Several members of our family recently purchased funerary arrangements from Piccirillo. We spoke with Dave on the phone to gather information (pricing, options on color, sizes, etc.) that I could share with other family members. He recommended we get two arrangements of the same style and color to put at either end of the casket for balance and he recommended a red, white and blue color theme in honor of the deceased's military service. We are unable to hold burial services until the Spring as their cemetery plot is behind a locked gate until the ground thaws. Therefore we did not purchase a floral 'casket blanket' or place the arrangements in cemetery baskets. Rather, we chose to have the arrangements in vases for family members to take home with them. Piccirillo was familiar with this need (not uncommon in this area) and let us know what choices we had available. The customer service was friendly and helpful. When other family members called to place their orders he knew exactly what they needed to coordinate the flowers. Payment was done easily over the phone and I received a text receipt for my payment right away. Flowers were delivered to the funeral home the morning of services. Everything went smoothly and the flowers are beautiful. read more

David the Florist is amazing! I just call and explain the occasion, or what I need or what envision done. He only needs to know the colors I would like it in...and it is amazing what he creates! My son and future daughter in-law had their Bridal shower last weekend. I called and asked for a wristlet corsage and a buttoneier. It was stunning! Beautiful fresh mini roses, blue hydrangeas, and a touch of lavender...double stretchy strands of pearls for the wrist. They were still perfect even after 4hrs of unwrapping gifts and tons of pictures. If you need flowers, an arrangement,or a dish garden call David Piccirillo the Florist is where to go! I don't usually write reviews but I had to for Piccirillos. They are the best florist. Not only have they been in business forever, but it's family owned and they make the best arrangements. I had surgery this year around Christmas and my family sent me a bouquet from Picirillos. I believe it cost $60 before delivery and LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL IT WAS! It was gigantic, had lots of buds and accessories, and it lasted forever. My husband also gets me random bouquets throughout the year. He will call in advance, ask for a $10-$20 bouquet and they are always beautiful and last forever. I can't say enough good things about them! read more

"Never judge a book by it's cover." This florist came highly recommended to us by Cataudella Funeral Home. I was skeptical upon arriving at the location of where they're based. But, after speaking with David about our needs and ordering what would be a beautiful arrangement for my Mom's funeral, we were comfortable in our decision. My husbad, noticed the Bruin's photo's on the walls and began a conversation with him. Come to find out this wonderful, off the beaten path little gem has been a family run business for the past 60 years. I just knew that once I handed over my CC, we made the right choice. We will definitely be repeat customers. Ever the professional and he knows his flowers! TY, David. They were truly beautiful for my mom! read more

So I just want to say the Piccirillo Florist In Methuen MA is the absolute BEST when it comes to floral arrangements!! And last minute orders!!! For Mother's Day, I called at like 7:00 pm that Saturday night and the flowers were delivered the very next morning!! All I can say is WOW!!! Spectacular arrangement!! They did such a kick ass job my Mother-in-law was thrilled to say the least!! A big beautiful bouquet of very bright beautiful flowers . So I now come to today. Saturday 7/25. I called late on Friday night and it went straight to voicemail. Dave called me very early Saturday morning but I did not answer. I called him back probably around 8:45 am. My voicemail states that I needed a sympathy arrangement delivered for 11:00 am at the church. Dave said no problem. It'll be there. It was definitely there before 11:00 as my husband and I showed up right around 10:45 am and my friend said that the flowers we sent were beautiful!! When I ever saw them, I was stunned at what I bought!!! So big and so very beautiful and colorful!!! I can't say enough about Piccirillo's in Methuen!! I will always go to them for anything floral!!! Highly recommend Dave for flowers. I grew up next door to the florist so I know first hand his experience, knowledge, and talent in arranging floral designs. I grew up a block away from Piccirillo so the first time I had to send flowers (many moons ago), they were an obvious choice. On the few occasions I have had in the ensuing years, I have continued to choose Piccirillo and been satisfied with their services. This last occasion was the most somber. My mother had passed away and I needed something to represent her beauty and sit next to her urn at her wake. Dave was very understanding and was clearly listening to me when I explained what I wanted for my mom. He even said I could stop in and discuss the arrangement. Because I wanted to make sure the flowers were perfect, I did stop by and we discussed what I was looking for. I even found the perfect vase for the flowers while there. You can save yourself a trip and trust that Dave and his son will provide you with a beautiful arrangement. Truly. Although the cost for flowers is exorbitant, Dave worked within my budget which I really appreciated. What he did for me & my mom honored her and did not look like a "discount" floral arrangement. Caveat: Appearances are deceiving. Don't judge a book by it's cover if you decide to stop by, it's the end result that counts. read more

Like he did for me last year, David came through for me for my 10th anniversary. I don't know if he keeps records or photos to reference somewhere, but he knew what I wanted without my specifying and he nailed this year's flowers as "Anniversary: The Next Year", even better than last year - beautiful arrangement, overflowing with roses and Gerbera daisies (my wife's favorite) and sunflowers and other flowers (see attached). And the price was just where I specified, and, wow, what a value! When delivered and my wife saw them at her desk, she called me and read me the riot act about spending twice as much as he actually charged (she thanked me first, tho...) David, thank you - you provide fantastic service and fantastic pricing and I will go NOWHERE else but you. read more

I am not from the area and needed flowers for my grandfather's funeral. After hearing nightmare stories about other florists, we were anxious about who to use. At the last minute, my mother and I selected Piccirillo's. My mother called in an order for several arrangements and explained what she was looking for without any pictures. When we got to the funeral, we were extremely satisfied by Piccirillo's arrangements (see attached pictures- the photo with fall colors and white and the photo of the basket with lots of colors). All three arrangemnts were beautifully arranged! The flowers were extremely fresh and the arrangements were full - not at all skimpy. We will definitely use Piccirillo's in the future. read more

A friend who lives around the corner took me for the first time - I live 30 mins away - but I will be going again! And I will go here first next spring. I regret it wasn't my first stop this year. Their selection is limited, but they had everything I needed - and some plants that I'd been unable to find at much larger nurseries. The quality was terrific and their prices can't be beat. I've spent the last 2 days planting some of what I bought. What a treat. Can't wait to go back! read more

Wanted to order flowers for funeral services. Found Piccirillo The Florist under the 10 best florists in Methuen in a web search since I live out of state, and how right that listing was. They were helpful, not pushy, patient with my many questions, and sent me pictures of the final product per my request, since I was not able to go to the services or see it in person. The final arrangement was better and fuller than anything on the major online florists and at a better price. If I ever need to send flowers to friends or family in that area again, I would definitely use them and recommend them. read more
