Klamath River Resort Inn - The room

    Klamath River Resort Inn

This is the kind of place you wish you could call home. The rooms are comfortable, but the outdoor…read morespace and friendly atmosphere were the highlights for us. The massive lawn out back extends right up to the river and is surrounded by mountainous forests in the distance. It's a spectacular view especially as the sun goes down. We enjoyed the sunsets on lawn chairs - they are set up under big trees outside each unit as well as in a few other places across the grass. The fire pit next to the water (with chairs and cut firewood) is perfect to chat around as the sky turns dark. The rooms are attached to small but full kitchens which are shared between adjacent units (two rooms per kitchen). We had no trouble navigating kitchen use. There are coffee grounds and a coffee pot in each room, so you won't need to worry about sharing the kitchen if that's all you plan to make. The only issue we ran into was finding shampoo and conditioner (there are no sample sizes here), but there is a market just a 5 minute drive away. Normally we would've brought our own but we stopped for a night here after a week-long backpacking trip in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Theresa was extremely helpful in accommodating all our needs, even allowing us to use her laundry soap and appliances to wash our clothes! We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Many thanks to Theresa and the Klamath River Resort Inn.

Absolutely fantastic spot on the Klamath. The property is right on the water with a big lawn, and…read morethe location is great near Happy Camp. You can venture out into the surrounding area easily, or just opt to relax at the Inn. The amenities therein are a little sparse, but that's why being so near to Happy Camp is nice: you can easily hit the market up for supplies. The rooms share kitchens, but are separate otherwise. This would be a great place to do a group trip with two or more rooms rented in conjunction. There is also a grill and patio area over near the volleyball lawn. Nice staff, and the grounds were well kept up. For the money we spent, the experience was well worth it.

Bigfoot RV Park & Cabins - Humming Bird and Lady Bug Cabins

This place was a total gem and I'm SO glad I found it! (Thank you Yelp!)…read more We had originally planned to stay in the Redwoods over the weekend, but nowhere was open due to covid-19. Then I remembered the beautiful Scenic Highway (CA-96) "Bigfoot Scenic Byway" - boasting the most Bigfoot sightings - connecting the coast to the I-5 in far-northern California. I've always wanted to drive it, so I figured I'd check to see if there were any camping options along the route, and I came across Bigfoot RV Park & Cabins in this quaint little town called Happy Camp. Since they are a private property, they were still able to be open during this covid craziness, and they did a great job with making sure things were clean and social distancing was practiced. We happened to be the only ones "tent camping" as others had RV's or cabins booked. The area for tent camping is a little courtyard that has chairs, a bonfire area, and it's right next to a very clean and well-kept bathroom, shower, and laundry room. The camping courtyard is a bit small and probably wouldn't fit too many tents if people want their space, but again I think most people are there for RV's and cabins. My favorite things about this place were a) the location - "Happy Camp" is such a cute little town along the Klamath River, so you can walk a short distance and be right in the middle of tall trees and rolling rivers... b) the owners who were very down-to-earth and made it feel like everyone there is family, and c) the overall vibe. It doesn't feel like you're in California or Oregon for that matter; it's its own little piece of the Klamath River. If you find yourself in Northern California or Southern Oregon looking for a gorgeous little getaway, I highly recommend it here!

Mine was also missing coffee maker but had cups and ground coffee. Also, no heat in cabin. Two extra stars because the other hotel owner was nowhere to be found and this was our last option

Obviously when you see the Majestree, everything else pales in comparison, which is their best property onsite, and the Pleasantree looked a bit small n not so spacious but it is what it is. Majestree is so spacious n luxurious. The view here is so gorgeous especially in spring. The staff are so amazing including ziplining staff - ziplining is expensive here compared to other places but the experience was simply amazing with their Big Dipper. One of their key highlights is their amazing spread of breakfast - the best I've ever had at a bed n breakfast. One of their chefs is a young girl Eden who is so skilled and talented and even willingly shared her recipe for lavender cake when I told her how awesome it was. All the staff are really friendly. In fact they kindly agreed to refund 80% of our ziplining fee when one of their coins kids were scared after the practice ziplining abd refused to continue. No one would do that. Some of us did horse riding, and they loved it as well. Would love to return sometime! My husband n I came back here after 13 years and none of our friends were disappointed.

Such a cool experience that i am looking forward to coming back with the kids and grandkids to par take in the horseback riding and ziplining that they offer. MOLDY ! NON SAFE FOR FAMILIES, ELDERLY, DISABLED! DIRTY!…read more Do you love the "vibe" of a Motel 6... but wish you could pay a couple hundred more for it? Then The Logic Riverside might be exactly what you're looking for. Do you enjoy driving 15 hours straight to end up at a moldy smelling, blood stained sheets, motel 6 vibe hotel? The photos online promised fresh, modern, and welcoming. The reality? Dingy, musty, and crusty. The second we opened the door, we were hit with a mold smell so strong it could've had its own zip code. The carpet was dirty and lumpy, the ceiling sagged like it was giving up, and the patio hadn't been touched in ages--covered in spiderwebs and so slippery (not safe for disabled, elderly, pregnant women, kids, or anyone). Housekeeping? Could be better. Toilet paper roll half-used, dust everywhere, pubes in the tub (yes, really), mold around the shower and stained comforters that looked like a black-mold art project. Nothing says "welcome" like wondering if your sheets are contagious. And the surroundings... let's just say there's a full-on homeless camp right next door. The vibe outside makes you want to lock your car doors every ten seconds, and definitely doesn't scream "safe family getaway." We told the front desk, and while they were nice, offered for us to talk to management. The solutions were laughable: switch to another musty room or take a "discount next time." Next time?! As if anyone is lining up for round two. The only halfway-decent part of the place is the lobby, which lures you in before the bait-and-switch. For the price they charge, this is absolutely not worth it. If you're spending good money and actually care about clean, safe, decent accommodations--skip this place. Unless, of course, you're into mold, mystery stains, and locking your doors on repeat. *EDIT: Response to Evelyn To clarify, I did speak directly with the manager and the only solution offered was a "discount on a future visit." Given the condition of the room and the health/safety concerns I experienced, I did not feel that was an appropriate resolution. The photos I provided were taken in the room I was assigned, and accurately reflect the conditions.
