The rest of the work was sloppy, running piped ON the laundry room walls, kitching piping on the outside of the house. They were sloppy in cutting access holes in the walls and while they had indicated they would fix all that, they did not . They left drywall dust and insulation, tracking it through the house. Dirty hand prints on walls, doors and ceiling and cigarette butts everywhere outside, even after being asked to not drop them. I was pressured for final payment before it was all finished, probably why they didnt finish after payment. I would NOT recommend them under any circumstances.

James was sent and my girlfriend and I found him to be very friendly and knowledgeable. Trying to track down the problem (a foul sewer odor) when the washing machine was used was a process of elimination. There was a washing machine drain installation improperly done years ago that James saw and the thought was that the sewer gas was backing into the utility room particularly after doing a good number of loads of laundry. James corrected the problem and brought it up to code. His work was extremely neat and precise. Sadly for us the problem continued and James spent a good amount of time trying to snake the line and drop a video camera down. The drain line wasn't freeing up and the camera showed that there was still waste in the line which should have passed with the snaking. The thought was the perhaps the line broke somewhere down the run and we decided to take a few days to explore the options. It turned out the sanitary line in the complex started overflowing and what the property manger claimed was my girlfriend's problem was really the landlord's problem. I brought this to the attention of Jennifer from Jones and Sons, even though James had invested his time and materials on the job Jennifer was so pleasant and understanding. She asked for me to be patient and she would call me back the next day. James called me the next day and he was as nice as can be. Mind you his business card has him listed as "Uncle James" and lol that what I started calling him from the beginning. His words to me were " I want you to be happy, what can I do to make you happy? " We spoke and he really listened and we came to a very fair resolution. In reality James is like your uncle, your favorite uncle! Jennifer and James are the nicest people! I highly recommend Jones & Sons for who they are as people.

I called Carr to come snake the issue (I used one other time) and they came on 1/6/26 to do. I was flying home so not at the house but my neighbor was. When I got home there was a mess from the back up but all seemed to be working except when I went to use my kitchen sink. The water underneath the sink was shut off and low and behold somehow the garabage disposal connection was blown off. So I called Carr back and they said the plumber wasn't underneath the sink. I sent pictures which clearly showed something happed and how did the water get turned off. They sent another plumber out the next day to look at the sink. I had to purchase a new garbage disposal (mine 1 year old), then they said my water line was clogged. So had to purchase a new facuet and they came back the following day. That plumber, Dave, was excellent. But now, I'm in deep. Between the snake, installation, purchases of the products I'm out around $1250. To fix all of this took 3 days. Three weeks later, 2/3/26, my shower drain starts backing up with water. I called Carr to inform them of this and obviously something wasn't snaked all the way. I asked them to come out and fix it correctly. The receptionist pulled up my account and said there was nothing in the notes on way it was clogged which was "weird" so she contacted the service manager, Walt Smith, and he came back to me and said that "I need to find a new Plumber." I was shocked. I give businesses every opportunity to do the right thing before I ever would write a negative review. This company just doesn't do it right. When I asked others about this, they said when this has happened to them, their plumbers, have come back out (yes a month later or so), snaked it again, all at no charge. This is the right way to do business. This will be cross-posted on other sites. It has been posted in my neighborhood (over 2000 residents) which has put them on a no contact to use for plumbing. I was referred to another plumbing company that came out two hours later on the day I called, scoped the drains so I have camera footage, and snaked the shower drain. It's all fixed. Yes, I had to pay for the new plumber but my problem is solved. And I have an excellent, reliable, and honest new plumbing company. I would never recommend nor use CARR plumbing for anything again.
