I love Krystal C. Work at this salon. She is consistently great at acrylic work and paint. Any time something happened to my nails she finds a solution. Example: like 2 of my nails chipped and at the next visit she troubleshooted that they were a hair too thin for my length and level of activity. I've been to places before and they don't acknowledge that there is a solution to chipping, I've always assumed it's expected with false nails. Not the case! She is knowledgeable and sanitary and pays attention to detail! I won't see anyone else without her recommendation (when she's unavailable and I can't wait). 5 star read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! For your own safety i recommend to not come here. I was new to the area and wanted to get may nails done wishing military regulations and i saw the reviews on here and decided to try it out. I have gotten Gel X nails before and i know that there is a sort of uncomfortable sensation on the nails when the gel is curing. The lady closet to the window was doing my nails and i was on video call with my fiancée since i went alone. She did the first nail and i kid you not it was extremely painful not even uncomfortable just absolutely UNBEARABLE. I told her and her response was that after that it stops hurting. I tend to not want to disturb someone while they're working but there was multiple times where i voiced that i was in pain and questioning whether there was something wrong with the gel or the light. She completes my whole right hand and moved to my left and lord i couldn't help it anymore because next thing you know i pass out!!! My fiancée was terrified since he said i went straight head forward onto the table! The employees were sweet enough to get me water and a fan but i think the was malpractice and someone who didn't train properly. The nails turned out very cute don't get me wrong but i did my research not long after and there were a few factors that made me realize that they don't really have the proper training or tools. She was holding the light way to close and leaving it on one spot for each nail, that is what made it feel unbearable. After the service they charged me around 120-130$! read more

I was extremely disappointed with my service this day. I've had nothing but great experiences with the techs before so I didn't anticipate this would be a problem. I had Brenda this particular day. I always lead with the fact that I like my nails, particularly cuticles, a certain way and that I really need the clean look around my nail beds. I was there for 3.5hrs for a gel mani/pedi. On several occasions I had to ask her to redo nails and would show her where I was displeased and I would be met with either an attitude or a negation of what I felt was the issue. For starters, she would use the excuse that the business itself limits her from doing certain things and that's why I received the service that I did. Secondly, she struggles with the cuticle trimmer. I think learning another way to hold it may be beneficial. As she cut the sides of my nail, she held it and cut them horizontally instead of vertically so much was missed. And my cuticle was actually never cut down. She only attempted to cut what was on the nail bed and what was underneath the cuticle once she scraped the nail for dear life. It was actually painful. Lastly, my nails were not even filed neatly. I was certainly taken aback and wasn't even interested in going through with the gel manicure at that point. It's unfortunate because I really liked the previous nail techs I've had and they gave such thorough service. I'll likely still go back but ensure that I use other techs. The photos associated with this review were taken 3hrs after I left the salon. It literally looks as if I never received a manicure. After 3.5hrs, I declined the gel service and left after the gel pedicure and regular manicure. I wasn't even interested in a clear polish on my nails at this point. Update: Brenda left me the most unprofessional and immature response here on Yelp. She used expletives, some sexual in nature, and confused me with another dissatisfied customer of hers (go figure). I will certainly never patronize this establishment again. read more

Update: I messaged Ninja Nails on FB and the owners got back to me, were very apologetic, refunded what I paid and offered a discount. I've had several people reach out to assure me this is the standard behavior of Brenda and not a good reflection of the rest of the staff so I'll be giving them another chance. ---- I went in to have dip powder taken off. Simple. Except it wasn't. Instead of wrapping each nail in foil as most places do they had me place my hands in bowls of acetone - and then, when my hands started burning she just filed off what came off easily, didn't bother trying to smooth the ends or the surface and said have a nice day. I'm left with ragged nails with dip powder still on them. I'm still going to have to figure out how to get the rest off and now my skin is also wrecked on my hands. No nail tech should feel like it's acceptable to allow someone to leave with nails so rough that they can't even touch their own skin or clothing. It took a $3 file to fix the rough mess Brenda left me with. And I wouldn't have called her out by name but she sent me a very rude and unprofessional message disputing my experience. She never offered a manicure - which I would have taken her up on, had she explained the mess I'd be left with without it. I can deal with having the leftover dip powder left more-so than how exceedingly rough and ragged my nails were. She also told me I should have gone to where I got them done to have them taken off. Went in for a last minute pedicure. You need to have an appointment during this time. They have good things in place to keep you separated from the nail tech and I watched her clean the chair after I got out of it so it's been sanitized. My pedicure was nice, although a little shorter than I had hoped. I'll have to make sure I spring for the best one instead of the hot stone one so I can get some more massage action. The polish selection is pretty limited but the gel is huge. I would assume most people just get gel. If you want a regular polish in a specific shade it may be best to bring it. I did not get the name of the gal but she was super sweet and did a great job on my gel pedicure! And then I met Tish who did my nails, and she was amazing. She is personable and hilarious, but I don't go there for that. I am a super picky person who also doesn't speak up which makes for a bad combo. But she listened to what I wanted, made me feel comfortable, and did a GREAT job. She seems meticulous in her work which I appreciate. We went with a Dip manicure and I love it. When I first saw that this location had a 5 star rating with 41 reviews I of course was a little reluctant to think it was actually that good. I have to say that my wife has tried a countless number of nail salons since we have been here and Ninja Nails hands down gives the best pedicures with the best service there is. When you go in they give both my wife and I a bottle of water and on top of that they ask about where I am even if I'm not there with her. This salon takes the time to be personal and also give a high quality nail salon experience. Definitely a must go to if you are in the area. As I said in a previous tip, if you pay cash then you save 5% and if you come in Monday-Thursday while it's raining then you save 10%. They also always have deals and specials for the holidays or the summer months. read more

Even though they say they take walk ins only 2 people were working on this day. It was the Thursday before new years. Idk if it's because I'm from NY but I'm use to like 8-10 workers in a salon ready to just get you beautified especially around the holiday season. Any who the lady that did my pedicure was amazing. I have had two separate experiences with Ninja Nails. The first time I visited the nail salon was in Fall 2015 where I received a regular manicure. I made an appointment beforehand, as I read that it could get busy. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and offered a bottle of water. The two stars commensurate the level of customer service - everyone was very nice and communicative throughout the entire process. The nail color selection is pretty good, although the gel selection is not as extensive. The process was sanitary and pleasant. The lack of stars, however, stems from the longevity of my manicure. Within three days, my nail polish began to chip. Although, I understand that it is a regular manicure, I have never had an experience with such a short-lived nail polish. Now, flash forward to my second experience. I even brought a friend along, as the people who work there were extremely kind and helpful, and this time I would be receiving a pedicure, gel polish and eyebrow waxing. Again, the process was very pleasant without any issues. I will also note that my pedicure looks great even a week later. However, not even five days after my gel polish manicure, I had chips on two nails. Two days later, and the polish on one of my nails has chipped halfway off. For a gel manicure, I expect WAY more especially since I have had experiences with gel manicures lasting over a month's time. Overall, I have not had an issue with customer service or the environment of the salon itself. I do not appreciate, however, how short my manicures last and do not think I will be revisiting. read more

They are located in a little strip mall I found the location to be a little sketchy. The atmosphere was not what I expected. I am used to aide spa like salon but this was a very bland, generic building. It was one large room with about 5 or 6 pedicure chairs and 4 or 5 manicure stations. When I walked in I wasn't greeted. I stood awkwardly looking for a sign in sheet but couldn't find one. Finally someone came over and asked if they could help me. They never mentioned there would be a long wait. They said they were "finishing up". Their color selection was limited in the gel polish. I sat down and waited for an hour before they even started getting my pedicure chair ready. The TV was playing Netflix but it had timed out and no one fixed it the entire hour I was waiting. The song selection was also very weird. I am used to spa like music but instead they played everything from country to gospel to 90s Pop. Some songs I have never heard. When they took me back they did my nails first. They didn't clean the station before starting my manicure. The simply cleared off the desk with a nail file. Typically the soak your hands in warm water before starting but they didn't. She went right into filing. I didn't know if this was because she was trying to save time or what. The lady that did my nails was nice and did a good job. For the pedicure she did a great job and took her time. I was surprised because they typically rush through appointments when they're really busy. But she took her time and did the full spa pedicure. In the end, I had nicely painted nails butter service was poor and slow. They atmosphere was not suitable for a nail salon in my opinion. read more

It is well ventilated and does not smell of chemicals! You are greeted immediately as you walk in. You are also offered a bottle of water, something that the majority of their competitors do not do. My technician, Nene, took her time to make sure that it was done properly, which I appreciated considering this was my first artificial nail set in many years.
