I can't imagine any circumstance where Forever Love Bridal deserves a one star rating so I'm hoping Yelp users will ignore that review; there HAS to be more to that story that hasn't been told. Forever Love Bridal is full of personality and charm and phenomenal customer service. They carry bridal wear and formal attire for special occasions such as proms. Their selection has something for everyone... from traditional to form-fitting to eclectic... you'll find it here. Aside from the selection, what I love most about this boutique is the customer service, how they LISTEN to their customers, and how much they really care about helping their customers find THE perfect dress... you know the one... the one that brings the ear-to-ear smile and, sometimes, the tears. Adding to my pleasant experience was the fact that they didn't smother me from the time I walked into the store and were never pushy salespeople. I truly hate going shopping, especially for something so personal, and I've got someone breathing down my neck the whole time. You won't get that here. They are there when you need them but they give you space and peace to browse and talk with those you came in with... or to FaceTime someone to get their input. After a less than pampering treatment at David's Bridal, my sister called Kitty in an emergency situation. She didn't want that to be my wedding dress shopping experience. We got booked for later that day at Forever Love. Score! When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. Kitty really listened to what I wanted the entire time. I chose a few dresses I liked and she helped me get in and out of them. When I wasn't feeling any were the dress, though they were gorgeous, she started pulling dresses for me to try based on my feedback. Each dress got closer but still none had that special something. I thought I was done trying dresses there but Kitty said, just one more. I had probably tried on 10+ dresses already but I figured, why not? I love these girls! After having not one but two completely disastrous visits to David's Bridal I had pretty much given up on finding a dress in general- let alone my dream dress. After being shown several options for my size, there it was- THE dress. Under budget and better than I ever could imagine. I broke up my payments over a few weeks and set up my alteration appointment (sidenote, seamstress is an absolute joy to work with and is a wizard- no lie). Five months before my wedding the dress is done, fitted, and hanging in my best friends closet, waiting for my wedding. Love love love everything about this place. I picked out a dress that was probably two sizes too big for me but I liked it, I was definitely excited about it because I was told that they could work their magic and make this dress fit me appropriately. They completely had to alter the dress because it was not made for a petite person like myself. I paid almost triple the amount to have it altered then I did for the dress itself. I would definitely recommend purchasing a dress that needs minimal alterations rather than completely taking a dress a couple sizes down to only feel that it's not the same exact dress that you thought it would turn out to be. They had to completely move the lace straps over because the bust size was way too big for me and now it's sticking in my armpit and completely uncomfortable. Also, I asked for a quote for the alterations and I was told $60-$120, only to find out that it will be $275. While trying it on for the last check after the alterations, I had made comments about the bust size and what am I supposed to do about the huge gap that it left me with and I quote "Well you don't have any boobs that's why". I did not want my toes to show because I didn't feel that I would be wearing any shoes and that the dress would cover my feet and now I can look down and see my feet. I will not be wearing this dress, I actually bought another one and now this one will just sit in my closet and never be worn because I cannot return it. Had I known that I would be paying more to have a dress altered rather than the dress itself, I would've invested more money into the dress with minimal alterations. And I feel that that's some thing that should be said while somebody that never really wears dresses or dresses up for that matter should know! I'm pretty sure that they could tell I was unhappy and not one of them tried to fix it and I wasn't trying to be upset being that I only have a week left to get married! read more
