Great business practice, Qing.

They treated her like a bother because she was gifted her massage through Groupon, and they left partway through the massage without saying a word to go talk to the receptionist. They demanded a tip, saying she NEEDED to tip, and even repeated it when she was confused. I am reviewing this awful establishment in support of her because this behavior is ridiculous.

EDIT: THE ISSUE WAS QUICKLY RESOLVED…read more I just had an awkward and inappropriate experience with a masseuse at Vitality Massage. I always give tips before my massage here and I had the same masseuse once before but didn't have the issue I did today. So I tipped her $5 after I paid for my massage and she wasn't satisfied with that so I gave her another $5 and she still wasn't satisfied. I told her that I just want my massage that I just paid for and that I would give her another $5 after my massage. She agreed and I got my massage. After my massage she practically begged for me to give her the money I said I would give her. So I gave her a total of $15. It's absolutely fucking shitty and not ok to complain to a customer about how much tip they gave you. Be grateful I gave you a tip in the first place.

She even explained some of the obscure areas that were strangely connected and loosened up spots that I didn't even realize were so tense. I've been having a great deal of pain in my lower back that has at times made me have to miss work. As you can imagine that is not a good thing when you are needed to be reliable and you can't come in! My doctor gave me muscle relaxers. The Emergency Room gave me injections. I tried staying in bed off my feet. I tried praying for relief from the muscle spasms. The ONLY respite from the pain has been the deep tissue massage I have received from this wonderful massage location. They offer a variety of massage and the duration. I can't recommend this business highly enough‼ I've gone many times and the experience is always the same. Consistent, kind, powerful massage given at a reasonable cost. A few months after my last review, I decided to give them another chance and things were going well…read moreuntil I made an appointment here to treat myself for my birthday. Secretly my partner went in the day before and paid for it plus left a tip, telling the guy to let me know afterwards it was taken care of. I attended my appointment, the foot reflex good but decided I would not do a massage again. The beds are separated by curtains so you hear everything others are talking and it's not very relaxing. On top of that the lady didn't understand English very well and didn't have good technique. After my appointment finished I paid for it and went to see my partner. He asked how it was and I let him know it was ok. He asked if there was anything more. I said no I had my appointment, paid and left. Then he told me he actually paid for it even left a tip! I immediately contacted the establishment and the owner/manager looked into it and said oh yeah sorry about that and actually laughed. I was furious! I let him know it wasn't funny and would be coming back to get a refund since they double charged me. When we showed up the owner/manager said he could just refund my card so I didn't need to come back. My partner let him know that they ruined the surprise and it was bad business to double charge customers. The owner/manager apologized but didn't really seem to care. Sadly this was the last straw for me. If a business tries to pull one over on a good customer that attends each month and try to get away with double charging then not be sincere or even attempt to rectify an upset customer, well, they do not deserve my business. I frequent reputable places that treat their customers with respect and consideration.
