I was referred here to get my wedding dress by a friend who told me she had a great experience with Casey, so I was expecting the same. I should have requested her same stylist, but I didn't think it would matter too much. However, the person I was set up with unfortunately ruined my experience. When i arrived to my 3:30 appointment and checked in, i was told "oh we didn't think you were coming." I never called to cancel and I wasn't late, so i don't know why they would think that. We were directed to a couch to hang out until she finished helping another customer. At about 4pm, she came over to start my appointment, didn't introduce herself, and seemed really rushed. She grabbed some dresses and after each one I would tell her what I did and didn't like and she scoffed a few times, rolled her eyes and even told me I was a pain in her ass AND told me i had a "pancake ass" in one of the dresses. After 4 dresses, she started to say i was getting "white brain"... which was coincidentally at about 4:50 a few minutes before when my 1hr 30 minute appointment would have ended if we started on time.... So we ended the appointment, which was when i finally found out her name was Michele. I left feeling ugly and dismissed and had so much anxiety about continuing to shop for my wedding dress. However, the next day i went to La Boutique and bought the first dress i tried on. She listened to what I wanted and was so so kind and attentive. read more

My daughter and I went here to look for a dress not expecting much as we had looked in Raleigh where she lives which is a lovely, high end city with no success. But her dad and I live here and so when she came down for a visit we decided to go on a whim and are SO we glad we did. Casey is a gem who just pulled the best dresses after listening to what my daughter wanted and we found her dress and had the tears moment! Her dress is so unique and beautiful! I'd give this place a zero if I could! My sister went here and it was a complete nightmare from the beginning. From the get-go our stylist tried to pressure my sister to pick the dress SHE (the stylist) liked. She waited a long time to bring any dresses my sister was remotely interested in. My sister knew exactly what she wanted and the stylist was not helpful in the least. The stylist also promised my sister a bunch of alterations to her dress to make it what she wanted - many of which were not true. The alterations lady did her best but they promised things that turned out to be impossible. They messed it up so bad they offered to let my sister pick a new dress - but it was too close to the wedding to get anything else altered in time. They refused to give her any money back even though they totally ruined her dress. The owner refused to budge. They also made her sign a form to take the dress saying she was happy with the alterations. This place is a total screw up. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this place. read more

This place was soooooo good to me!!! I was recommended to go here by my mother in law to go and "at least just look" Do not judge the store by its outside appearance! I was a little skeptical when we pulled up but left super happy. I feel bad because I can't remember the girl's name but she was heaven sent. She helped me find the styles and understood my budget. LADIES! I found the exact dress I wanted. I wanted lace up due to my rollercoaster weight. I'm 6ft so I wanted length in the torso so that it won't be a maternity dress(tall girls get it). The only downer was the straps were way too thin. So my wonderful assistant threw in extra material!!! Oh. Did my mention my dress was on the sales rack for super cheap!!! Best luck ever!!!! At no time did staff make me feel obligated to buy any extras. I never felt pressured and they made their sale. I recommend these ladies to everyone! Oh! Debbie had pulled out a few dresses that she thought I would like before I even walked in the door, they were all gorgeous but believe it or not the first one I tried on was MY dress! Debbie made me feel so comfortable and welcome in the store. Fast forward a couple months later, my dress has arrived and is ready for alterations. As soon as I saw the building I had a good feeling. It's in an older plaza but I always say you find gems 90% of the time where people usually overlook. I went to probably 15 stores before I went to Aurora. I was in Melbourne for work had time between appointments googled bridal stores and Aurora popped up with great ratings on google. My first trip there was mid day no one was in there and the sales girl was so friendly and helpful which was great because I was alone. They have a great selection and a great sale section too. The prices on dresses are worth the drive alone ( i live in Orlando). If you purchase a dress over $500 you get a free veil up to $200, a free pair of shoes up to $50, they will keep and steam your dress for free too. There are other perks but those were the ones I took advantage of. So back to my experience. The third dress I tried on I fell in love. I had tried on over 50 dresses and this one was just what I was looking for. I also found the dress I had considered my top contender at this store and it was $100 cheaper then A Lilys Bridal in Orlando. I left that day knowing I needed to bring my mom back. The lady wrote down all the information so I could find a pic online. I came back and ordered it but decided to pay a $50 upcharge to have a corset back instead of zipper. The dress came in early but the designer removed the back detail when they put corset in. The manager kept apologizing and said she personally would call design house and get it fixed asap. A few weeks late I came in at it was just the way I wanted it. I did get my dress altered a little which did cost extra but she did a great job. I found shoes I loved some where else so the lady gave me a catalog and I ordered black strapped heals that I actually love and wear out dancing and only had to pay $3 shipping because they were under $50. I did have to make a lot of trips to the store for fittings and all but it was worth the 70 min drive. I guess I should sum it up. After numerous stores in Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee and in between Aurora has some of the most beautiful dresses especially for the price. Id recommend this for anyone who does not want the cheap Davids Bridal dresses but does not want to spend $5000 for a Pricella of Boston. I saw a cute dress for only $300 at Aurora. Most dresses that I liked were between $700- $1400. They also have great bridesmaids and prom dresses. Just make the drive if you live any where with in 2 hours you wont regret it. read more

My daughter got married yesterday 10-5-14, no thanks to Aroura not one if the dresses for wedding party fit,wedding giwn didnt even have hooks for the train although they hit me with a two hundered dollors for hooks. The mother of bride had to run around buyig all new dresses for girls in wedding because they said they didnt have time to alter because they miss placed order and they sized the girls and not one was close to fit.Now i sit here with all dresses that they sold me wouldnt take them back and the new ones we had to buy. I had such a great experience here today. Jamie and the staff were wonderful, right from the first greeting all the way through the appointment. They were friendly, supportive and very encouraging. They had a great selection of plus size dresses and made me feel comfortable and beautiful trying them on. I've heard some horror stories from other plus size brides but I have to say I couldn't have had a better time. Aurora Bridal does have a good selection of dresses but customer service and especially alteration department is NOT GOOD. My wedding was early November, I went in August for my 1st alteration and again in September. I called 3 weeks before my wedding wanting to pick up my dress and try it on one last time to make sure so it wasn't last minute. I was told they haven't got to it and they would call. I called again 2 weeks before same answer, and again a week before. They had me come in 2 days before my wedding! The girls at the front were not friendly, I got the dress on and just as I feared the helm was off. Noticeably very crooked, I mentioned it and the lady kept trying to twist my dress to make it look like it wasn't incorrect. I told her I have it on how I want it and that the bottom is off. I also mentioned how my belt was not done (I wanted it attached to the dress so I didn't have to have a bow) the lady who does the alteration came out pissed said she didn't have time to do the belt. This was something discussed 4 months ago and you don't have time? She looked at my dress and finally agreed it was wrong. I stated how was I suppose to get my belt done elsewhere when she was going to have my dress. She yelled out to another girl pin the dang thing to the dress and stormed off to the back. I didn't get my dress until the day before my wedding (way to close for comfort) and of course the belt was done terribly. It was attached with buttons that kept popping off. Looked Terrible and they could not care less..... I do not recommend altering any dress at this store. Brides pay way to much money on their dream dress to deal with this. If you want to save a lot of stress and to actually have thing done right I would steer clear and look elsewhere. Again, dress selection was good but customer service and alteration absolutely terrible. read more
