I don't know what it is about this location, but the employees are always incredibly rude. I've worked retail myself and am always polite, as I know how rude and frustrating customers can be, but I've been here several times and never *once* have I had an employee here seem anything other than impatient and disinterested. If you ask for help, they respond in a dismissive monotone and quickly turn away without offering any actual help, even when it isn't busy at all. It leaves me feeling bad for even walking in and apparently annoying them. Other Forever 21s in the Portland area are fine, and I'd recommend going to literally any other location. This one seems to hire on the basis of maximum disdain for customers. It's bizarre. read more

The staff at this location are extremely unwilling to help. On two occasions I would politely pull up the online store to reference what clothing I needed or have questions about, for them to shrug and tell me to figure it out myself. The changing room staff would give me attitude about wanting to try on more clothes if I found more things to try, even though I would never ask them to do more than take back what didn't fit (I spent about $100 that day so it wasn't like I was rejecting everything I tried on!!) That should've been the first red flag. The store is disorganized and hard to navigate; I wouldn't ask for help if I didn't truly need it, but every time I did I felt like I wasn't welcome. Their return policy is also shady to avoid accountability for their clothing being low quality with holes. Their prices are better online, don't be like me and struggle in the store only to find the item for 30% cheaper online. The prices aren't even that great for the quality of clothing you're receiving! I'm never going back to this location, if not the entire brand completely. AVOID THIS STORE! read more

Listen to the reviews, DON'T shop at this location. Most of the workers are rude if you bring back items because it messes up their quota. Returns are extremely hard to come by because the "rules" vary from worker to worker, which is STUPID because we have to buy the clothes to try them on at home because of the PANDEMIC. The manager (older gal with light hair) proceeded to give me dirty looks and question if I had worn the dress before when it clearly looked brand new and had the tags still intact. I am all about a good deal, but sometimes the amount of effort that is put in....??? the scale has to be balanced. I am thirty-something now, not 21 something, so standing in the freakishly long waiting room line to try on my random assortment of tees,flowy shirt thingys, a tube dress (ya right! one can dream!) I am thinking to myself...am I too old for this? Is the $11.50 tee worth all this effort. I have a head ache from the club music and all the small kiddos running around doing the same thing I am! But I finally enter the lime green "pretend to be hotel chic" dressing room for which I can barely figure out the door. There are three hanger hooks on the right side of the stall about 3" away from eachother. I look to the left to see where I will hang my rejects....no other hooks. The only other place, save the floor, to hang items is the gigantic, shiny fake gold door knob on the center of the apple green stall door. I am annoyed. How hard is it to design a proper and functional dressing room stall. I envy my friend, Mel, who had the good sense to leave the store and explore more exhaulted shopping experiences. I find 2 items that were unique to me and decided to purchase. Progressed to another long line. There is only one checker chick! There are other employees to that come up to this lone ranger and ask "Are you up here by yourself?" Without even hearing her answer, they are off to go fold something. Where is the managment? Where is the back up checkers? The owners of this chain are smart though. Once they get your $$$, they have it with their no refund policy. I got dizzy as soon as I walked into this store. Stripes, Plaids, Bright neon colors, Flowers, Polka dots, Checkers, Hot Pink, Deep Purple, *faint* Too many options, two floors, not enough dressing rooms. Dressing rooms upstairs were closed. Bee lines at the first floor dressing rooms. I waited for my sisters like bored boyfriends waiting for their girlfriends. I like the Lloyd Center Forever 21 better. It's smaller and it didn't take forever (maybe they are living up to their name?) to go through the whole collections. read more

Forever 21 is the worst company, tries to rob you blind. Tricks you with final sale, horrible costomer service and terrible fit and quality. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I went in to return things from the mail that didn't fit me despite using the size chart perfectly. These clothes are snagged and not advertised correctly on website. I was told by the employee that they could take it back but that I could "resell them at plaitos, or one of those stores like that" I paid $50 waited 2 weeks then took an hour car ride and I only got 20 of it back. Im out $30 that i could use for stuff that actually fits me or i dont know book retals for college, cause ya I'm a poor college student. And that's there prime audience. I was in their store today (Washington Square, Tigard, OR) and bought several items. Now I know their return policy SUCKS big time, but what I did not realize is that once a transaction has been finalized (even though you have not left the counter - much less the store), you are toast if you want to return something... So upon receiving my receipt, I asked what this item was that was on my receipt because I did not recognize it. She pulled everything out of the bag and told me what it was. I said I only bought this one item because the 3 other items that were similar (only difference was color) were only $ 3.80 and this was $ 6.80. I said, "well I don't want it then, return it". She said, "I can't, all I can do is give you a gift card". I said, "well void the transaction then". She said, "I cannot do that either, all I can do is give you a gift card". At that point I asked to speak to a Manager. The Manager shows up and proceeds to tell me the same thing. At this point I'm livid as I had not left the sales counter, much less the store.... Forever 21..... How I wish I was still 21! I like that this place is affordable for my budget. But I do not like how some clothes don't have quality. I guess you get what you pay for. I like that there is variety and options of clothes. But I do not like walking into the place where half of the things are disheveled and on the floor. I like that I can spend at least an hour just finding stuff I think is cute. But I do not like waiting in line just to try things on in the dressing room. For a reasonable price and fashion forward/friendly, this place is here to stay! I will forever be a customer at forever 21. Just know their store policy when you reach the cashier. Worst place ever! I ordered something online and had it delivered to the store under my daughters account. MY DAUGHTER IS A MINOR! And because she did not have photo ID they refused to give me my item. I tried everything, showing them my receipt, verifying the card I used to purchase the item, even my photo ID. All I got was "we cannot release the item until photo ID is provided" My daughter is a freaking minor!! What the hell forever 21?? I will never shop here again and if you want to save yourself the headache, avoid this place at all cost! read more

This store hardly even deserves 1 star. I went to buy sheer tights and the girl with terrible bangs assured me that they were "sheer" and "able to wear under a dress". I went home, opened the package, and put my hand through the tights to make sure the were sheer. They were actually opaque. I went straight back to return them and the "co-manager" said that there was hair and dandruff all over them and since the package was open, she could not return them . I wasted money on an article of clothing that I cannot use. I wanted sheer, not opaque. I was unable to return my item. 0/10. Never going back. Never recommending. read more

I needed some cheap t shirts just to sleep in and I knew forever 21 would be the place. 4 bucks for solid colored cotton tees, I like! It was easy loading up cuz they have lots of colors and crew neck versus v-neck. This is what happens when I pack real light. This location is much larger being 2 levels, nicer and more organized than the other locations in Portland. The organization makes it easier to get in and get out. I was browsing and accidently wandered in the men's section, hehe. The men's clothes looks more emo/hipster-ish by the way. All in all, I got what I needed here. Everybody knows that you can find some cheap shit here to wear out but if you look closely it's poorly made and the fabric is cheap, makes you itchy and doesn't feel comfy on the dressier/skankier stuff. So Nah, I'd rather spend my moola elsewhere like nordstrom or bcbg, etc., for quality and you can totally tell if a girl walks by and she's wearing forever 21, it's an obvious cheap. 4 stars for cheap comfy casual wear for rolling around in bed, channel surfing AND organization and cleanliness in this location. P.S. It helps to go on weekdays, It'll be less annoying. read more

I think I spent 2 hours in this store, and thats the longest ever! I usually get in and out within 20 minutes because most F21 stores are really cluttered and I get a headache from even just looking around. This is one of the most clean and organized I've been too. You don't have to go through racks on racks of mis-matched items. You can just walk by and glance if something catches your eye. The also have a huge sale section and every so often, there's an additional 50% off. read more

This store does not even deserve 1 star. Period. Their "customer service" (if you can even call it that) is disgusting. I went in to exchange 2 dresses that were given to me by my Mother. She lives in another state than I do and I was not given a receipt (obviously because they were gifts). There were 2 cashier's up front that stated they could not do anything without the receipt and referred me to the online customer service. One of them continued to be rude and stated "well, we do have Forever21's in that state." I said, "I'm sorry, but I do not live there." I called the online number and they told me that unfortunately, the cannot help me because they do not track store purchases and only handle online purchases. This company is a joke. The employees are rude. Honestly, going into this store gives me so much anxiety I think I'm going to have a heart attack with how messy and disgusting it is. I feel that this store has a good selection for different styles of fashion. However, this store is always extremely messy. It's so hard to see anything due to how packed the fixtures are. Also, as a plus size person, their "plus size" isn't really plus size. It's a little small for plus size. That section was not only messy but lacked in selection. I love Forever 21, don't get me wrong. I love the clothing style, the variety, etc. However, upon checkout, I was very rudely treated by the manager of this store (Lloyd Center location). Granted I was unable to purchase the items with the card I waS using, I still think the manager could have treated me with more respect. She immediately looked at the card, looked at me, and proceeded to clear the screen of my purchases that the cashier girl had rung up. So I asked if I could put the items on hold, and the manager very reluctantly, very coldly replied "yes," but only until tomorrow. The cashier girl was much more kind to me than the manager herself. I understand that the woman was only doing her job in a way, but she made me feel like 2 cents for being unable to pay at the moment due to the situation. My grandpa gives me permission to use his card and most stores I go to are 100% down with allowing me to go ahead and check out items. I guess it's different at the mall, and that's understandable. I really do understand why the card would be unacceptable in some stores, as it is against their policy to accept cards in a name different from one's own. OKay. Fine. No big deal. But what I don't understand is why this manager had to go out of her way to treat me so coldly. It was just really unnecessary. read more

Just rude customer service, they aren't willing to help. Firstly, their store customer service was awful. I came in to return some items I purchased online, but didn't have my packing slip. I showed them the online receipt they emailed me. My items were within the return policy and still had all the tags attached. The lady wouldn't return them because she said my online receipt doesn't reflect what I actually paid, and I said what do you mean it shows right there what my discount was and what I originally paid. She glared at me and said "im not returning this. Go get something off the floor and I can exchange." She pointed at their clothes behind me and then walked away. I was baffled. I never like anything in store, I only like the online items they offer. I exchanged my clothes for something random, then with the store receipt returned them to get my money back. a few months ago I signed up for their credit card, and was told I would get a coupon in the mail in addition to the immediate 15% discount. When I didn't receive it, I did a live chat with them on the website to tell them I didn't get it after they said "what can I help you with" but when I told them, they never replied. Two more times I started a chat, but every time they kept logging out without responding. And then, yesterday I signed up for their emails to get 10% off my order. I received a coupon, but when I typed it in it said my discount does not qualify for my order (I had $288 worth of clothes). I refreshed the page and typed it in again, and it said my code was expired, even though you're supposed to have 7 days to use it. Anyway, I messaged their customer service explaining this, and she said, "I see! Please try back again in 2 hours. Is there anything else I can help you with?" I replied, "Is there another code you can send me? I'm worried if I wait to purchase my items they might get sold out." And she said, "unfortunately, that is beyond our ability" which I thought was weird, aren't they supposed to be customer service for a reason? So then I asked if I could order my items now and then get them price adjusted, to which she again replied, "No, unfortunately we are unable to do that." Like what else is their service for then? If they "can't" create another coupon code after the one they sent you doesn't work, or if they don't send you the coupons they promise at all and don't care, what's the point of even having a customer service? My daughter bought a pair of shoes that had the tags, including a big plastic security tag INSIDE the shoe, and they were connected with a short 6" string. She took them home and when she took off the tags and string and walked in them, they slid off her heels. So she took them back, explained that standing still they seemed to fit (the one side she could try on in the store) but when she walked in them they didn't. Even though she never wore them outside her bedroom, they wouldn't give her a refund because she took the tags off. :( When I pointed out that their tags are positioned where you can't actually try the shoes on unless you take the tags off the manager was very snarky, and finally offered us a not a refund, not a store credit, but an immediate final exchange - if she picked something on the spot, which will not be returnable if she had a problem with it. Serious customer service fail. I'll definitely be spending my Christmas dollars elsewhere. read more
