She is extremely organized and abides by the list of potential senior applicants waiting for an apartment. She has called my mom a few times when her name came up on the list and if she was not able to move at that time, she has called her when a future apartment arises. I can't say enough good things about Joyce and her positive attitude and hard work with trying to get seniors the apartments and amenities that they need.

Joyce Hensley the landlord of Knollwood Apartments got Into my elderly mother face and screamed at my mother a (Black Woman) and told her to stay in her place and to stop calling her reporting maintenance issues. My mother was immediately rushed to the hospital moments after this. My mother suffered from stage III hypertension for two weeks and still faces irregular blood pressure, but it's being managed now. Joyce Hensley felt my mother should not be reporting the Constant flooding that she's experiencing EVERY WEEK nor the heat outages that has been going on since the winter. My mother has practically lived off her OVEN to keep warm at night. I called to get her side of the story but Joyce had her undercover spy and non qualified maintenance man to lie each time that she was out on vacation. Once I asked for her manager number is when she took my call , and threaten to not "give me shit" in her words and that I was not authorized and hung up in my face. My right hand to God! I am my mother legal nurse aid and POA btw, all which is well noted in my mother lease agreement. Joyce Hensley the landlord has paid my illegally under the table to clean Knollwood Apartments , just recently their laundry room and she has even painted without company insurance or liability so this was totally unexpected. Joyce Hensley is being protected by her manger Brenda at Carlisle Residential Properties. When I advised Brenda what happened she denied my claims and basically told me oh well. It wasn't until I struck the nerve to call back and I told her I was going to report her to her manager is when Brenda decided to help, solely just with my mothers maintenance issues. NOTHING is being done about her behavior and disrespect, NOTHING. I beg anyone reading this to report Joyce Hensley, help me call and demand her removal from Knollwood Apartments. The pain she causes family's must stop.

Good lighting is provided in and around the property, especially in common areas. The apartments are spacious with nice appliances. Maintenance requests are promptly addressed. We think the valet trash fee $25 per month & additional $7 trash fee on the conservice bill per month is unreasonable. A total $32 fee for trash removal is ridiculous. Unfortunately, No place is entirely immune to criminal activity. Crime can happen in any location regardless. It is real, often has tragic consequences, and one victim is one too many. There is importance of being aware of the possibility of crime wherever you are.  On Thursday, 6/12/25 at 3:30am my family and I were abruptly awakened by gunshots in the parking lot here at Parkstone. This isolated incident involving a resident did result in a fatality. The apartment managers emailed notifying tenants about the nature of the incident, and they're fully cooperating with the sheriff investigation. Law enforcement has indicated there is no additional threat. However, the email did not mention how Parkstone would be implementing any necessary safety measures going forward prioritizing tenants well being. This incident was very shocking because the neighborhood is appealing. The effects of the incident left us feeling worrisome and a decreased sense of safety. It was quite a bit to process mentally. But we remain hopeful/praying that no other crime will take place while living here. If possible Parkstone property management should consider implementing or enhancing security measures on the property to prevent future incidents. Such as contracting security personnel to patrol the premises at night. This would give tenants reassurance and sense of safety.

I've lived here for almost 2 years. If you're reading this, DO NOT DO IT! I'll be back highlight my…read moreexperience and list pros and cons later. Update: Let's start with the pros! 1.) Free live music 7 days a week thanks to the pool crowd. Why pay for a concert when you've got DJ ThongBoy spinning tracks at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday? 2.) FREE Built-in cardio program: Dodging water bugs, sketchy dogs and random half-naked people in the parking lot keeps the body toned and adrenaline high! Wonderful place to live if you are an adrenaline junkie. 3.)Strangers often left notes on my car telling me I was beautiful, which would be sweet if it wasn't...scary....walking to my car often felt like the opening scene of a First 48 episode. 4.) Last but certainly not least-The maintenance team was always very kind and extremely helpful. Shoutout to whoever is over the hiring process for the maintenance department. Great group of individuals. Super sweet lady (not sure of her name) often helping w grounds work, cleaning the pool area and grills in the morning. She deserves a raise and a vacation. Alright- now for the cons: I don't have the time, emotional bandwidth, or enough characters to capture this in one sitting. So here are just a few lowlights: 1.) Mushrooms. Growing. In. My. Bedroom. I actually love mushrooms; however, I didn't ask for an indoor garden -- and yet, here we are. Maintenance came by and snatched them out the wall. 2.) Used condoms in the grass -My poor niece thought someone had a water balloon fight. 3.) Walls thinner than paper. Unfortunately, I know my neighbors' nightly... routines... in HD surround sound. My master bedroom is on the other side of my neighbors master bedroom. 4.)Water bugs everywhere. I've never seen anything like this before. I am very clean and have never experienced any his. First night I woke up with one ON MY FACE. 5.) Unprofessional leasing agents (with the exception of Mark)Everyone else? Unresponsive, careless, and very useful for sending out empty noise complaints and random discombobulated emails. I received a random email one evening accusing me of having someone named Nabreika in my apartment for too long. I was also accused of having this persons mail delivered to my mailbox. I had no clue who the individual was, as I almost never have guests. Shocked and confused, I went to the office to speak about the accusations in the email, they concluded that there was a mix up and apologized. 6.) The pool = frat party hell. Drunk/high people in thongs year-round blasting music like it's Coachella. If you can not afford concert tickets, you're in luck, this is the place for you! I work from home and had to take Zoom calls in my bathroom just to block out the noise. 7.) Dog policy? My 12-year-old poodle (who had an aggressive form cancer bless her heart) was attacked by a large aggressive pit bull on the property. Leasing office said they couldn't "track the dog down owner down......although I provided them with the building number that the individual lived in. *** I'll be back to add pictures of the lovely mushrooms in my bedroom along with the huge hole in my bedroom wall that had to be cut and eventually closed back( my water heater was leaking into my downstairs neighbors bedroom).

I have dealt with multiple issues involving my AC unit breaking, and each time the repairs have only been temporary fixes rather than permanent solutions. My patio ceiling has significant water damage and is literally falling apart. I submitted a service request for it and was told the building team would address it when they could. That team has since left, and no one ever came to repair it. The panel underneath my microwave is also broken. Months ago, after submitting a maintenance request, I was told someone would come replace it, but no one ever did. One of the most concerning incidents happened after maintenance completed a mandatory fire alarm inspection. My front door was left unlocked and cracked open while I was at work until 5:30 PM. I have a cat, and anyone could have walked into my apartment during that time. Now, once again, I am dealing with another issue. My refrigerator/freezer has stopped working properly. It has been nearly 24 hours since I reported the problem and nothing has happened except for them saying "it's at a freezing temp" I have already had to throw out a significant amount of food due to items melting and spoiling in the freezer. Clearly it's not at a freezing temp if that's happening. I have tried to remain patient and understanding because I know things happen and appliances break. However, there comes a point where the ongoing issues and lack of communication become unacceptable. For the amount residents pay to live here, these should not be recurring problems. I finally made the decision to leave this apartment community because there are simply too many unresolved issues, and it is no longer worth the cost. While the amenities are great and the property itself is beautiful, that alone does not make it worth living here.
