Just one-on-one time with an incredible physical therapist. I met Dr Jung after 2.5 years in pain (about 14 months of severe sciatic pain) that left me with pain-based scoliosis. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Dr. Jung was kind enough to call me on his own time after work one evening and assured me his experiences could likely assist. Dr. Jung has a kind and compassionate presence along with wisdom from years of hands on experience and tons of training. Did you know Doctor's of Physical Therapy (DPT) can opt to go through residency and on to fellowships? He was one of the first 10 DPT fellows in the state of Maryland! He will empathize and listen to your concerns and celebrate each of your successes while ensuring you get the most out of your time with him. While not without pain, frustration, and setbacks, I'm THRILLED to report that I can now take zumba classes and am planning some large travel trips that I couldn't imagine a mere 12 months ago. The Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion team is wonderful - I would highly recommend any of the therapists for any of your PT needs, though I am very partial to Dr. Jung for any spine-based issues. Do note that getting an appointment with Dr. Jung may take a few weeks because of his popularity, but he is worth the wait. As a tip: when you call to make your initial appointment, ask to get on his schedule twice a week to make sure you don't have to wait again --- if you opt not to see him anymore, just cancel the appointments with no problems. After 6 times I decided to stop bringing him. This was in June/July 2016. I CONTINUOUSLY asked the clueless person at the desk for an account statement and was given the run around. In December 2016, I receive a statement saying I owed them $207. I called, was given some ridiculous story about the staff and their billing system. I told them that they took 6 months to bill me, I will take 6 months to pay them. After making numerous payments, I received a bill from a collection agency for the full $207. I just had to waste 3 hours getting cancelled checks. I've been trying to call the office for days and get a fast busy signal. It would not surprise me if they went out of business. Not to mention...they sell a line of diet supplements, which seems to be where the focus is for them No one there seems to have a clue. There are many other PT offices....use one of those!

She was nice and extremely gentle and cautious. She gave me exercises to do at home, but they didn't help the issue I was having. My second visit was about 6 or 7 pm in the evening with a different lady named Malika who saw me. She took me in about 25 minutes late, I guess her previous appointment ran late. She took me in and started right away, and just verbally started asking me where I was having pains. (Now looking back I don't think she even glanced at my medical records.) So I explained to her where my pain was and I said that the exercises Ginger had given me didn't help and my OB had recommended I continue going to physical therapy even with all my past complicated pregnancy. Malika was nice and very chatty. She had me lay on my side and she started give me a deep tissue massage from my neck down to mid buttocks (on my right side), which I thought pregnant women aren't suppose to get. I mentioned it to her and she said in her culture they don't believe in that stuff, but by that time, the damage was done. Of course I felt better temporarily, as you do with any deep tissue massage, but that same night my contractions started and my water broke at 1am. Not very long after, COINCIDENCE? I don't think so. Two days prior I was at the OB and everything thing was perfectly fine and I hadn't dialated at all, plus I had a cerclage done to help ensure I wouldn't go into labor this early. I was only 34 weeks and had a baby prematurely. I later researched and found there are labor pressure points that shouldn't be touched and Malika was all over the lower back points. As a result my daughter was in the NICU for almost 3 weeks! I was so angry watching my daughter suffering each day. I called the office and demanded to speak to the owner, which turned out that she (Malika) co-owned. I ended up telling her what happened and of course she denied doing anything wrong and said they are very conservative, gentle, and never harsh. I told her she gave me a deep tissue massage and of course denied doing so. They wouldn't even own up or take responsibility. PLEASE be careful going here, ESPECIALLY if your PREGNANT. They don't know what they are doing.

This is the second time I've been to Brody. In the past I broke a pinky finger which was useless at the time and at the end of a month of therapy it felt much better and stronger. Today, I can't tell that I broke it. I'm 65 yrs old so things take longer to heal. I was so impressed that I came back. This time my thumb was triggering and my strength was very poor in that hand. Again after just a month, the pain and triggering was completely gone but more importantly to me the strength had come back in that hand.
