Cross section of individual coconut cream pie, very tasty!
Casey S.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while now, based on word of mouth. In order for the 2 of us to get maximum exposure to Fork It's quality, ordered 1 12" Cowboy with BBQ sauce on the side; 1 12" Clucking Bacon Ranch, 1 chocolate cream pie, 1 coconut cream pie and a single order of onion rings. My husband called in the order and I advised him to get there early as things have a tendency to sell out. 15 minutes later he arrived in the small strip mall off Don & Hammer, happy to find a disabled spot almost right in front. The area itself is a bit sketchy but okay during the abbreviated hours, mostly 11AM-4PM.. Closed Saturdays and most Sundays. The two big bags of wonderful smelling food cost $70, and I will describe and show photos of just what you will receive. A special note for the owner's son, Big D. The fact you noticed my guy was both elderly and disabled and offering help with the bags was beyond and above. He doesn't mention it but he's still a bit unsteady after hip surgery. My food rating is 4.5 but genuine kindness bumps it to a full 5! We started in splitting the chicken sandwich. I loved the fresh, lightly toasted bread and the fact this small business father and son team source locally. The roll was dressed with shredded lettuce and a couple ripe tomato slices. Two meaty slices of bacon added to the enjoyment, but what really knocked me out and made this such a fine value, 2 huge, (about the size of your palm and fingers), slices of breast with another half thrown in for good measure. The chicken benefitted from marinating then grilling just right. Missing in action? Any and all ranch dressing-I even looked for to-go containers but none to be found. Comparing notes with DH he said his bread was dripping with sauce to the point of being soggy...I guessed when the sandwich was upright on the drive home everything wet rushed to one side! Stuff happens. The size of these sandwiches is huge but we moved on to the Cowboy for dinner. Cut in two, I took the smaller side, closer to 5". I've deconstructed down to the point of separating out onions, mushroom and tri tip. We opted for Provolone for more of a cheesesteak vibe. Generous slabs of mild cheese helped hold the whole thing together. DH grilled tri tip and ribs for the Stockton Ports game for several years and knew what to look for. The consensus, fair amount of meat, cooked medium well, tender with good flavor. I specified BBQ sauce on the side, which was no problem. That way I could deconstruct my half Cowboy, could be a nurse thing! DH thought too many onions while I thought the ratio to meat was spot on. Sadly the mushrooms turned out to be 3/4ths of one button mushroom thinly sliced for my share. Both grilled onions and mushrooms add additional moisture and flavor. Adding the sauce, a molasses tomato blend with a small peppery kick made for a very enjoyable meal. The onion rings were about 1/2" thick and plentiful. Crispy on the outside while still being moist on the inside with sweet onion. The coconut pie was creamy with toasted coconut sprinkled over the whipped topping. The crust was of interest, buttery cookie instead of graham cracker or standard pie crust. Our chocolate cream pie was a chocolate lover's dream. A light mousse touch to the filling with heavier ganache brownie crust. We're still working on that one. So 4 meals, 2 happy campers and even our dogs give 4 paws up.

Wings, fries, tri tip sandwich

The service here is amazing! We stopped in based on their rave Yelp reviews, and boy did it live up to the hype! The owner, Isaac/Ike, was so pleasant and even let us taste his homemade peach strawberry lemonade before ordering. You can tell he has so much fun operating his business and interacting with his customers. A couple regulars came in, and Ike literally rattled off their usual order without missing a beat. The inside of the restaurant is setup grab-and-go style. They make homemade pies that change daily. We ordered 10 wings (half buffalo mild and half buffalo hot), fries, Ike's Classic 6-inch sandwich, and key lime pie. Everything was incredibly delicious. They earned every bit of these five stars from me and every other reviewer!

After multiple visits I can say the food is ALWAYS good. I'm working my way through the menu but it's going to take awhile. The quality is consistent and the portions are generous. Don't miss out.

1st time stopping in and OMG!!!! The service was great! When you walk in the door the smell of the Tri tip makes your mouth water! I had 'The Real Deal' ( Tri tip, grilled onions and cheese of choice), the garlic fries with Parmesan cheese and two desserts lol! The 'Brown Sugar Apple Cinnamon Cheesecake' and the 'Key Lime pie'! Once a month, they have pastrami sandwiches! Everything was delicious, will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Classic Ike steak Sandwich

Their classic Ike steak sandwich is amazing as are the fried zucchini, french fries and onion rings. Great place for fresh food.

5/5! Fork it is the definition of "hole in the wall" as this place is just a window and a cash register on the inside. To-go only. Man was this place so good! The tri tip sandwich with bacon and cheese (Big D) was one of the best tri tip sandwiches I've had in a long time. The tri tip was tender and very juicy as they marinate it for 48 hours! The sandwich and an order (big to-go box) of fries was around $16. Great price for todays standards and for as good as a sandwich it was! Can't wait to go back! If I lived closer I'd definitely be a regular.

Before I go into full detail on this review, I personally wanted to give mad props and a shoutout…read moreto the young male employee that worked effortlessly all by himself on a busy Saturday afternoon. This takes me "Dream Ice Cream Parlor", one of the few family-owned ice cream parlors in the Stockton area. Located in a strip mall and on the corner of West Ln/E. March Ln, this place has been serving up its delicious varieties of traditional and unique ice creams and desserts dating back to early-2017. I came here with my lady during the afternoon on Saturday 8/22/2026 at 3:00pm. Parking was not difficult as it is shared with many other businesses. Upon arrival, it was quite busy as there was at least a dozen customers ahead of us still waiting to order. During our wait, we observed the menu and noticed they offer more than just your standard ice cream (in a cup or cone). This place offers "Dream Buns" which is ice cream between a donut. Another exclusive item is their "Puffles" which is ice cream in a cup with an added bubble waffle. In addition to this, they also carry milkshakes as well as your choice of either churro or brownie sundaes. Jump forward 27 minutes later and it was finally our time to order. Considering there was only one employee running the show, I will not knock any points (or stars as Yelp goes) off this review. As for what we ordered, my lady went with a traditional scoop of strawberry ice cream complete with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. I opted for an old-fashioned sugar cone of their chocolate flavor. However, since the ice cream was not chilled at a certain temperature, the employee was gracious enough to give me more + put it in a cup. Think of it as a 2 for 1 deal while I only paid for the price of a single scoop. Despite the long wait time, this place was well worth it. The overall taste, consistency, and flavor of the ice cream was top notch and delicious. The interior layout was fairly spacious but lacking in seating as there was only so many chairs if you choose on enjoying your dessert inside. Keep in mind that they are closed on Tuesday/Wednesday. But they are open from 2-10pm Thursday through Monday. With that said and done, I am giving "Dream Ice Cream Parlor" in Stockton a perfect five out of five stars.

*PSA*: DO NOT MISS OUT ON NIKA'S MAD SWEETS!…read more Life is short, eat dessert first! And that was exactly what I intended to do when I was blessed with the fact that Nika's IG popped up on my FYP and had me drooling at the sight of all of her delicious creations. If you've heard about the quaint local Stockton Whimsy Market, you would know that Nika and her small business that consists of her adorable family, have a booth regularly at this market. I set out to go to the next one lined up and when I arrived I made a beeline for her booth. You know something lives up to it's hype if the lines are long! To be honest, waiting in line added to the anticipation of trying out the lineup she had that evening. Her husband was the one taking orders and not only was he kind but he made great small talk. It was a nice added personal touch. I'm all about community and getting to know people so when people take the time to greet you and chat, it goes a long way. I went home with their Best Selling Award Winning Ube White Chocolate Blondie. I've been hooked ever since. Did you know that she also makes custom cakes? No? Well now you do! Nika is an absolute sweetheart! I was so nervous to reach out to her on IG for my daughter's birthday cake. I had spoken to her on IG here and there before asking and was pleasantly surprised that she's the type of small business to engage with her followers. It made it a lot easier for me to ask if she would do me the honor of making my daughters 1st professionally made themed birthday cake for her 3rd birthday. Of course she agreed and she was so wonderful during the whole process of listening to what I had envisioned for the design, whilst also giving me great ideas and even had her friend also make a beautiful cake topper for it. I went for a classic chocolate cake with a swiss meringue butter cream and it was a hit at my daughter's party! Ever since then I've actively been trying out new sweets any chance I get and have fallen in love with so many more. After the Ube White Chocolate Blondie, my next favorite would have to be her Sweet Corn Mochi! She has such a variety of desserts that you'll never get tired of what she has to offer and believe me when I say, you'll continue to consistently come back for your favorites and new creations she comes up with! I'm floored that I'm the first one to review her small business, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's not worth trying. TRUST when I say RUN do not WALK at the opportunity to grab some delicious desserts and sweets. I promise just browsing through her IG alone will seal the deal for you! Her IG handle is: @nikasmadsweets! You can't buy happiness, but you can buy desserts and that's kind of the same thing! I'm the first to review so don't come for me that this was "too long!" I'm genuinely a huge fan and supporter of this small business! .

Tosti-Locos and fruit cups with chammoy and Tajín are also in the menu. Drinks: La Michoacana has the option of aguas frescas, fresh fruit juices, and other prepared drinks. Cleanness: La Michoacana is one of the most clean food places I have ever encounter. It smells clean as soon as you step in the door and the staff is always keeping and maintaining the place neat. Another plus of this place is the food and fruits display, it is a piece or art to see the fresh fruit in the fridges. Staff: They make you feel like you're at home. They help you out in case you have questions and they are always ready to provide suggestions. Ambiance: there is not enough room to seat inside although they also have the option to enjoy your food outside. The music is for sure a plus in this place, they have a vast music selection which will make you dance a little as you are ordering and waiting for your food. I'm so happy because I got my cheesecake today and it's absolutely freakin amazing. It's everything…read moreI was hoping for and more. I used to get my cheesecake fix from a restaurant in Woodbridge that made it homemade and it was very good, until the restaurant was sold and the new owners aren't continuing to sell it. Well I shouldn't say they aren't selling cheesecake because I'm not sure if they are or not, but I was told the homemade cheesecake will not be available from now on there. So I've been looking high and low, from city to city and going as far as Modesto to find a replacement. I wasn't satisfied still so as I visit new areas one of the 1st things I always check on 1st is if there is a local place that has the "best" cheesecake. I've come across some decent cheesecake but I still hadn't found one as good as my favorite cheesecake in Woodbridge. That is until I came across Jennifer. I was searching on Yelp once again and came across her Yelp page once again and thought it was time to take the plunge and contact Jennifer to order one of her cheesecakes. I hadn't called her yet because there wasn't a reason for me ordering an entire cheesecake and felt like it's a bit much to order myself an entire cheesecake. But after so many failed attempts I felt like it was time, after all maybe I can freeze it for future cravings. I let her know I love crust and was requesting a thicker one. She ended up asking me if I wanted my cheesecake to have a crust on top so that way I'd have crust on the top and bottom. I told her it sounded good and I really appreciated the fact that she took into consideration what I told her I liked. So today I got my cheesecake and I couldn't be any happier. It's creamy just like I prefer and there's definitely a lot of good crust. I'm so happy to have found Jennifer and look forward to getting more from her in the future. From what I saw on Yelp she makes really good treats. If you're looking for great cheesecake or other desserts you really don't need to look any further, I'm positive that you'll be more then happy with what you order from Jennifer. She's also very friendly and of course accommodating obviously. That's better then any bakery I've ever went to. There's nothing better then getting the exact dessert that you've been craving. Happy cheesecake eating to me. Bon Appétit
