency and our technician was called out. Crickets....
