Caleb came to reprogram our remotes because the overhead door was opening on its own in the middle of the night. He also lubricated the door and glides thoroughly. He was on time and answered all my questions. Offered to come back if the door mysteriously continues to open on its own. read more

I've been using Forest Door Company for many years. By accident I got our Liftmaster electric door opener connection wet and killed it! Called Forest Door and they had their guy Bob out in 2 days to replace the whole system. Bob is the best. Very efficient and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend them if you have any garage door issues. read more

Forest Door was recommended to me by my neighbor. We were having issues with the sensors on our garage, which made it difficult to close without holding down the button the entire time. I sent Forest Door an inquiry on Monday, and they responded very quickly, letting me know they could have someone out on Wednesday. They called to confirm on Tuesday, and gave me a 2 hour window, which is ALWAYS appreciated! Mike showed up on time, was polite and fixed the problem right away. It's always nice to have businesses be respectful of my time, and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Forest Door! read more

Polite and prompt! i called about an issue about my garage door for a second time in the past few months, and they had a friendly and knowledgeable guy out the next day to take a look. Of course my garage door decided to work fine when he was looking at it. He offered me some suggestions about what to try if the door started acting up again though, and suggested I tried to video record the problem next time, which is a great idea. I'll defs call again if my garage door needs more help. thanks! read more

Forest put up up my garage door years ago. Yesterday the door was acting weird when it didn't go up. So I unhooked it and manually brought it down. This morning it didn't go up at all. It was stuck. So I called and talked to a dispatcher who told me that a repair person would be to me between noon and two. Repair person arrived by one and got right to work. It's fixed! And after all his work fixing the cable and putting it back where it belonged. Awesome that the company didn't try to upsell or fake the cable and spring needing replacement. Thanks for a job well done. read more

Called for a service call on Tuesday and they were out first thing Wednesday morning. The tech had to replace both extension springs and cables. He had the repair done in about an hour. Also adjusted the garage door opener. The door works perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the work done. read more

The go-to guys for all our garage door needs. You city folks can look down your noses at us all you want to, but we suburban drones are parking our cars in nice warm dry garages at night while you circle the block again and again to try to find a spot, then shoveling it out of the snow all winter. But I digress... I have been known to hit the side of the garage door frame while entering and exiting so the good folks at Forest Door come and fix me up every time. They will lay out all the costs in advance and show up pretty much when they say they will. read more

We recently bought a fabulous foreclosure where the garage door was all jacked up. After figuring out exactly what we needed, I started calling around to get estimates to fix it. When I called Forest Door they were professional and gave an estimate that was lower than several companies (by $100!) and similar to a few. We decided to go with them. I set up an appointment and the repair guy showed up just about 5-10 minutes after their estimated time. He was a bit perplexed by what had been done to our garage door, and there was some muttering (it was comical, I didn't hear any swearing or anything), but the door was quickly fixed. After he started testing it, another problem became apparent and he told me the piece he would need to replace was $25. I said that was fine and soon the whole thing was working. I think their estimate was $250 (it may have been lower, around $220-230), but the final price with the unexpected replacement was $230. Pretty good. Hopefully we won't need any more garage repairs, but we'd use them again if we did! read more

Forest assessed why garage remote caused blinking light and sporadic effectiveness on opening/closing door even though the wired control worked okay. We were told to buy a new garage door opener. I googled the problem and learned that the blinking light indicated misaligned safety sensors. After aligning the "green" sensor light with the "amber" sensor light, the remote worked perfectly. Unhappy with Forest, happy with google. read more

I needed. Garage door and I must say they were very helpful and pleasant. My purchase was quick easy and painless. One point is don't purchase at the last minute if you want something special. They have a nice selection. I am satisfied with my purchase. Prices were great. read more

I called several places looking to have some easy repairs done on the garage door. I kept calling places until I found someone that could be there today. The retainer on the garage door had ripped off, and the beams weren't lined up. He told me it would be 95 bucks for a service call, which for the city, is probably pretty average. Soon enough, the serviceman showed up and fixed everything I had an issue with. When I asked how much, I was only charged for the service call. Thank you so much. Now that is customer service. read more

I've need Forest's help twice and got fantastic service both times. Speedy response, punctual arrival, fair prices, and skilled work. First time I needed a new logic board and they had this very obscure part in stock and handy for pickup. Second time one of our tension springs snapped so Forest came to us. They arrived exactly when they said they would and were done replacing it in under an hour. I won't look anywhere else next time I have a garage-related need (which hopefully won't be for a while). read more

My garage door lights wouldn't come on. The gal that answered the phone gave me several troubleshooting tips all of which I had tried. She then asked what type bulb I was using and when I told her it was one of those new LED types she said sometimes they didn't make contact. On one side all it took was tightening it more, but on the other side i had to replace it with an old style bulb. Now how nice was that? Saved me a service call. read more

Our Townhouse had Forest Doors install all new doors some years back. This morning I called and said it only went up one panel and kept stopping. I called at 8:45 and they had a repair technician here by 10. I appreciate that they are pleasant on the phone and stand by their customers. I have to mention I am in the northern suburbs and we did research and every recommendation said go with Forest! I now know why we did!! 100% recommend Forest Doors! Bob was great thank you!! read more

I've been using these guys since 2004 and my condo association has been using them before then. They always come out when they say they are going to come out. The work is always done quickly, correctly, and cleanly. They don't nickel and dime us like a lot of the other service companies. I have only ever paid the service call and parts. No travel costs. No materials/supplies fees. No upsell. They provide maintenance service for four two-car garage doors annually. In the past, they have installed sensors and programmed new remotes. I plan to use them to replace an old garage door opener soon. read more

Ok - so I called Forest Door this morning REALLY kinda paranoid, because someone stole my snowblower out of my garage and I totally believed I didn't leave it open, so now I'm thinking someone hacked my garage door open, but after speaking with Bob who was so kind and helpful at reassuring me that it's not that likely someone hacked my garage and there was just a strong chance the garage didn't close, like I thought it did (still bummer for me and my stolen snowblower). In any event, I still wanted to be reassured that it couldn't happen and wanted to know if there was a security way to prevent hackers and he suggested reprogramming my remotes and told me I could do this from my unit. They charge $95 to come out and do it, but he offered to walk me through it over the phone. How kind and full of customer service was this! Most businesses are in it to make money, no matter the cost or customer issue, but when you find a business that tells you " I hate to charge customers for something that's so simple and something they can do themselves" this let's me know what type of principle this business is built on and it also let me know they will be around for a long time and I will be right there with them giving them my money in the future if I ever need garage door services. Bob and this business made my day!! read more

I found Forest Door via Yelp and had read good reviews. I had my garage door installed Saturday (04/27/18) with the motor and I could not be more happy with the results. On time, professional , especially from Bob W and Bob (estimator). Definitely recommend. Installers a bit on the cold side but still very professional and efficient. They even kept their word on a price adjustment if a certain modification was not needed to the facade of the garage. A+ read more

My daughter found this company on yelp. Our garage door stopped opening and closing and we needed to get it repaired. They came out and discovered the car was blocking the sensor and our door was perfectly fine. They did not charge us anything since nothing was broken even though they could have for coming out for the consultation. They conducted business with the highest level of honesty, integrity and professionalism. We highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heart beat if we had a problem that needed to be fixed. I wish I could leave 10 stars. It's so hard to find a business with this level of customer service in today's kind of world. Thank you again. read more

Great job Forest Door Co.!!! My install is complete, and they did a professional job. From the start to the finish, Forest was by far the best company I dealt with. I got 4 estimates. Only 1 company actually sent someone to my house to look at my garage and see what needed to be done. Yep, that was Forest. The other 3 estimates I got ranged from $900.00 up to $2200 dollars!! Without even looking. Let me tell you, Forest fell WELL below the top estimate, and just slightly higher than the low estimate. If you are looking for a garage door, call Forest Door Co. I don't give a lot of 5 star ratings, so feel confident with these guys. Peace! -KEV- read more

I just had Forest Door Company come out to figure out why my door kept popping up when trying to close it... I figured out that it must be the safety eyes on either side of the garage. Those needed to be adjusted, and the technician found several loose bolts and wires that needed to be secured properly. He took his time and the door is working beautifully! This company has also installed new springs once and a new garage door opener 7 years ago. I am very satisfied with their work, pricing and dependability. They came out the day after I called! They are awesome! read more

The torsion spring broke on our garage door recently. I called Forest Door because my mother had some work done by them before, and they offered to come out right away. I set up an appointment for later that week, when I would be available to let them on to the property. They called me the morning of the appointment to re-confirm everything and came out sooner than expected. The technician they sent was so courteous and knowlegeable, and he got right to work. He was done in under an hour, and I was able to get on with my day. Forest Door's pricing was competitive with other quotes that I had received, but I eventually went with them based on the work they did for my mother. I would highly recommend them to anyone else. read more

We bought a house last fall with a janky door that finally derailed on us. Home Depot's garage door repair never returned my calls, so I turned to Yelp and found these guys. After that, my review sounds like everyone else's. They showed up the following day, 45 minutes later, the garage door was better than it ever was, I had a standard service call charge, paid a little more for some parts, and Mike was on his way. He was very friendly and even voluntarily greased up my other garage door that was creaky. read more
