I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. Max gave us a lot of good information on the best materials, sizing of the doors, etc. He recommended we go to the Pella showroom together to check out all the options, which was super helpful. Based on my experience with Max and Pella I was about to order doors thru them, but then got a quote that seemed quite high once they realized the doors would have to be a custom size and we would also have to customize for color (to match our other windows). I decided it was an expensive enough purchase that I should shop around some more and ended up going with another company. Overall, I found Max to be pretty responsive and knowledgeable when it came to doors/windows. While McCann didn't work for our needs this time they would be worth reaching out to for other window/door replacements in the future.

They came in a few weeks later and two of their team members came out to install them in the morning. Everything was done quickly and professionally with care. After the install, I had a question about one of the windows since it looked like there was a small crack at the top corner and they sent someone out to look at it right away. It turned out it was just some glue residue that was attached on the inside of the window that made it look like a crack and was easly scraped off with a razor blade. I definitley recommend using Semko as they provided a very reliable service and also beat out many other window companies with their competitive pricing.

Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. I'm usually not one to spend time getting a bunch of quotes and just rely on Yelp reviews to make a purchasing decision, but this was pricey enough purchase that i figured I should do my due diligence.' We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.
