I had been having some electrical issues affecting my bathrooms, GFCI's and my daughter's room the past few months and it was really wonky the past few days. We hired Knock Out Electric/ George Murphy to do the electrical for a basic kitchen remodel. The first, who after 2 days on the job we requested he not come back d/t concerns of his mental health or other issues- and d/t messing up the recessed lights layout and transformer wiring. The second sub, was labeled the "project lead" and we were told to work with him to finish things up. Well he couldn't figure out how to make the cabinet lights work on a dimmer. His solution was to replace the whole set-up with AC tape lights, instead of just figuring out the transformer etc.. When we expressed our concerns to George he said he'd handed over the contract to Adam/ the second sub, and if we wanted the work finished/ fixed we'd have to pay him/ George more. Feels like a scam! So we're left with unfinished kitchen lights- they left a mess several times - and they refuse to finish. AND George deleted our communication on the joist app so we can't access the original estimate. Why would he need to do that? What is he hiding? Weird. He'll take your money, send incompetent subs in, not finish, leave a mess. Don't hire him because he doesn't care about the customer.

I brought my sputtering mower in, and was so surprised that Bo and team submitted the work as warranty as all was approved so no out of pocket expense! But beyond, when I picked up the unit..I had to ask Bo if they brought the right unit out to me..it was cleaned and tuned up to the point of looking and working as if I had a brand new machine! I come from the school of Lean Mfg. and just walking into their shop was pleasant--everything neat, labeled, organized, clean! I was so surprised that Bo wasn't out to charge outrageous money for and in fact suggested that he would try for Warranty approval first. ( I had taken this unit to a shop in Uptown, paid $90 in service fees, Owner had trouble even finding my unit, then told me he spray cleaned the carburetor, worked ok for 1 mowing ). While they were out, we asked them to service the unit, which they did. The unit has worked fine until now, June of 2022. It has recently been giving us problems, so we called and asked them to come out again and service the unit, which they did. The repair only lasted a few weeks but being an older unit, we called and asked them to give us an updated quote to replace. The first quote from 8/2021 was $1,690.00, and 10 months later the new quote was for $23,100.00. When I called them, their response was that they needed to send out two guys to do the job and that they needed to make money. They also told me that all prices have gone up.
