I'll give these guys a zero I brought my car in front of oil change, check the air conditioner. Check the tires. I brought the X-3 in a couple months ago. I told him the same thing was going on with my car. I was hearing some squealing noises and they said there was nothing wrong with anything. I've had BMWs for 30 years. I know how they work. So I come back they say I need new air conditioner a dryer that's gonna cost 3600. That's more than the BMW dealership. The part denso cost about $387 online top-of-the-line. There's nothing wrong with my suspension, but yet they told me I need a new control arm and bushings My car is not making any shaking. It does not shake at a certain speed. It doesn't shake when I break. There's nothing nothing wrong with my suspension. The squeaking noise is coming from the air conditioner. I told him when I take my foot off the gas the squeak stops. The kicker is this. I let air out of my back tire rear right tire. It was about 25 pounds. I asked him to check the tires literally ! when he came back to me. He said yeah they looked a little worn out in the back. Nothing about being low they couldn't break out a two dollar air gauge check my air in my tires. They let me go of their lot with a 25 pounds of air in my back rt tire. I specifically asked them to check the tires. Then they wanna charge me over $5000 fir work Total rip off total rip off when I got the car at the shop. The mileage didn't even change !! worse , when I got it back so they didn't even take it for a test drive to see if anything was going on. They claimed to be like some kind of awesome Foreign auto repair shop, but they're really just a scam job trying to rip off people I give them a zero!!! read more

Recently took my car here for an oil change and filter replacement. Had to drop the car off because I had to work. The business arranged to send me a code to pick my car after hours. After work I had to call them to retrieve the code. I never received any courtesy call or code for the key lock box. Come to find out the RECEPTIONIST PUT THE WRONG NUMBER ON MY ORDER TICKET!!! The whole time someone else was receiving my information and code. Very unprofessional customer service. Never again will I do business here. I had to call police because I couldn't get in touch with anyone and I would've had to wait until the next week to get the key for my car. read more

No STARS - Foreign affairs say they are different than other repair shops. They are right - THEY ARE WORSE -2022 GLB Mercedes - under 20K miles. They found a leak in the Engine mounts - asked about warranty and got no response - I paid $1200 - Found out later that was under the warranty of 4 yrs 50K - spoke to YoY -CS manager - her response -I should have checked the VIN # - Really?? Is that the customer's job? I emailed the owner, Jonathan, but there was NO response. The service here has dropped dramatically over the past 2-3 years. Sloppy work, poor follow-up, changes in policies, stains being left in the car, having to come back 3-4 times in a 2 month time frame to have the same issue fixed properly, all unacceptable. After 3 visits to fix the same gas problem, I had to come back AGAIN as the car was still sluggish and now had a Check Engine light. I was told I had never informed of the sluggishness before which is 100% incorrect! This time was told there is a $645 co-pay to cover what the warranty company didn't cover. This is after a $900 co-pay less than 2 months prior for the same fuel issue! I checked with the warranty company and they were astonished that I was being charged that much, even if I didn't use their aftermarket parts. Should not have been more than a couple hundred at most. While in the shop, the car was being detailed due to the fact the technician left oil stains in the back seat during previous visit. A good company would have the car detailed, which you did.....a great company would have the car detailed and then QUALITY CHECK the work before giving the car back to the customer, which you did not do. Still had stains on the seat. Got home from the detail and the front passenger turn signal marker was dangling by some wires! What the hell?!?!? After 6+ loyal years, you have lost a customer. I will not return, nor will I recommend friends or co-workers anymore. read more

Since I wasn't familiar with this automobile service outfit, I had also placed a call to the local dealership with whom I had a business relationship and asked their opinion. Armed with a rousing positive review from the dealer, I visited FOREIGN AFFAIRS and so glad I did. This place is top-notch. From the moment you walk in to the reception area, the impeccable level of service is admirable. Friendly, efficient, courteous staff, a winning combination. Their Service area correctly diagnosed the problem and completed the required fixes. As an accommodation to the customer they offer Uber transfers to your home and for return pick up of your car. Also impressive was the two-week call back to check on the effectiveness of the fix at no extra charge. This is exactly what I was hoping to find and happy to now have a home for my automobile servicing. Great to know that excellent service has not gone out of style. Be careful with this place !! . Took my vehicle here for repair . When I got it back they had cost me over $3k in repairs to fix their mistake . Only reason I brought it here was my technician was out of town to do the repairs. I should of took it to the dealer so they could of noted it down that the repair from Foreign Affairs had messed up my vehicle. This auto repair shop got lucky that I didn't file a lawsuit on them . Lesson learned . They think they know what they doing as service advisors and technicians but they don't . They talk a big game but is all lies. Never will I be back !!! Terrible experience. My Audi was in for service at Foreign Affairs late January 2025. The car was diagnosed as needing some parts. While waiting for parts to arrive the shop recommended an oil change. I authorized the oil change. Within hours I received a phone call that the technician had dislocated the oil pan threaded insert while un-torquing the oil pan plug. I was told this was my problem and the cost to replace the oil pan was $1,900. I asked why this was my problem as they were the ones that broke the piece and was told this oil pan insert was a "wearable" part. I understand that mistakes happen, but it is inexcusable to not stand by your work and put the mistake on the customer. An oil pan being a "wearable" part is a lie by any standard. I know what you are thinking...it was probably over torqued by the previous oil change tech. They were the last to do an oil change on this car 6 months prior. There was no issue at that time. I pulled by car from this shop and told them that I don't want them working on the car if they will not stand by their work. I was offered a discount of $1,500 to fix the oil pan. I declined the offer and optioned tow the car home at my cost to fix it myself for $800. I did not recommend this shop. read more

Yesterday, May 23 rd 2023 my husband went with my grandsons SLK 300 to Foreign Affairs for 8 am. An Orange engine light was on the dash board and I was delighted when they said come in for 8 am. At noon, a diagnostic test was run. 57 items passed inspection. 4 didn't. Those four were Plugs, A/C cabin filter, engine Air filter ( two back tyres needed soon) Total 2,051: 60 AND.....AFTER THESE ITEMS WERE TAKEN CARE OF, ISSUE AT HAND MIGHT NOT BE RECTIFIED AND MIGHT NEED MORE WORK. 159.00 for test. I went ballistic. Plugs, Cabin A/C filter, Engine Air FILTER,HAD BEEN REPLACED IN DECEMBER. What kind of test, and more importantly, what kind of mechanics couldn't SEE THE PLUGS WERE NEW.??? Ones who never inspected them....and because new Plugs were needed the last time the car was in, it was PRESUMED they had not been done. SO, If I were senile, I'd write a Cheque for 2,051.60 and the orange light would still need ATTENTION. I told Chris, this was total bullshit. And I hung up. THESE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS NEED TO BE QUESTIONED. IF I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR WORK THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE....???? It's NOT WORTH 159.00 to tell me I need to replace two back tyres SOON. DO NOT GO HERE! It started when the bill was handed to me. I had previously called to discuss what it would cost to change a ABS sensor on the BMW which I was told would be roughly $400. After a longer discussion with the technician, I made the decision to change the remaining 3 sensors as I had previously changed the left rear tire sensor in February with a different provider. When I looked at the bill, I was charged an additional $180 diagnostic charge. I would have been better off going to the previous mechanic as it would have been $150 cheaper. I was also told I would be given a $100 credit as the total bill was pushing $1400 including a brake oil change. I got $85 with no explanation. This whole event felt like a major BAIT AND SWITCH! To add insult to injury, when I left after paying and examined the car, the mechanic somehow caused a major dent to the hood. I was then forced to take the car to an auto body repair and paint shop for two days of work. Foreign Affairs did pay for the $425 repair. This was my first experience with Foreign Affairs and what a dandy one it was! BTW, they let me fend without a car for the weekend as the auto body shop repaired the hood. Accidents happen but I wish they would have worked on the car the same as the shiny red Ferrari setting in the showroom. This should have been my first indication that they were going to get me one way or another. read more

The crew at Foreign Affairs is awesome. The response time to any contact with them, whether email, text or phone is almost immediate. The issue(s) with my vehicle where thoroughly explained, they contacted my extended warranty company exactly like the dealership would do. I have to say I did not receive a different price than I was quoted from Mercedes for my issue(s), but I felt the comprehensive evaluation of my vehicle was more thorough hopefully avoiding another return to any shop in the near future and ane Mercedes didn't pick up on. Photos to prove problem and an explanationof same. The complimentary Lyft ride from the pristine shop to home and back was a nice plus but the attention to my requirements were a huge plus. I had to leave my car an extra day before I could pick it up, an unforeseen issue, and thought there may be a problem. Their shop seems to be located on a smaller sized sight so I was concerned, but there was no problem at all. Overall, the work was done and I couldn't be happier. The people are accommodating, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I did get a break on scheduled maintenance so that was great and the car is running like a top! Follow up to a recent review. After getting a quote for nearly $10,000 to fix my AC which wasn't blowing cold and replace valve cover gaskets to fix an oil leak on my 1996 911, I decided to get some other quotes and try a different mechanic. Just got car back from my new mechanic in PBG. Total bill was $1900 with tax. AC wasn't broken just needed an electrical connection adjustment and oil leak now fixed with the gasket job. Be careful with this place. At a minimum get a second opinion before committing to large jobs. read more

Brought my car there because I needed a battery and the tow truck guy highly recommend them, and they were still opened. The called me the next day with $3,900 of recommendations. I opted for getting the battery situation fixed, a new ABS sensor, and getting a fog light tightened. Note: they said they'd be taking the front bumper off to get at the fog light, so I obliged; wanted to get a better seam when they put it back on...which I was told they did. (See pics). Those three item: battery, ABS sensor, and fog light tightened cost me $1,102. My car was returned with bird crap on it, sand/gravel on the inside, all the seatbelt warning lights on, and the cover for the diagnostic plug broken and on the floor. Lovely! Methinks, they owe me a fix for those dashboard lights and a new cover where the diagnostic cord plugs in, as it won't stay in now. It's as though they just rushed through my car and threw it in my face, after getting (over) paid. That was an audition, and you didn't get the job. You're fired! read more

Took a working car with a check engine light in to them and after spending 1200 dollars received a broken car back. Not only broken, not drivable. I had to trade the car in so I could get to work the following week. Do not recommend. Jonathan, I would only be happy if you gave me 1200 dollars back. You called to repeatedly say that I should have taken the car that you guys destroyed and almost got me into a car accident back to you so I could spend another 1200 dollars. Do you guys only care about money?? What if I got into an accident? I wish I could post the videos I have of the car literally dying on me. Finally have given up on these guys with my 911.Every time I go I come out thousands of dollars lighter. I drive my car about 500 miles a year and have owned it for the past 20 years so I know how it's driven and I know it has no hard wear and tear. Often the car takes way longer than promised and you can blow an entire week waiting for your auto to come after a six hour promised turn around. Worst experience ever, they send out a mailer that states "Save up to 50% vs dealer prices" when in fact they were 10%-12%+ over the dealer prices for the repairs performed. I had my car towed in with a dead battery and a coolant leak, upon picking up the car only made it 24 miles after a $3760.14 bill, overheated, alarm triggered while driving & unable to turn off, dashboard lit up with warning lights, key unrecognized followed by a dead battery. I brought it to the dealer who completed the necessary repairs, seems I was charged $1488.66 for an unnecessary alternator replacement, $105.93 for a Battery/Starter/Alternator Testing which did not diagnose the battery discharge issue (a $229.87 fix at the dealer), the car was not reset properly when replacing the battery which cost another $443.27 in malfunction replacements/repairs. The coolant level was not sufficiently replaced Foreign Affairs and caused me to overheat (I was told upon leaving the reservoir sensor was not working). Whether this was incompetence or outright fraud remains to be determined, I am seeking restitution though legal & state/local channels through the Dept of Commerce & Attorney General's office, have contacted the local news channels who have taken an interest in this matter & have disputed the entire repair charges with AMEX, STAY AWAY & take your car to a reputable mechanic! read more

I got my Mercedes type A service done. After service noticed they didn't even check tires air pressure and fill it as recommended. They also say that car will be clean or wash when you come to pick up but nothing. They did the inspection and recommended to change air filters at less than 10k miles for another $300!! So, the place has a website I found when I needed some work done. You can schedule your appointment on that website, which was handy because I went online about 90 mins before they opened. I requested an appointment for an hour after they open. The site was so-so: I selected my Make, model, & trim FROM THEIR DROP BOXES. Then, I was required to provide both a phone number AND an email address. I limped my car to the shop. When I tried to drop it off, one guy said, "oh yeah, we got your notice," as he pulled out his mobile phone. The other guy said, "we don't service those" (in a tone that I found quite rude - not sure why he thought I was the person who killed both his mother & puppy). 1. Why would they have cars listed in their service appointment drop boxes that they do not service!? 2. Why would they require both a phone number AND an email...but then use NEITHER after they checked my appointment request?! 3. Why would they be so rude to a (potential) customer...esp. after they made the mistake? read more

I have to be totally honest. I didn't know what to expect Foreign Affairs Auto you walk in and it is not like any other repair shop. I felt I was walking in to a cafe. I've had experiences where the cost for repairs fueled someone's lifestyle. When I received my estimate, Jonathan was helpful explaining what was wrong and what repairs were needed. I will admit I did my research called around like I've said I've been burned by that guy who shows up in a Porsche to sell you a pool. I was totally surprised that not only was the estimate extremely competitive, the bonus was that the work was guaranteed for 2 years or 24k miles. Please do not take your car to Foreign Affairs Auto (FAA)for any major repairs. I am relatively new to the area and took my 2002 Mercedes SLK 32 AMG to FAA on two previous occasions for minor repairs. On the second occasion I felt that the cost was excessive and had no intentions of taking it there again. On the second occasion, in addition to brakes, FAA charged me $145.00 to repair my car seats which I could no longer adjust (up or back). They couldn't determine the problem, but still charged me the $145.00. Additionally, on all occasions, a shop supply fee ranging from $31 to $56 was added to each bill. The service manager, Anesh, indicated the supply fee was a standard fee for supplies and waste removal. Unfortunately I was out one night and the convertible top of my car would not completely go up. The small side windows would not raise. Again I took it to FAA because I didn't know of any other car repair shop that worked on Mercedes and I needed it repaired as soon as possible since it frequently rains in Florida. FAA kept my car for over three weeks. My husband stopped by the shop on a few occasions to see what was going on. On one occasion after having supposedly fixed the problem, Anesh said the mechanics couldn't figure out why the top wasn't going completely up. There was a visible gap at the closure. Anesh suggested we use some type of wrench to close it. I indicated that was unacceptable, especially since the initial charge was $1300. After having the car for almost a month, they finally fixed the problem at a cost of over $1,700, so I thought. My husband picked up the car on 9/25/18, and I returned home from out of town that same night. I didn't drive the car until 9/27 at which time I noticed that whenever I used the right turn signal, the emergency/hazard light would come on. I took the car back to FAA on 9/28, explained what was happening and let Anesh know that this problem wasn't happening before. I told him it was obvious that it was something the mechanics did in the wiring when they fixed the convertible top. He assured me FAA would fix it at no charge. A week and a half went by, and I didn't have my car. My husband was in contact with Anesh, because by this time, I didn't want to have any interaction with anyone at this place. Anesh kept telling my husband they were working on it. My husband and I went to FFA on 10/12 to check on my car. I sat in the car because I didn't want to deal with anyone at FAA. My husband was gone over 20 minutes so I went inside to determine what was going on. Anesh said some part (PSE vac pump) had corroded and was the source of the problem. I was charged over $1300 for parts and labor for something I know they did when fixing the convertible top. I'm no mechanic, but common sense tells me that if a part that controls the signal was corroded, no signals would have worked. In my non mechanical opinion this appears to have been a wiring issue that mechanics spent time attempting to resolve. I was subsequently charged for what they messed up and couldn't figure out, just as they had when fixing the convertible top. Even more upsetting is when I drove home and locked the door with the remote, the rear lights didn't come on as they should have. Consequently I have spent over $3000 at this place and now there is another issue. Please don't take your car here for major repairs. You probably can get it fixed cheaper at the dealer. The problem is they are trying to service too many different types of cars and have no expertise in any car. They do not devote time on one car and ensure it is operating properly before moving to the next. They kept my car for an unreasonable amount of time on both occasions. FAA agreed to refund me $300 in labor for the later service, only because I was in the process of filing a credit card dispute, which I've done in the past and received a full refund. In hindsight I probably should have proceeded with the credit dispute since I honestly feel that FAA was responsible for the issue with the signal light. I just wanted this to end. While it didn't create a financial hardship, I certainly had no intent of spending $3,000 on an old car, since I'm not rich by no means. There is no argument that FFA probably spent time attempting to find the problem that they caused, but consumers should not be responsible because a company has incompetent mechanics. I honestly try hard to be a fair and morally good person. I wrote this detailed review because I don't want anyone to experience the anguish I experienced with FAA. Again, I would not recommend anyone to have their car serviced at FAA for other than common maintenance needs. read more

Klauss and Frank are 2 top notch gentlemen who know how to treat their customers with, respect, courtesy and kindness. As the owner of a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320, I've been very happy with their level of service and quality. While I have little technical knowledge of cars, they have been very good in giving me honest opinions of what's going on in my car, and have presented repair options fairly and cost-effectively. They could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge, but they did not. This is very important when keeping a middle aged European car alive. They also do excellent, reliable work and are always pleasant to deal with. Excellent service on our Mini Cooper for about 1/2 the cost of the dealership. We were treated well by Jonathan, and kept up to date with calls and texts concerning the status of the repair. He tries to act like he knows what he is doing but is just a big liar. The service technicians can not fix anytime and only makes the car worst. I took my 2017 GTI Autobahn in because of some warranty complexities with my front assist not working. They give complimentary rideshare to wherever I needed to go (rental car facility in my case), which was impressive right off the bat. They have a great system to keep you informed of the status of your car and have a high visibility garage with a neat and tidy looking facility overall.
