A few years back, during covid they were only taking drop offs. Wilson was retiring and the new vet taking over. I got a call from Wilson that Maxie has cancer and it would be best to put him down. Other than taking a long time to sit, he was eating. Active and happy. I said we needed to be there when that happened. They said give us an hour and a half they when we get to the parking lot call them. Once in the lot, Wilson called and said Maxie did on his own. We went in, Maxie wasn't white anymore, he was beigh and wet. The little guy didn't have us for comfort at the end. Now, you tell me what really happened. read more

Where do I start? The staff here is amazing. Sarah and Lupita go out of their way to help us crazy dog people. Both Dr. Vega and Dr. Wilson are fantastic. When you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcome to you and your fur baby. The place is clean and doesn't smell like funkiness which is a plus. I think the scentsy wax warmer in the corner by the receptionist does the trick. Anyways, the Drs aren't rushing you through to get to the next dollar sign. They ask questions, listen to concerns and spend plenty of time with each patient. Speaking of dollar signs, I find this place to be very reasonable! I'm a fairly new pet owner but I was surprised to find that the shots, meds and etc. were so reasonably priced. read more

First, I love Dr Wilson and his care of my pets. I have always had a great experience and today was the exception. I DO understand the protocols needed during Covid to protect the staff and support them. I'll offer some suggestions mixed with my complaint to keep the frustration level low for clients. 1. Have the staff park elsewhere and use your lot for clients only so there is enough room to get in and out cars with pets. Mark every other space. 2. Get more kennels so clients are not waiting 20 mins in the car with stressed pets who know where they are. If you are willing to overbook, then create room for the overbooking. 3. Have someone outside greeting clients professionally instead of "get away from the door"when you knock to get staff attention. These steps could have led to a better experience for my dogs and myself. read more

My dogs health decline and alignments where suspected early but things where brushed off by this vet.No thorough investigation under the circumstances and when my dog desperately needed this vet to be available THEY WHERE TAKING TIME OFF and when we did set a appointment there was conventional treatment "take steroids" "take these pills" "nothing we can do" Shame on this location not that there competitors where any better.This practice is a fail there protocols and training are a FAIL. read more

I dropped off KOKO at 9:00AM, explained the problem and was told that he would probably be ready to go home at 4PM. instead I received a call--from the Veterinarian himself--at 11AM, he gave me his diagnosis the problem. Well, that and KOKO was ready to go home. So pleased and surprised--the bill was half of what I expected. read more

So far so good. Only my second visit with my newest cat who is an amputee. They are very informative and ask if you want procedures done prior to doing them and fitting you with a bill you can't pay. If you don't want it done then they won't do it but then again it's your pets quality of life that will be suffering. Hopefully this awesome service stays awesome! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My dog was very sick with something unknown, and needed to be seen by a vet ASAP. Foothills is the clinic we normally took her to so we called to see if we could take her to them just to find out what was wrong. We started to notice my dog acting weird at around 10 a.m. so we called and were told that we could take her the following morning at around 9, but there was no guarantee that she would be seen, and that they would try to see her between patients after 12 p.m. Keep in mind my poor baby was sick and we had no idea what was wrong, We then tried calling Country Club Animal Clinic and they said to take her in a couple hours (around 1 p.m. the SAME DAY) and they promised to see her between patients. Sure enough we found out my baby was sick with a severe infection that needed to be treated immediately. Imagine we had waited until the next day when she could have been closer to death? I get that you book an appointment to have your pet seen and as a business they should stick to it right? Now put yourself in my shoes, and I'm sure you'd want the same for your pet, which is just for someone to tell you what's wrong with them and treat them as soon as possible if necessary. They couldn't even do that and would rather have risked my baby dying as she just sat there waiting until the next day, whenever she would have been seen, if at all. You best believe we stopped going there and moved her over to Country Club. read more

My dog became suddenly sick and I called foothills for an appointment. The woman on the phone was very kind and professional. They were pretty busy that day but they made arrangements for him to be seen considering his symptoms. The staff at the front desk were kind and we were greeted warmly. The vet was also very kind and I truly felt my dog was in the right hands. After leaving I felt relief and the services performed on my dog had him feeling better that same day. read more

I went here with my dog twice (who I ended up having to put down. :() It's really close to my house, so that was great. The staff is very nice. The facility was meh. The doctor was okay but didn't seem all that helpful, especially after I went to another vet (due to a need to get to one after hours). They wanted to charge me quite a bit for antibiotics (more than another vet later on). Maybe it's on the westside and that's why it's pricier? I'm not sure. They did help me call the shelter who was supposed to cover health costs, so that was helpful. It's an okay place to take your animal. I just wanted to give an honest review because all the other reviews were soooooo positive. To sum up, this place is fine. read more

Both if my parents are in the hospital right now and my son and I were taking care of their elderly dog. she got very sick and we had to take her to the emergency animal clinic. Five days later she was still so sick. They informed me yesterday that the vet didn't have time to see her. What? This morning it was clear she was dying. We wrapped her in a blanket and went in to Foothills. She died in my son's arms on the west to see them. we walked in there at 8:47 am. We were sobbing and holding out dog. They were so rude and told us the vet didn't get there until 9:00 and told us to go elsewhere. They were her vet. And even if they weren't where was their compassion. I will tell everyone I know about this. Sophia was so rude and uncaring. How dare they treat anyone like that?! Even a man that was there with his dog saw us and started to tear up. THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND DESERVE WHAT THEY GIVE TO OTHERS. JUST HORRIBLE!!! read more

One of the best vets I'be ever been to. They always take care of my dogs and the prices are more than reasonable. Just had to get a 4 lb tumor removed from my dog. It was going to cost between $1500-2000 back in LA, here it was a little over $800. They did a wonderful job with the surgery and took great care if my dog. She was up and trying to play the next day. Couldn't ask for a better place to take care of my dogs. read more

Just moved into town and got referred to this vet by a friend. It's a small operation and there's no emergency services here but everyone is very friendly and professional. I could tell immediately that they have a very loyal customer base because other customers were on a first name basis with the staff. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My dog Paisley needed Amicacin injections for an heavy infection in her knee (they need to be given daily without interruption) and my regular vet didn't get them in by mail right on time. Foothills had some in stock their pharmacy and administered the injection to my Paisley. They were so nice and friendly, my anxiety disappeared instantly. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Wilson since coming to El Paso. He always addresses my concerns and takes the time to discuss treatment. Recently we had to put our beloved pet to sleep (we had Rex for 17 years) he allowed us to stay with him until he was gone, and then arranged for a private cremeation. This week he saved one of our other dogs lives, an English Bulldog. He has treated us with the utmost care and respect, has never talked down to us, and treats our animals with care.
