KBB has an option to get a cash offer from 3 local dealers and Honest Auto was one of my options. I went to another dealer first and they told me if I wasn't planning on trading it in, they wouldn't give me as much money. They even recommend going to Honest Autos. I appreciated their honesty. When I got to Honest Autos, I was promptly greeted and asked to wait until their Buyer Agent, Dale, was free (I didn't make an appointment). He was ready for me in about 10 minutes. Dale was super friendly and knowledgeable. He and and another employee (I assume a mechanic), took my car out for a test drive. He came back, reviewed their findings and also reviewed the Kelley Blue Book offer. I had a mechanical issue that needed to be addressed that altered the price by about $200 but I thought that was fair. I had done my research ahead of time and had a range in mind given the age and condition of my car. As a side note, this dealer is extremely accomodating. They had sent me an email and text once Kelley Blue Book notified them. They are also willing to drive you back home if you sell them your car, or they'll come to your home to do the transaction. My husband followed me, so I didn't need a ride, but that's a nice added service. I was literally out the door in under 30 minutes with a check in hand. I would totally sell a car to them again and I'd recommend them to others for the same service.

We watched SubarusRUs remove timing belt and they showed us there was No marking or writings on it, it was an OLD belt. They said it was impossible for the belt to be completely black and void of any indications of marking or writing if it had been new 3 months ago. Additonally the timing belt tensioner was totally shot. All new parts were supposedly replaced by almands on Sept 16. Also the belt cover was taken off to do the work and was never put back on. All the work had to be redone that almands charged me for. Its impossible that all markings wore off a supposedly brand new timing belt in less than 2,000 miles and 97 days

Subsequently, I hooked up my OBD2 Scanner (On-Board Diagnostic Scanner) and read the codes. Since my normal mechanic had a month long backlog I called these guys, then asked a few questions and then towed it over to Robert to dig further into the issue(s). Everyone I talked to was pleasant, knowledgeable and responsive. They were able to work me in the following work day and after determining what parts were needed, obtained them promptly (I.e. next morning) and had the job completed by late afternoon. In short, my car was in and out by the end of the third day. Kudos to these guys for a job well-done, timely and very much appreciated. I NEED to share my experience with this company to help my fellow villagers who are searching for…read moresuch a reputable company. I used Nextdoor to find a mechanic for our automotive repair needs since we are fairly new. One that caught my eye was Hutson Automotive in Fruitland Park. People mentioned since they were experienced racers AND the were the choice of lots of people with the $$$ to invest in vintage cars favored this place, decided to give it a try. THIS PLACE IS 1950'S, MAYBERRY RFD, HONEST, HARDWORKING, I WOULD NOT QUESTIONS A SINGLE CHARGE BECAUSE I KNOW IF THEY SAID IT WAS NEEDED IT IS BECAUSE IT WAS honest!!!!! I will tell you I witnessed them tell people "hey, it might be under warranty and if it is great, but if it is not, bring back the receipt and I will deduct it from your bill should you choose to have us repair it". I witnessed people walking in to buy a "part" from them they personally were going to install vs having it done. THESE PEOPLE ARE REAL, HONEST, GENUINE PEOPLE!!!! IF your car needs ANY kind of servicing, I STRONGLY recommend you give them a call for your needs. Their mechanics have been there 20+ years which tells you they treat both the customer AND employees fairly. I was also impressed with observing them fight on the phone to FIND parts that are needed but unobtainable currently because of supply chain issues on behalf of their customers!!! I'm here to tell you there is not a place I have ever taken a car to in my nearly 70 years on this earth that I have felt better about. I am so very grateful for the recommendations I found here, and I know that as long as we are on this big, blue marble that we have found OUR automotive needs, won't take you to the cleaner's place for LIFE!!!!!!!

This was an honest, upfront diagnosis and the battery was replaced the next morning at a very reasonable price. GREAT JOB!!!!!

After driving a couple blocks after having that battery changed, a light on the dash that I had never seen before came on. So, I pulled back in to politely ask if it was possible that the battery cables were not tight or something and to look under the hood myself, even though I had been nothing but calm and polite, he got extremely defensive and rude but said nothing about cancelling or upcoming appointment (which he knew I was staying in the area an extra day for) The indicator light went off when I restarted the car and never came back on and after some research online, I believe that he hadn't done anything wrong connecting the battery but that having the battery disconnected caused a sensor glitch. When I returned for that appointment two days later he refused to work on my car claiming that I had gotten angry with him which up until that point was absolutely not the case! He had my phone number yet never called to cancel; so, it seems like a deliberate petty, vindictive attempt to waste my time when all I had done was politely ask a question. This is the most childish and unprofessional behaviour I have ever experienced from a mechanic! I recommend avoiding this place at all cost!
