Went here for the first time a day ago and unfortunately, I won't go back. I got the Tangerine pedicure with a gentleman nail stylist and was over scraped on my heels. That and I got burned with the paraffin wax and the hot stones. Paraffin wax: The wax was extremely hot! I mentioned it was hot once the first foot went in and then when he grabbed the bag for the second foot, I thought it would be cooler but no. Got burned again. Hot stones: Stones were way too hot! Again, they burned me. I do not have sensitive skin. I've several great pedicures with hot stones, masks, paraffin wax and more. He just seemed like he didn't care. I am giving two stars because the technician who applied my nails was very kind and friendly, and the price was reasonable for the service I received. However, I will never go back due to the fact that I witnessed basically the entire staff visibly and audibly make fun of a customer on her way out (for reasons I won't disclose, let's leave it at that). It was appalling and unnecessary. Also, my acrylics are way too thick and entirely too big for my nails. They are hanging off the sides and are all different lengths. I came here once when they first opened and I received decent service, so I was in the area and decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon. (June 25, 2016) All I can say good, is my fiancé and I didn't have to wait. I received the Thai pedicure and a manicure for myself. The Pedi/mani was mediocre with a halfway decent massage. The technician didn't even speak one word to me. I picked out a pastel pink Hello Kitty polish, and the explanation I received about the streaky polish is, "It's a hard color to paint!" The very next day the polish started peeling off of my nails! I feel as if I just literally gave $50 away for subpar services. Bells and whistles. While this salon does have "ooooo" and "ahhhh" factors, the quality of the pedicures are far from impressive. I will give them credit as they have upgraded every massage/pedicure chair to be equipped with your own personal iPad, but I feel like it acts as a distraction to the quality of the pedicure. First, you are given a hefty menu of pedicure services to choose from... ranging from $35-$65 with a variety of "special additions." For example, a Deluxe pedicure comes with a "Jasmine Tea Soak" and the Thai pedicure has a "Coconut lotion treatment" and "Puncture Point Massage." I can only comment for these two pedicures because they are the only ones I've gotten... so I will! The Deluxe Pedicure was good, I enjoyed the hot wax submersion of my feet...but the hot stone massage therapy was far from a massage... it felt more like a "rub the stone up and down your leg." I was disappointed since I was looking forward to a nice massage for 10 minutes. I let it slide since I accepted that some Pedicure-ists (?) just have a gentle touch. This time, the "white tip" aka French pedicure was included in the $35 price, so with everything that it came with, I was ok with the price since they did take the time to do all the items on the menu. The next pedicure I got was the Thai Pedicure a few months later. This time, I was excited for the "Puncture Point Massage" and the Hot Stone Therapy... again, i was disappointed. They have timers to let you know that the massage will, in fact last 10 minutes... but she started the timer before she had the whole thing set up! She basically rubbed the lotion on my calves for 2 minutes, 2.5 minutes with the hot stone, then moved to the next leg... I was curious where this "Puncture Point Massage" was, and apparently, she had included it in the 10 minutes of lotion rub down. Naturally, I was upset since it seemed like such a gyp, and that everyone was distracted by the iPads and free drinks (yes, you have a choice of a soft drink during your time there). Also, all the $35 pedicures turned into $38 pedicures, and the added French was $5 more. Which I found out after it was done. I know French is usually a little extra, but seeing as how it wasn't last time, I would've liked a fair warning. I also came with a group of 5 ladies, where 2 of them only wanted polish on their nails and they were completely overlooked! So needless to say, organization was a little poor this time. It's a nice place, and workers are nice, but not sure I'd come back to NOT get my massage with my pedicure. So, if you like bells and whistles, then this is a good place for you. read more

Well contrary to other reviews, I thought this was the best mani/pedi I've ever had. I was there for 2 hours. The price was a little steep but I don't get pampered often (like maybe twice a year), so I don't mind paying a little more. I just hope the polish lasts long like she said. I like the variety of pedi's to choose from, I've never seen so many! I will definitely be going back! I always got pretty good service here. But as a former nail tech student I know what items are supposed to be disposed of and what is not. I have watched them clean (in the sanitizer steamer machine) (can't remember the name for nothing) utensils and repackage them in the white and blue packets and bring them out to use on other people. However most of the clients probably don't realize it cause they are in the packets and get opened like new, right in front of them. Since I saw this happen I have not been back. read more

Worst experience. I had dip powder on my nails, and a couple of broken nails on my dominant hand. I knew I didn't have time to do a full set, but I just needed the old ones removed and a manicure to get me by. I asked to have my natural nail cut short and rounded and just some regular polish. "Pedicure? Eyebrow? Gel manicure?" No just regular polish please I don't have enough time today. The technician didn't cut my nails at all, and squared them off. The polish was shaken so much so there were bubbles on every nail, and what's worse is the hair stuck to it. The topper for this trip is that this whole deal took an hour. The check in receptionist is forgetful and doesn't communicate to the nail techs exactly what your getting done. I was a faithful customer to this establishment, but they chose Mother's Day to blow it with my mother and me.My mom only needed a color change, I got a complete pedicure. My pedicure lasted 1 hour and my mother still hadn't received service, but clients that were getting complete pedicures continued to be seated. My mom and I chose to leave and Monica decided to argue with me and tell me that this made sense. It made absolutely no sense at all, and to continue to argue the point was beyond unprofessional. Please allow me to say I walked into Forum Nails today with a lot of excitement of having 1 to 1 1/2 hours of ahhhh. Boy was I anticipating too much. It has been at least my 8th visit, most of them have been pleasant. My favorite ladies where with clients so the women from the back came up to me, walked me to a chair and she didn't say hi, hello, today stinks..nothing, OK there is a free one. Before I sat down I specifically stated "PLEASE do not cut my nails I want to grow them out". ( just a little for spring and summer). She repeated back to me what I said,,,,I thought "great', no problems. I asked for my usual mid range pedi and agreed to her up sale $50.00 one. After my foot soak I looked up at the TV and hear a "CLIP". She was clipping my nails. " Oh you DONT want me to cut your nails" ? No doubt she could see by the look on my face I was not happy . No excuse for not remembering a simple request. It was down hill the entire time from burning hot towels, scolding water ..both of which she should have pre-checked. To, digging so hard into my skin her co-worker told her to be more careful. As I sit here typing this review I feel the rough skin I Paid her to remove on both of my feet. The foot massage was nice but, that was not all that I was UP sold to recieve, or was it. I did NOT have a relaxing visit. Also I am not remotely pleased with my overall experience. Truthfully I could not wait until I walked out the door. I remained as pleasant as possible in spite of everything. I understand social grace...... Sorry Forum Nails...some of your staff need retraining and saying hello with a smile, listening to customers request and checking hot water, towels should be reviewed for starters. I will never come back. My boyfriend went to the Ichiban next door, ordered, ate, and sat there for 30 minutes and came back to the nail salon and I was still waiting. Then I finally get seated to get a full set and a manicure and the girl next to e is complaining her nail is crooked the nail tech tells her it's her nail. I then was rushed through my set she spoke on the phone the whole time and spoke across the salon to all the others wouldn't give me the time of day. I have been going here for a while now, I usually let Tommy do my nails, but when I went yesterday he wasn't there. I started to leave but Monica talked me into staying saying the other girls can do dip nails, My real nails where about 2 inches long, now they are maybe half of an inch long now, the nail tech that did my nails had to be new because I never saw her before, she soaked my nails for about 5 min and took a cotton ball and was being very aggressive trying to get the dip off my real nails and broke 2 of them, I was very pissed, she wanted to to put artificial tips on the 2 that broke I told her no, did I come in with artificial nails on, so I was like just cut the 8 off, at that point I wanted to explode, so I let her finish them and was very disappointed with the results, they are ugly and wasn't shaped right at all, and then wanna charge me $40, I gave them $30 and will not be going back, they rush when a lot of people start coming in, If tommy was there, my nails would have been done the way I wanted them, it's best to always go with the gut feeling read more

I was a faithful and loyal customer for the past couple of years. I feel that I am a good tipper ($10 for fill-ins $20 for new full set or pedicure). I would not go anywhere else for my gel nails or pedicure. Since the owners moved out of state and the business has been under new management, the service and quality of work has diminished. I wear pink and white gel. If I needed/requested back fills on the white, I would be told by the tech that I did not need white. After each of my last 5 visits, I have experienced the worst chipping and lifting I have ever experienced. My nails look bad after the first week. My nails look horrible now and I am in need of fills but I cannot go back to this establishment and be disappointed again. I will have to take my chances on a new location. read more

On Friday May 22,2020 I went into the establishment and signed in at 5:09PM. I forgot to write my number down as the receptionist said we could wait outside or in our cars and they would call us when it's our turn. I went outside and sat in my car and realized at 5:37 I may not have written down my number so I called back to make sure. The receptionist said yes you forgot and asked me for my number and repeated it back to me and said okay we got it. I wanted a pedicure, full set, and eyebrows. By 6:38 PM I called just to check and see if I could get an estimated time on how much longer before my turn. The receptionist said well we have 4 employees and a few in front of you. I said no I have to go out of town tomorrow and I'll wait. I said as long as I'm on the list I'm good right. She said yes. By 8:31 PM I still hadn't received a call. I walked in and the receptionist says we are closed we not taking anymore people. I sat down and said I'm already on the list. She looks over to one of the nail techs and says something about me being there you want me to tell her etc etc. She then literally looks in my face and lies to me. She stated I left the parking lot, customers said nobody was out there waiting, that's why one employee went home because it wasn't busy. I said my car has not left the parking lot not once. I sat there for three and a half hours and you have the nerve to lie to my face like my time and patience wasn't valuable but I'm sure my money would have been. I watched this same receptionist come outside after the storm passed and wiped down the chairs, I watched a couple come in and go back out to their car to get their mask, I watched them turn around quite a few people, but I left? Not only that I called you more than once asking about my turn and you continuously said we still busy. You never called me back for my turn nor did you say come on inside. You had us waiting when I first got their and then you allowed people to come in so they wouldnt get wet but not one time when I called did you say come on in or call and tell me it was your turn. Then you life in my face after you sat here and waited patiently for my turn. Then the nail tech says are you on the list and I said yes there's my name right there signed in at 5:09PM and as I look at this list I notice myself and a few others had been skipped over. I also noticed two women who came in after me had been serviced. The thing about a business is without paying clients you have no business. I sat and waited patiently like everyone else. I wanted to pamper myself like everyone else whose been waiting this quarantine o it and that's how you treat me. I could have had kids waiting at home, elderly family waiting for me to come care for them and you lie in my face, skip over me, and then have the audacity to ask me to come back tomorrow. That's very unprofessional and inconsiderate of your employees. When I lived in N.C. I came to this place faithfully every 2-3 weeks I remember when they first got there in Hope Mills. Never have I ever experienced such a terrible and unprofessional experience. We have all waited patiently for these type of businesses to open. How dare you treat customers like that. You could have at least did my eyebrows or something for waiting 3.5 hours then asked me to come back tomorrow. But you lied to me and I will never trust a business who has employees lying especially with proof. The situation could have been handled differently. And by the way the receptionist said she came outside multiple times and asked were people waiting. Because I was sitting in my car I saw her walk out once. I can tell you what every single customer looked like, how many were turned away, the woman who sent her kids home without service, the two women who came after me when they ordered food from the restaurant beside the nail shop, and even the same two women who got services when they came in after me. This was distasteful, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. You might want to reconsider how you do things the next woman might not be as calm. read more

5/31 UPDATE!- so I knew I felt something off on my big toe and it was sore and it stung after she removed an ingrown, she had cut me!!! And now toe is throbbing and is red!! The only thing impressive about this place is the decor and the new factor. So they have iPads on their chairs, half of them were dead and didn't work. 1. The receptionist was NOT VERY RECEPTIVE! Plain out B*** mode if u get my drift. 2. They offered only SOME people drinks, and not others including us! 3. THE ENTIRE TIME IM GETTING A PEDI I WANT TO RELAX! Not constantly get upsold!!! 4. My friend and I came together, to get pedis together, not one after the other. 5. They started on other people who had arrived after me? 6. The pedi's are nothing special!!! 7. Over all this place is nothing special, I rather go to unique nails or classy nails (for this area) or some of the other places in town and feel comfortable. 8. They force you to pay cash. A group of dressed up ladies ( looked like a bridal party) came in and they were given 1st class service!!!! Once we shot down the upgrade the nail techs got annoyed and were not friendly. I have been a loyal customer of Lynn's even before Forum Nails existed. So when her sister opened up this shop and she started working there I became an instant customer. I've nearly always been impressed with the quality of service provided. They are expensive, but are the only place I've found that can really get all dry skin off your feet. They've gone above and beyond for me, including opening up the shop late so I could get a touch up before a big date. They are amazing. My mother and grandma recently visited and they were both very impressed with their experiences. They said if someplace like this existed in their hometown they would have no problem paying for the service and experience provided. Just to clarify I'm a single teacher and my mom is a retired sales clerk at a department store, so when we say the prices are worth the service it is not because we have money to throw away. read more

The staff are very nice and accomodating, and the owners don and mimi are always so friendly and welcoming of me. I ABSOLUTELY love tracey! I've been here on multiple occasions (it use to be my go to spot). I switched because every time I go, I could do a better job on my nails. I pay the same amount I would anywhere else, for far worse service. You would think that the more they do it, the better they get. Not here. I always get the gel manicure, and in less than a week the tops peel, and the color is uneven on my nails (where they could just do an extra coat like my new place, to even it out). There have been times where they tell me I have to get glitter (because they were out of clear?) And insisted that I would like it better. Don't know how many times it took me telling them no, that I can't have that with my job. And how do they not have the off white to do American manicures? My last experience there, besides my nails looking like my daughter did them, was the most annoying. I specifically said 5-6 times that my mother and I were there together. Despite all the open spots next to each other, they literally placed us rows away. I'm done going here, for multiple reasons. There are far better places that charge the same, have better customer service, and do a quality job! read more

I have been a loyal customer here for almost 4 years, in the past year the customer service here has just been flat out RUDE. My breaking point was tonight. I go get my nails done or a pedicure to relax, not constantly be upsold. I told the technician I just wanted the basic spa pedicure, she then told me to get the lemon drop (which was almost 60 dollars) instead, I said no thanks I have a budget, she then asked if I wanted a manicure and I said no thanks, after that she was just rude the entire time! Didn't want to talk to me and tried to skip my massage! But the icing on top of the cake was while my nails were drying the owner came over to make small talk I told her how I'm getting ready to move etc, she looked at my check and asked why I didn't get the more expensive pedicure! She's lucky I'm there giving her business and any of my money in the first place! My point is spend your money elsewhere where the owner will truly appreciate your business and so will the workers.
