The classes feel like studio classes (like barre or spin, etc.) that you'd be paying almost $200/month for without any amenities or regular gym equipment. I've been to other gyms in the past that had a lot of hm, lets just call it people watching and social hour. Folks here are definitely here to workout, do their own thing and friendly. Definitely a no judgement zone. I also had some hesitations based on other reviews about not being able to freeze or cancel membership within the first year especially if you have an injury and what not but decided to go for it anyway despite that, more on that later. Some other other gyms didn't seem to be any better based on those reviews so it probably would've been similar issues elsewhere anyway. When you initial sign up, they give you some comp sessions with a trainer (to obviously sell you personal training) but it's something I wanted to try anyway. I thought, why not, let's give it a go for a few months since I thought it would be good to get an extra boost and back into a routine. Well, a few months had passed and then I had some travel plans so I was away from the gym but then came back from my travels with a severe knee injury where I could barely walk. It sucked but I showed up anyway. Not because I couldn't cancel my membership due to the contract terms but because I needed movement for rehab. I was initially hesitant about returning to training because I felt like I wouldn't be training at 100%. And let's be real, the training sessions aren't cheap. After some discussion with physical therapist for a rehab plan, I decided to return to training with Summer and it was honestly one of the best decisions I've made. Summer programed exercises for me to supplement my PT. She has been really awesome to work with, because my program needed a lot of re-working along the way to adapt to my rehab progress. She's also open to feedback and really great with listening to my input on things that I want to work on. While I am still ways away from being 100% recovered from my knee injury, I already feel like it's night and day compared to just a few months ago. So why only 4 stars? Well, only taking one off is quite generous despite some issues with their app, specifically for training and the so-so amenities in the locker room. The app isn't the best and there were some miscommunications with it that led to a lot of frustration but the training manager Matt was really nice and made it right. The other reason for taking off the star was the amenities which they finally changed to something that smells way better. The previous products didn't smell good and it seemed like the shampoo, body wash, and face cleanser seemed like it was all the same soap in the shower. Didn't feel like there is anything different between the stuff in the bottles. It wouldn't even upset me that there was just one multipurpose wash but the same soap in the different bottles is just confusing for me. Like what's the point? Anyway, good riddance with the old stuff. I haven't tried the new stuff yet aside from the lotion that smells heavenly. I haven't been to the other locations to compare but this one is sufficient for my needs.

Before we met, I was dealing with a herniated disc in my lumbar and had gotten to a point where I wasn't enjoying the gym anymore and had largely stopped going. Nick met me where I was at, helped me rebuild confidence in my body, and taught me how to train safely while still making progress and helping me meet my goals. What I've appreciated most is that he understands that everyone has different goals and needs. He was able to blend functional training with the hypertrophy-focused style of training that I enjoy, which helped me get stronger, improve my core strength, build muscle, lose fat, and most importantly, regain my love of training. He's been a huge part of helping me get my life back during a difficult period, and I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable trainer who genuinely cares about his clients' success. It's cleanly, she runs a tight ship on her employees to walk the floor and make sure weights are put away and attachments aren't lying around. I didn't see a machine out of working order, except one of the legs machines, and even then it was fixed promptly. There's a good array of options for whatever your workout is and choices you probably won't see if your standard commercial gym. Here's the truth: I cancelled as a founding member at $60/mo so if that isn't a good enough value to stay, the price for new members is stupid expensive. You're talking close to bay club prices for less than a quarter of the space and amenities. Recovery - there is none. She calls Glow House studio recovery for some odd reason. It's facial derma-planning and spray tanning. No sauna, steam room, massage chairs, nothing traditionally considered "recovery" unless we're redefining words. There's maybe 30 parking spots so if this place ever gets busy, good luck with that although their pricing is likely keeping them from growing and they use the guise of "exclusive" to justify it. But the real problem here is community. This place feels like high school mean girls club and a vanity project for the owner. If you peddle her clothing brand to get a discount code in your online bio and like filming cringy online content, you'd be best friends with the culture here. As another reviewer here said hearing Josh (front end tattoo guy) talking about other members - if you aren't in their "crew" or worship the owners egotistical wish to be a women's only gym, you're on the outside. Acquaintances of mine identity Lux as a girls only gym because it's the place self proclaimed "influencers" go to film content. You'll find tripods out almost every session you go. Imagine taking some of the most annoying online wannabe "influencers" and running a gym with just them as the work force - you get self inflated ego's, workout environments that are more about filming and attention, more posing, less lifting. Everything here feels performative, every interaction. Girls poking out their behinds and effeminate men shaking hips to film cringey online content for a brand they don't own and a company they must feel is their lifetime job of saying "Have a good workout." If your natural next step in life is to try and grow your "online presence" and like being around like minded individuals that care more about what they are showing online and perhaps want to peddle clothing and peptides. - you'll fit right in. When I emailed to cancel I received no response and had to call 2 days later to ask what's going on. The owner said I was cancelled to which I asked "Oh so you just didn't want to respond to my email or communicate confirmation in any way?" I wasn't even going to review this place but what a shit way to do business.

Although I've been going to gym since high school, my eating habits are not always ideal and I've always struggled with weight. At my April 2026 doctor's checkup I weighed the most I've ever been. Yikes! Some extreme lifestyle changes were needed, especially since I'm a dad juggling with a career. As a Yelper, I also need better health to enjoy good food , travel and enjoy life more! We signed up with Gil for 30, 1-hr private workouts. The results have so far been amazing - after 4 months, I lost about 20 pounds and feel better. Clothes feel looser and recent bloodwork showed great reduction in blood sugar. We recently re-signed for another 30 sessions based on excellent results to date. Here's why I recommend Underground Fitness if you are serious about weight loss: 1. Gil helps design a meal plan based on your target weight. Nothing too drastic - he reviews your daily meal and makes suggested changes and additions. In some cases you're adding food (hello egg whites and cottage cheese). 2. You get daily protein, carb, and fat targets that are easy to measure by uploading photos to any free AI agent - see Yelpers are naturally good at this! 3. Love the flexibility - weekly 1-hr sessions work best for me since I have access to my Corporate gym. Gil designs workouts each week via App that will guide you whether you work at home, travel, or have access to another gym. 4. The actual 1-hr workouts with Gil are brutal but you'll feel great afterwards. A mix of barbells, dumbbells, bands, cardio rowing/bikes, medicine balls, TRX, and pushing or pulling really heavy sleds. 5. With private training, you get a great coach and mentor in Gil, and can leverage his expertise to achieve your health goals. The cost is more expensive than a gym membership but if you want results, I believe the investment is well worth it.

It can be discounted to as low as $4 when purchasing the largest block of plays - 60 sessions at $240. Presently, they can accommodate 8 regulation pickleball courts with the gym split into 3 sections. Today was the first day of open pickleball drop-in. Currently, the play schedule for pickleball is only on Sundays from 4 - 7 PM. The turn-out on this first day was huge. There were plenty of staff to help guests pay and register for play. They had plenty of regulation ball used for play and they even had an instructor giving pointers and tips to beginners. This should become a big hit with the local players because it is playable day or night, is air conditioned so it's still comfortable on hot, humid days and the cost is reasonable. If you are in reasonable health and have decent hand-to-eye coordination, come try it out! It's great for seniors because the games are relatively short and you can sit out and rest between matches. You can play as much or as little as you want. It's a lot of fun and one of the few physical games that old and young can play together.
