Plenty of collectibles, furniture, books, toys and art to be found but also lots of the things I like to look at like vintage cast iron, Pyrex and Ball jars. In fact I took home three very old aqua Ball jars with their original nickel lids for under $20 total. These were larger and cheaper than the similar jars I saw at the other antique store in this area. Side note: cash or check works best here. I only had a credit card, which they accepted, but they changed the discount on my items to 20% off to reflect the fee they had to pay for my charge.

My wife has a keen eye for antiques and knows quality stuff when she sees it. This was her third visit here and she , too, was excited to be back again. We bought this awesome desk and some old farm tools. The prices are realistic. Even if you don't like shopping, go check these folks out! You won't be disappointed.

Mostly fast food stuff like Subway and Popeyes. But they're not bad. I have definitely noticed that since I was a child 20 years ago the price of items at the exchange has really increased from being a super good deal to fairly lower than Walmart or maybe even more expensive than Walmart so it's kind of a letdown but it's not terrible and they have all right quality. I'll go back for sure. Often times including this location the staff are very friendly and the facility is clean you definitely don't have to worry about getting shot in the parking lot.

With parking plentiful and short walking distance from all points downtown -- bars, restaurants, and all, you can come to Artists Barrel for various odds and ends-type of purchases. In my visit to the Artists Barrel, I bought Kentucky hats for my Dad and Stepmother, a Kentucky hanging ornament and a bourbon scented candle for my Mom, and a pair of bourbon boxers for my Aunt. It was quite a joyous morning considering I was hoping to do all of my souvenir shopping at one spot and did so at Artists Barrel successfully. Overall, Artists Barrel had everything for what I was seeking during my trip to Bardstown.

Yeah, I know that's not what it looks like from the outside, but really...it's ok to pull up and go in. Staff are friendly! They carry classroom supplies (including posters, maps, and educational materials, as well as classroom decorations: bulletin borders, decorative paper, and much more) that lots of folks would recognize on sight. Stock is well beyond that part of the aisle Staples dedicates to similar products. They also stock classroom-sized supplies (low count crayon multipacks and the like), of course. Things like kits to teach counting, time - telling, currency, etc., particularly where physical items are useful for lesson explanation abound. Planners, organization tools / items, and other 'adulting for educators' items (some of which are easily re-purposed for others in helping professions) are available. I've been a periodic visitor since about 1997 - back when I regularly purchased classroom decoration type-stuff. These days I only visit to find unique papergoods or when I need mass quantities of items one would find in a classroom. Prices are fine: not discount, but not exceptionally high, even for the area and especially when compared to limited locally available chains like Staples.
