When I leased my apartment I called the leasing office to make sure the location of the apartment I wanted and what I leased was the same. IT WAS NOT. I am located on the ground level which I have to use the elevator to access. I work from home, and need my work computer connected directly to Ethernet port. The morning after move in that was an issue as well. They use community WiFi through Spectrum. Even though my computer was plugged in, it would not let my computer connect to the network. The leasing office opens at 9am so of course I couldn't get anything even started to be fixed until after the time I was supposed to be working. It took about an hour for the situation to be resolved. The doors move constantly when someone enters the hallway or enters/leaves their apartment. I've tried to have maintenance fix it and it just made it harder to close the door. My closet shelving kept falling down. I expected more after paying $500 in application fees for me and my husband. And don't get me started with how hard it was to set up insurance and electricity at an apartment whose address won't pull up correctly in any system. A few days later, more neighbors began to move in and we realized the BIGGEST FLAW of the community. It was not built correctly to withstand such close living. ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG I can hear my upstairs neighbor stomp around his apartment. He works from home as well so it is constant. I can hear him through my work headset and even over clients on the phone. I feel like I live in a fish tank with all the thumping and distorted TV sounds. It happens even during the "quiet hours" (ex 12am,2am, 5am...which the leasing office is not even open to call). I can also hear my next-door neighbors TV and her moving clothes in her closet. I feel like I live in a fishbowl. (&& if you're wondering if I contacted the leasing office I did. I also understand people are moving in. This is now a constant thing. I've even talked to the neighbor who seemed really nice this place is just not built right) Then, 3 weeks later I'm dealing with another WiFi issue. Couldn't contact the leasing office because they were closed. Contacted spectrum only to find out the issue could no be solved remotely (their typical method) and that a technician needed to come to my unit. This could take up to 24/48hrs to happen. There goes my work day!!!!!! I even spoke to a supervisor... the issue is assumed to be a select issue and not community wide. Finally get in contact with the leasing office and then dispatch from spectrum calls to tell me that the office needs to set up the appointment for the technician to come out since they manage the WiFi for the complex. I call the leasing office back and they say they don't set up appointments & the rep must have been misinformed. So now I'm in this fishbowl and can't even work to keep me occupied. All I can focus on is the thumping above me and not getting paid. If you haven't gotten the point of this review here it is spelled out for you clearly....DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Numerous residents have been displaced to other units, construction noise is disruptive, windows are boarded up, constant dust and debris, random people walking around. Worse off, I started noticing money was going missing from my wallet so I set up a webcam and caught the construction company's grounds keeper breaking and entering to steal my money. Caught in 4k. This isn't luxury living -- it's a case study in management failure. What You Actually Get: A glorified dog park wrapped in a poorly maintained building, managed by people who treat residents like an afterthought -- if they're even around at all. Leasing Office? Nonexistent. The leasing office is closed more than it's open. Need a guest parking pass? Be prepared to either stalk the property for staff or cough up $64 a day to park in your own garage. And if you do catch the leasing agent (especially the white female agent)? Expect gossip, oversharing of residents' personal business, and blatant admission that they care more about their "other property" down the street. Management is M.I.A. -- completely detached from the day-to-day issues here. Residents are left to fend for themselves. Parking = Full-Blown Nightmare * Resident garage gates are temperamental at best -- stuck open one minute, refusing to open the next. * Guest parking is straight robbery at $64 per day. * Event nights? Coordinating move in, securing packages (and there are a ton), sending food delivery up, and providing email notices about local events.... They're just all around a huge help. One concierge rep that stands out for me is Christina. She's organized and efficient and has an awesome personality. Security, Arion, is awesome as well. He's so friendly and courteous! Leasing staff are all super nice. They've recently had some changes with their phone system so if you're trying to lease here and are getting frustrated with contacting via email, please give them a break. They're equally as frustrated but when you connect with them they will give you a great experience. The amenities are very glamorous. HUGE pool and pool deck which does get very busy in the summer. There are a ton of non-residents but everyone is really friendly so I haven't been bothered by the non-residents hanging around. Great gym, lots of equipment and space so crowding is rare. Towards the end of 2023 The Apartment Life team put on some awesome resident parties. I made some great friends and the turn out is always really great. There is a lot of thoughtfulness that goes into each event and those details really shine. Neighbors are very quiet and I hardly ever cross paths with anyone in the hallways. Elevators always work unless it's a moving day in which everyone should pay attention to the concierge notifications for their local elevator reservation times. There are a fair amount of homeless that wander out on the boulevard but they've never bothered me... I also have a bigger dog so that could be why. All in all I've 100% decided to renew my lease because I cannot imagine having a better experience anywhere else. I moved here from Dallas never stepping foot in NC and this community was the best choice considering the close walking proximity to work, bars, restaurants, and the light rail literally attached to the leasing office makes for easy commute to NoDa and Southend.
