Hi all, I am new to…read morethe neighborhood and wanted to recommend an amazing dog walker/boarder that I have found, as she is accepting new clients. Her name is Georgina, and her website is: https://www.thedoggogirl.com/about Georgina is amazing with my 5 month old cowboy corgi Gus. He comes back from daycare happy and perfectly tired from his day of playing and socializing. He has also learned so much from Georgina and Gertie. Georgina also offers boarding, off leash hike walks, solo walks, short potty breaks, and will even take your dog to the vet if you need help with that. All the info about pricing for each service is on her website. She is obviously very experienced, and has a very confident and calm demeanor with the dogs, and I always feel at ease leaving Gus with her. Georgina also maintains clear and open communication about billing and anything that comes up. Please support her business and spread the word! Reese

I had met Dr. Scire's husband at a Laconia based business in January of 2024…read more Through the course of regular conversation, as I was looking for "Rescue Remedy" for my dog, because I had a gift certificate for his store, I mentioned that I was also looking for a new Veterinarian as well. I was delighted when he told me about "their" Alton Veterinary Clinic! Dr. Scire and her staff, from front desk to all the Technicians, were always kind to me which I appreciated because I was going through some very significant health challenges and associated financial changes as well, and I really needed to have a "happy" experience for myself and my dog, Garrison! His needs were: vaccinations, heartworm check, dentistry, and an aggressively growing lump removed. The first visit covered vaccinations, heartworm, fecal and urinalysis. The second visit included his preop bloodwork. The third visit was for the dentistry and surgery performed under one anesthesia, and the fourth visit was for suture removal (included in the fee for the surgery). The charges were as expected and came in UNDER the high end of the range that was quoted. Thankfully, the growth cytology came back benign for cancer! I will always be able to recommend Alton Veterinary Clinic because they were willing to work with the "Scotties Rock Foundation", my source for the funding of Garrison's needs while I was going through cancer screening for myself. I forgot to mention that I am also a Hemorrhagic Stroke survivor as well, dealing with a left side deficit of strength, and they were very accommodating of my medical handicap and personal needs. They also are one of a very limited number of Animal Hospitals in the Lakes Region that still offer a Senior Citizen discount! I will forever be indebted to Dr. Scire and her excellent staff, for their kindness towards Garrison and me!

We had spent so much time together during that time I guess she became hyper vigilant with me. She would become aggressive with any dog that came within in 10 feet of me. Barking and pulling and standing very tall. It never happened when others walked her without me. I tried for two years to change her behavior, including two different trainers, with no real changes. 10 weeks ago Maisie and I went back to Kelly (she had trained Maisie before Covid and she had moved her facility to further away). Within 5 minutes she had it figured out and we started a very simple, but effective program. Within 2 weeks there was a major difference. Maisie was more relaxed, calmer and much less territorial. She travels back and forth to CA from NH every year and I need her to be calm in the airport and not look at other dogs. 6 weeks after we started with Kelly we had to fly back to CA. Maisie was amazing. She was perfect. At 10 weeks out, she saw a dog long before I did. She sat and looked right at me without any instruction from me. THANK YOU KELLY!!!!!!! Can't wait to get back to NH this spring and tune up her service dog training and do some agility! Thank you again!!
