I usually don't like to put reviews but when the customer service sucks! That's when I place one. I decided to go to ford flowers because they do beautiful arraignments but those two ladies that work at the front desk should be replaced with better personalities and customer service!!! As I went into the store to place an order on two prom corsages , there was a lady at the front assisting with a pus on her face not very helpful! I went in with my daughter , we were both clueless on what to order , that lady didn't even help at all! she expected us to know what we wanted . Then this other lady came in was a little helpful not much help either ! Provided us a book to look at with ideas but still didn't offer any suggestions, corrected me saying their wristlets not corsages ! Even though they are called prom corsages !!! After placing the order my daughter and I walked out saying to each other , that was a horrible experience not even sure if what we ordered ,we were going to be happy with , since one of the ladies kept talking flower etiquette . we weren't sure we order the correct flowers for the corsages ! I didn't want to spend $100 on 2 corsages and not be happy with what I ordered , I went back into the store to make sure , I showed her a picture and she still kept taking flower etiquette ! Then I sent in my daughter to make sure because at this point , we were both so disappointed and clueless on what exactly our flowers on corsages were going to be which is why I sent in my daughter to check again! Of course by daughter was given an attitude still not knowing if we order the correct flowers. This experience was the most horrible unprofessional one I've ever experience here. I love going here for my flowers because they do so well. But after this experience I might have to search for a new place . Unless they speak to these two ladies to change their attitude and be more helpful to their customers , who aren't so familiar with the kind of flowers and come in clueless and needing assistance on a purchase !! I hope our prom corsages are beautiful because I will be very disappointed if these come out not the way my daughter wanted them ! I cannot recommend Ford Flower enough! We went in to meet with the team twice, and I showed them pictures of things I liked. I told them my goal was to have colorful flowers, and they did not disappoint. The colors were beautifully coordinated, and the blooms in all bouquets and table arrangements were enormous. Just left the shop. Asked for a $60 bouquet. I didn't like two flowers and asked for white, so the lady tossed in some cheap carnations. Then the lady told me it was $85. The bouquet was honestly ugly and I feel ripped off. Utter disappointment when you see a $70 bouquet pass by that looked much better than the product I received. Although the merchandise is absolutely beautiful, I found the staff person that waited on me rude and obviously miserable. She talked to me like I was an idiot when using my credit card. I was close to asking her if she had a problem with me for some reason but decided to let it go considering I was on my way out. I even thanked her and she never uttered a word. No"you're welcome" or "thanks for coming in" Nothing. I work in retail sales and I would never treat a customer like that. You know who you are Linda C and I hope If you read this, you'll treat your customers nicer than you treated me. Today is Dennis's and my anniversary! 5 long years of gay love!! Isn't that hot? I needed an anniversary gift and decided to stop at Ford's on Route 28. They have such beautiful arrangements and flora. I found a nice premaid arrangments that suited the occaision perfectly. Since it is the day before Thanksgiving, they are all strung out for Christmas and the holidays. They have real flowers and tons of artificial like trees, flowers, and arrangements, wreaths, fancy tree decorations, gift baskets, and also nice jams and jellies to make your own gift basket. The staff are nice and friendly here. I also love the Christmas lights that are on most of the time and make the 28 strip so festive. read more

This was my first time and my last time ordering from here... So disappointed in the service I received. I didn't even get an apology when I called them and spoke to a woman named Cindy. They sent a plant in a wooden box, I ordered a basket. It was a sympathy plant and I wanted it to look nice in their house. I ordered from the web site. I know mistakes happen but own up to it when it does. Don't make it feel like it's the customers fault..They did eventually change it out for the correct basket which still looks nothing like the picture on their website! I had the most gorgeous bridal bouquet from Ford Flower Co! The process was easy- just send the florist my inspiration picture and tell her my date, done. It was wrapped beautifully in silky ribbon and pins with little pearls. It was ready early for me on pick-up day and came in a box with water that kept stable in the car. My husband's boutonnière also matched beautifully. I've always used Ford when sending or purchasing flowers, they are reliable and work with you to design the right arrangement, and their flowers are beautiful. However, I was surprised by my recent experience with them. I Recently received a sympathy arrangement which was not the prettiest in my opinion, which also, needless to say started to wilt the next day:/ My friend who sent this (also uses Ford for everything) said it wasn't an inexpensive arrangement either. Despite this experience, (everyone makes mistakes), and in the same week, I ordered 2 dozen red roses with baby's breath and a blue ribbon to honor my Step dad who was a Veteran. I asked the woman over The phone if I should do white or red roses and she said red was the way she would go, and I concurred. I also asked if they could put "stepdad" on the arrangement. Well what arrived was two dozen white roses with "Dad" instead of "step dad" written. It was slightly embarrassing, as my bio dads family was there, it was A little awkward. It's the little things. Anyway despite those Things, I also received a beautiful plant garden. I will continue to use Ford as they were very apologetic, and did make good, by crediting me for the Roses, and sent a gorgeous 2 dozen red rose arrangement to my house the next day. Those flowers lasted a week a half! I don't believe I mentioned anything about the wilting roses. Consistency, and attention to detail is a must. Maybe just a bad week. read more

My experience with them is based on my appointment with them. I want to say that I went into this already thinking they were our florist for my wedding, signed, sealed, delivered. However, my experience with my appointment was so negative that we are looking elsewhere now. For one, the appointment before us went over. Not 5 or 10 minutes, but an hour. In any other place, the person in charge would let the previous appointment know that the next appointment is here and wrap things up quickly. Instead, I get ignored for about 5 minutes, before getting a brusk, "Uh - do you have an appointment?" When we say we do, they just walk out into the center of the second floor of the store, grab a table that has fake plants on it, take off the plants and brush off the dirt (!!) and grab a few old chairs (I emphasize the old -- the padding was coming out!) and a second lady to do our appointment. Hmm, already off to a bad start here, but it only gets worse. Now, don't get me wrong, the lady who did our appointment was quite nice. But the entire appointment was one big, "well we'll see the photo albums once we can go over to the bridal area." We were essentially without anything -- no samples, no albums, nothing. I spent half of the time looking over and wondering when our appointment could really get started. The appointment before us didn't get out until 10 minutes before our appointment did. That means they went almost a solid *hour* over. At that point, instead of letting us finish up our appointment in the bridal corner, they ushered in the third appointment (and the people there didn't hesitate to interrupt our meeting to let us know that the next appointment was there -- as if I didn't feel like the "you're not that important of a client to us" point wasn't driven home enough). It really bugged me because our appointment happened 15 minutes late to begin with since we had to wait around both for someone to recognize that we were there AND to set up an impromptu (and dirty!) meeting area. I recognize that brides are emotional people (I know I am) and I fully recognize that there is a lot of coddling involving in the wedding planning process. However, if you can't handle your appointments, why am I going to hire you to do something as involved and important as my wedding? read more

Judging from the other review, you should definitely stop by this florist in person. My experience was ordering online. For my mother's birthday bouquet, I wanted to give some business to a local florist. They're probably a mile from her house. Her birthday was yesterday and they still haven't delivered it. Apparently they tried once. I didn't receive a call or email from them asking whether they should leave the bouquet. Maybe their flowers are pretty. We had approached a well known Andover florist 7 weeks before my son's wedding and asked for 2 fresh floral ceremony centerpieces to supplement the beautiful silk flowers which were the mainstay of the wedding decorations. The Andover shop clearly had no interest in our business, actually stating that it was very close to the wedding to make this request and that they would call back in a week or so to let us know if they could "squeeze us in." Seriously? We didn't need wedding party bouquets, just 2 centerpieces. I discussed my displeasure with my coworkers who strongly suggested I go to Ford Flower Co. In Salem, NH. They had all positive experiences and thought their work was of the highest quality and very creative. A phone call was placed and I spoke with the owner, Bert Ford. Yes, he could accommodate the order. Yes, he would deliver to the venue on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Yes, he had suggestions on arrangements for the wedding party colors of blue and orange. Yes, he would use urns that I would supply instead of his own materials. He was so positive and encouraging and INTERESTED...I knew he understood how important this order was to us, even though it was not a huge order. We met with Bert and he showed us ideas from a photo binder, and asked the bride what she wanted - type of flower, overall look, etc. Based on her wish list, he gathered artificial flowers to present her with an idea of how it would look. Great idea! We had made choices which were not at all appealing visually. Bert very patiently suggested an arrangement which ultimately was strikingly beautiful and added immensely to the beauty of the wedding ceremony. Some final comments... 1) The price was extremely reasonable for the quality, creativity and uniqueness of the arrangements. 2) We upped the bouquet order from 2 to 4 seamlessly - no problem whatsoever. 3) We had a LOT of contact with Bert (telephone, emails) and his response was always prompt, supportive and efficient. 4) he has been doing this for decades and is so knowledgeable and helpful! I knew leaving there I didn't have a worry in the world about how the arrangements would turn out, and I was right. Bert also accommodated a last minute request for rose petals to be strewn on the bridal path. Again, no problem. Ford Flower Co. turned a negative experience into one of the most easy and rewarding of the entire wedding planning process and I cannot recommend this vendor highly enough. read more

Ford Flower bar none has the best silk flower arrangements around. Yes, they are pricy, but if you are aware how much really good quality silk flowers are, you'd know why. And if you want your arrangement to look "real", you have to pay for better quality silks. I have sent real flower arrangements from there as well, and have been very happy with them. They also have some great houseplants if you'd rather send a dish garden or plant. Bert and his staff really do a great job! They also have silks flower stems and gift items you can purchase.
