I was not given a quote. To be fair, I forgot to ask, but I went in expecting to pay $140, and instead it was $275. She told me that the color I wanted was 2 coats, but I didn't know if normal was 1 or 3, so I didn't know it was going to be twice as much. That seems like a pretty normal thing to say in the same sentence. It looks great though, so that part is fine. Also, I was a little bit upset that they did not coat a part I specifically said to coat. The turn-around is already two weeks, and I didn't want to wait again for them to fix it, so I just took it. It's a part that is normally not coated, but I know it's fine in this case (It's a bike frame and the uncoated part is the dropouts). The nice lady at the counter told me it's not normally coated, and I specifically said I wanted it coated, and I knew it would be fine. Lo and behold, uncoated. She told me that the concern was that the coat is 2 mils thick, but I think the rust is going to be thicker, if I don't protect it somehow. read more

I just picked up my wheels from Forever Powder Coating and I couldn't ask for a better result. The price to do the job was what I expected and while the turn around was a couple of weeks, it is understandable. My Dad always told me "Anything worth having is worth waiting for" and those words couldn't ring any more truer.......the job was perfect. If you want a more of a custom color DO NOT BRING IT HERE. they may be good at the basics but that is about it. Heather at the front desk is the rudest receptionist I have ever met, She will argue a point then contradict herself and blame you for their mistakes. She says they cannot powdercoat based off what a picture looks like must go by what the sample swatch shows, however Jeff the guy who does the work says you can't trust the swatch, so basically just take a shot in the dark and hope for the best color. The resulting color of illusion Malbec was way off from every other application show on the web. The supplier of the powder, Prismatic Powders, saw the resulting picture and said that there was an error in the application. Forever claims its correct so they're solution... put it back in the oven till the rim is so dark it may as well be black. Take your money to a more reputable place. read more
