Some of the really big ones…read more- that were kind of surprising when we had the report reviewed by another agency was 1. the report noted there were foundation cracks, which was not the case. The entire outside of the home was lined with mortar that was done for aesthetic reasons. Over time the mortar had crack, but this is not the foundation, and there were no indications of foundation cracks. 2. The most surprising was where the report identified "gaps" in the brick mortar they said needed to be sealed - its a standard practice for brick layers to leave a gap for water drainage, which is why they are all around the house in the brickwork, but only at the bottom (e.g. weep holes) 3. Noted the two holes in the cellar room should be closed, but its a cool cellar ventilation design - the two holes are ventilation for air in the cold cellar during the summer and winter months - those are by architectural design. Even little things like there was no carbon monoxide detector - the fire alarm is a double alarm/monoxide detector and has a direct connection. Anyways, some of this is standard building practice and shocking the inspector didnt know what weep holes were, among other things. So overall not pleased with this work.

When I removed it there were 4" size mushrooms on the structure. Ground level on two bricks above the foundation. As the result bricks were partially destroyed by moisture. Wood burning fireplace with insert without liner. This is prohibited to use by code. But it also was leaking CO2 to basement when we attempted to use it. Huge hole hidden under the hermetic in the shower wall which finally resulted in the insurance claim. Finally a family of mice living in the house which took a lot of time to get rid of. I choose this inspector for the nice pictures on his website and it cost me a lot of time and about $15000 in repairs.
