Things I like about this place: 1.) $20 for a full hour massage! 2.) $20 for a FULL HOUR massage! 3.) $20 for FULL HOUR massage! Hehehe. So the place isn't the nicest of massage places I've been to that cost $20, but it's the closest thing we have to our work, so it'll have to do. It's a bit smaller than normal too, but I can overlook that since it's only $20 for a full hour massage. Haha. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and there was only one other customer in there. They sat us down quickly and began in less than 5 minutes. They start out with your head and your arms and your neck. Then they move down to your feet and they massage your feet for a good long while. (I fell asleep and even snored!) They massage your legs too. And turn you over to massage your back. The lady I had was really nice and didn't press too hard like some other places do. The only downside to this place was that it was difficult communicating with them. They had a hard time understanding us. We tried our best and I know they were trying too. Another thing was we called ahead of time to say that there were 4 of us coming in. We didn't have much time since we were on our lunch break and so when we walked in, they could only give 3 of us massages. My other coworker wasn't able to get her massage because we didn't have enough time. One last thing, they say they take credit card, but their machine was down because of the rain. That's a strange reason, but I had to borrow some cash from my coworker. So to be safe, just bring cash! HOLY. MOLY. How is it that I am from Monrovia and I never knew about this place?! Ok! My first trip here was December 21st for my cousin's birthday. One of my other cousins came prior to that so she recommended it. She told us the prices ahead of time so I honestly didn't expect something spectacular but a massage is better than no massage lol. My assumption was wrong, THIS WAS LITERALLY THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. And I've been to quite a few different spas in and out of state, different Massage Envy's, etc. and I am used to paying at least $65 for 60 minutes. This was way cheaper and the best I've ever had. I left feeling 110% de-stressed and I didn't want to do anything for the rest of the day except lay on my couch and stay in that state of mind (which I did... luckily I didn't have anything planned). For the next few days all I kept thinking about was this massage... so I insisted my husband come with me and check it out approximately the next week later and we got the 90 minute for $35. He said I was snoring. And again, I got nothing done that day. I'm telling you, you cannot beat this price and the quality of the massage. The only thing to be warned about, is that it is in an open room (which makes for a great party or gathering--for my cousin's birthday there were 6 of us) and from what I remember is there are 6 chairs, give or take (the pictures do a good job of explaining it). I would highly recommend this place to anyone. $20 for 1 hour head, arms, neck, back and foot massage. I was looking for a place where I can go and get a massage without having to take off my clothes. The masseuse was really nice and attentive. The warm water to pre soak my feet while she relaxes me with a head massage was wonderful. She paid attention to the tightness in my shoulder blades and worked her magic. This place... makes me so happy. It's SO close to my house. I love it. The prices... OMG. Let's start with the service. SERVICE: Mae was my masseuse. She was so sweet. I think she didn't think I could handle her strength so she was pretty light on me until she felt my shoulders and the knots that were there. YES. I woke up on THANKSGIVING DAY with knots on my shoulders. Like BAD. So she really had to go hard on my back. She really dug in there and it was great. She really focused on my problem areas and mainly my shoulders and back. I have been getting a lot of knots lately and she really worked hard to get them out. Please note tho: This is a Chinese place. You don't get ANY privacy. If you don't feel comfy taking your top off in a room full of people who are getting massaged, don't go here. But I don't care because everyone was pretty respectful. Mae helped me take off and on my shirt while I was laying on the bed. So my boobs were never exposed. She needed to so she could get my back. Only 6 chairs so they get busy on the weekends. PRICES: SO GOOD. I got 90 minutes for $35. WHAT!?! You should tip about $10, I know that's more than 20% but they charge REALLY cheap and these people really work on your back with their muscles. Reviewers aren't kidding when they say it's one room. It's legit one medium sized room with 6 "beds" laid out. For 30 bucks I was able to get a 75 minute foot/body massage. He really worked my shoulders and I should've probably asked him to go a little lighter as the next day I felt like my body had ran a marathon. I'll accept the blame on that one though. Starts with your feet then back and you basically strip down face down then he took my bra off. If you're not comfortable being half naked with strangers maybe not the best place but for the price you can't beat it. read more

I had a man that was giving the massage (wish I would have got his name) he was awesome give a lot of pressure the whole time and paid extra time on knots he found. This place is under new management and now goes by Foothill Sunshine Massage. I like the new people way better. They are professional and friendly. My masseuse's name was Raphael and he was very good. Great attention to detail and the style of massage was exactly what I needed. I had to take off one star because of the noise factor. They are on a busy street so there was a lot of traffic noise but that isn't anything they could really do anything about. There were these two women in there getting a massage and one was a complete chatter box who would not stop talking. She was killing everyone's relaxation. My masseuse finally had to ask her to be quiet and that was just awesome of him. I wish it was darker in there too. I will definitely be back again because of the good customer service and technique. This is my go to foot spa place. I had to write a review after last night's awesome experience. Was getting the 75 min massage with oil and we were the only two customers in there. Masseuse did a great job for how much its worth. I was having a really stressful day and by the end of my session I was a new, refreshed and happy person. I bring in my i own lotion and ask them to use it instead of the one they have and they are totally fine with it. During my massage they noticed I was cold and covered me with another towel. On top of that, I don't know if it was for me or the massuese but they brought out a mini heater to keep us warm and cozy, it totally worked because I fell asleep! May (mother), Raphael (son) are always great with customer service and massaging ask for them if you need a deep relaxation session. English is not their first language but they manage to deliver the kindest, and warm hearted service everytime we are there. read more

I received even firm pressure (not painful hard pressure) that was very enjoyable! His knowingness allowed me to relax and enjoy my treatment. I'm only giving this two stars because of the lady behind the counter. My husband is currently in his second week of staying at City of Hope. It has been stressful and to be honest, boring because we have to stay in the hospital. Sleeping on the pull-out sofa in his room has done a number on my neck and shoulders. I sought out a massage. The massage was fine and everything I expected for one of these places. However, after my massage the woman ringing me up asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. I said "yes, $10". She then told me that that was not enough because 90 minutes was a very long time. I should give $15 at least. My massage was $50. If they want to ensure people make a certain amount of tip they should just included in the price. I thought this was very unprofessional and rude. She has no idea how much cash I have in my wallet to even tip to begin with. I told her I would not return. He asked if I could come tomorrow I told him I could not come back tomorrow, I was needing to relax now, not tomorrow...He asked me to come back at 8:15 which I agreed too. Zero stars!!! We came in and they were busy so we made a later appointment. We were 3 minutes late for our half hour massage and they sat us down. Then they told my girlfriend and I that they had another appointment at 9 so they couldn't take us. There were 4 massagers there but they couldn't accommodate 2 when we were the only ones there? The man with a limp shoved his phone in my face saying he called me! I told him that's not my number. We said ok we will leave and. Ever come back. The people here make it possible for me to have a job that I love that also requires a lot of typing, a lot of driving, and a lot of emotional energy spending. I have had 3 different therapists and each one is skilled in a different way. The guy I had still smelled of his smoke and basically it was kinda more like a rubdown with lotion vs an intentional getting into pressure points and massaging with any kind of purpose.
