Welllll so have to say Venturing into a custom jeweler is very intimidating. years ago I saw a…read morestone in the window-could it be an Alexandrite ?I ventured in and yes it was - these are incredibly rare and happen to be my birthstone. Still intimidated I venture maybe once , twice a year for I think 4 years to see if they still have them. They do and I did try some designs with them. Yet not feeling it. Fast forward to this year, a Wonderful Valentine's Day . We purchased the stones. They are very sentimental to me as I chose to use my wedding ring to create a "mothers ring" Using these stones as they are mine and my daughter birthstone. We added my other daughter's birthstone which-is a peridot. So have to give the store feedback- this purchase was so important to me- yet the process was very disappointing- the stones were put into two plastic bags and then put into a small green bag. The receipt was folded up and put into that bag . Really? We did discuss how to add the stones to my ring and she brought out a big catalog of jewelry supplies- not custom or sentimental about how important it is to create a dream ring that killed the deal for them to design a ring for me- However I am very appreciative that they helped me authenticate family stones that I had . That was very nice of them.

The sweet lady working there was super friendly, and when she asked if any of my purchases were gifts I was surprised when she offered to gift wrap them! My kids had a good time checking out all the neat things too, plus they have a bathroom which was very convenient for my 5 year old to use. I ended up buying a new sling bag/purse which seems very high quality, themed socks for my husband, a cute wine bottle topper that "chirps" when you pour the wine, and a "dammit doll" which I had actually been looking for one for a very long time and was super excited to finally find one! So I place the order, noted in the order comments to leave it off the back, but when I receive my order, both sides are finished with acrylic. I email Jana, copying our original conversation and point out the mistake and that their order system doesn't even populate the order comments onto any of their docs -- not the invoice, order confirmation, etc. She tells me I should have noticed that before the order showed up and emailed them about it. No apology. No acknowledgement of error. No offer to make it right. In other words, if you have a special request, you need to tell them three or more times along with reminding them with every part of their multi step invoicing process. I'll be looking at Trotec Materials, Johnson's Plastics and others for my laser materials now.
