    Breakfast tamal
    Lauren C.

This place serves coffee, pastries, pizza and numerous breakfast options. I went for breakfast . The menu is straightforward and has all the classics such as chilaquiles, bagels and French toast. I went with the breakfast tamal. It was very delicious. Only complaint is that the tamale wasn't very warm. My egg was as well as the sauce. The sauce had a nice kick to it but wasn't overpowering at all. The inside is cozy and there was a lot of people working inside and grabbing coffee.

A genuinely great spot to relax with equally strong food, service, and drinks. The avocado toast isn't your typical version--it's a standout and absolutely worth ordering. The egg and cheese bagel reminded me how good something can be when the bread is fresh and the ingredients are real. I also tried the chai latte, which was excellent. Overall, they seem to have something for everyone, and everything I had was done right.

We stopped in here 3 times over the course of a 5 day trip, soooo you can say we were loving this little coffee shop. Everywhere we went, we would usually ask someone what they recommend or what their favorite thing on the menu was. Here, it was the orange cardamom pastry. Sold! It was by far my favorite pastry of the entire trip, and there were A LOT of pastries.... It was so so incredible. If you find yourself in Mexico City and then you find yourself near this coffee shop, go. Go and get the orange cardamom pastry and you will thank me later. For coffees I usually got an americano but also tried their lattes and even some sort of Mexican cold brew I think? All delicious and perfect pick-me-ups for long days walking about. They have a few tables inside and outside and our barista was incredible sweet, helpful and patient with our lack of Spanish. Loved having Forte so close to our hotel!

Two lattes and a yummy croissant

Think I just had the best pastry I've had in all of Mexico. Orangy, flaky, perfect croissant. The two lattes were delicious too. Yum.

We came here for breakfast for our first breakfast in Mexico City. We tried the Tascalate+ cold brew, which was interesting. I'd probably stick with regular caffeinated drinks. We also had the avocado toast with huevos. I'm not sure if I'm feeling the kimchee with the toast. I prefer my avocado toast without spicy fermented cabbage. I would still recommend trying this place.

Very cute coffee shop with a small but solid menu. Ambiance- 5/5 - small but cute interior. Looks like they have regulars Service 5/5 - very kind and patient staff who worked with our broken spanish while ordering. Food 4.5/5 - The bagel sandwich was absolutely amazing and such a great price (i think it was 8USD$) and the bagel is the right consistency/texture, scrambled eggs just set allowing a little creamy action to occur; with bacon and sauce to top it all off. The Kougan aman was 5/5; their pan de muertos was light and airy but not dry. They also have acai bowls and fruit bowls which looked really good. Coffee 4/5 - incredibly smooth; the espresso i had (I ordered an Americano) was a light fruitier/brighter than the roasts i am used to. But it was bright and acidic without tanin or a bitter taste.

Food was excellent. Service was very friendly and warm ambience. Definitely a place to go.

Loving a good coffee shop (especially a beautifully designed one), I needed to stop by Forte. My friend recommended their coffee, but said to skip their subpar pastries. So I went on a Friday afternoon to a full Forte. The tables inside and outside were full of people working, studying, talking. My latte was small, but mighty! It was one of the best I've had in CDMX. It cost $50 pesos.

Chocolatin... about 1 sec after it was seton the table

This is literally a hole in the wall, the coffee is good but the pastries are incredible! Give it a shot, don't judge a book by its cover. The Chocoaltin with almonds is the way to go, the chocolate cookie is ok.

Apple fermented pour over and ham and cheese croissant

Oh geezzzzzz this was unbelievable. The barista really knew his business and educated me about what he had without any of that LA pretense that I'm used to. I got an apple fermented pour over that was perfectly done and a ham and cheese croissant that was as big as a sumo wrestler's fist. A perfect little spit to watch the world go by.

The pastries and service were delicious. While they do not have indoor seating, it was very pleasant to sit outside on the sidewalk and people-watch. We tried three different pastries: a plantain pudding pastry, a fruity meringue pastry, and a very unique peanut butter and chapulines cruffin. All were excellent. My only piece of constructive feedback is regarding the payment process. We had to pay for the pastries separately from the coffee, which made the experience less smooth. It would be much more convenient if everything could be paid for on a single check. Overall, it was a wonderful spot!

The service was attentive and friendly--occasionally a little slow, but that's part of the relaxed rhythm of being in Mexico. The outdoor seating is charming, surrounded by greenery and decorated with natural plants, which creates such a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. I especially enjoyed the Betty juice made with beets--it was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The pastry selection feels endless, unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere in Mexico. During our visit, they were offering pan de muerto for Día de los Muertos, with a creative twist: a rich chocolate filling. It was outstanding! Overall, my friends and I had a wonderful experience here--delicious food, a beautiful setting, and a bakery that truly makes you want to come back again and again.
