Dave, Craig, Josh and Lucas of Foothill Sanitation Services did an excellent job of cleaning out the 1200 gallon septic tank that had been overcome by roots and had not been serviced for almost 20 years. Yuck! Dave and Lucas operated the digging and location of the septic lids, while Craig and Josh managed the pumping and removal of roots. Dave didn't hesitate to jump in and clean out roots too and once he did, the rest of the gang followed!! What teamwork these guys showed as they all helped one another get the job done!! This was a difficult one for me to post but I thought it was important. First of all the customer service was wonderful; courteous, helpful, kind. Absolutely no issues here! The problem lies within their advertising. They advertise both on their website and on their "Hold" music on the phone that there is a 5% military discount. However, after I reserved the products they called for payment a week prior to my event. I asked them to apply the 5% discount as my husband is a 20 year retired, disabled military veteran from the US Marine Corps. I was told that they no longer honor that discount. This saddened me as this was the main reason why I went with this company, because they honor heroes! With only a week until my event, I had no choice but to stay with their services. I ordered a porta potty and the person in the office who does this is rude. they came to pump the potty and said that someone was parked in front of the door. My husband called and placed an order for a portapotty. The first order was somehow lost (by the way all first correspondences were with Robin an incapable human being) I then called myself to confirm delivery and was told they never had an order so I placed an order again and asked them they clean it once a month. My husband then called to change the cleaning schedule to every two weeks. As two weeks went by (also he spoke to Robin again) they never came I called and they said they had no order for the cleaning. Then after called several times to makes sure they were coming on Monday we gave Robin (again) the gate code in case it is closed. Driver came and said he had the wrong gate code so he did not call us to open gate at it is going on almost a month out toilet overflowing and they don't care. I have workers that Going And out of our gate and one of them must have shut it behind them. There is no reason a driver needs to be so incompetent as to not have the phone number of the person who's house or location the are traveling to. It is so easy to call and ask a question instead of traveling an hour only to turn around get your customers frustrated. We asked them to take it off our property and they responded that they can o my do things like cleaning and removing units on Mondays. What century are we living in when people can't do anything right anymore. Don't hire!!!! read more

Was told that inspection passed but has ongoing repairs. "This means that it doesn't pass inspection" and you must pay them to fix it so they can give a clear the inspection report. My husband and I have used Foothill twice now for a wedding and huge family party. We will NEVER use anyone else. The units are amazingly clean, service is impeccable and timely. If anyone deserves our loyalty, it's this company. If you don't give them a shot, you're doing yourself a great disservice. We went to Yosemite recently and saw the glaring difference in cleanliness ourselves. The PORTO POTTYS THERE WERE DISGUSTING. Whomever is in charge of hiring or giving out these contracts, really needs to be questioned. read more

Foothill Septic was hired to do an inspection and pump out the septic as part of an escrow agreement. This is a well-designed and maintained septic system that has no leaks, no clogs or back-ups, clear leach line (from tree roots or anything else) and exists underground where there are no vehicles driving over or parking anywhere near it. Although not necessary, they dug all around it and clearly found no back dirt, bad soil, and zero odor. Again, the tank didn't need clean out but was ordered and paid for as an escrow contingency. Foothill Septic was careless in backing to the tank, was too close on one side and tore down a top side of one of the trees, then took a saw to branches of the tree they already damaged. In addition, when digging around the tank, they broke the cement cover into multiple pieces, and it could not be replaced over the opening. They took the cover from the main opening and used it to cover their hole and stacked logs on it to hold it in place. Then the main opening was left wide-open, not even putting its cement cover back on knowing they used the outer cover. They literally left it wide open. They drove away leaving my property a mess with a very large dug up area, broken cement, and wide-open areas for any child or animal to fall into. In addition, the tree branches they destroyed were left strewn on top of the beautiful landscape. When the realtor called, the secretary and the service man were both very rude and took no responsibility. The report is not back yet, but it appears they are seeking some purpose or need for repair to con more money although they were already paid $1,200 to damage our property. In reading the reviews, they get mostly good reviews on RV pump out service (quick and easy money) but bad reviews on inspections. They are known to make up reasons for service and/or repair needs in to pass inspections. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I'm waiting for a call back from a manager or the owner before seeking legal counsel. Be cautious before hiring this company for any kind of inspection! read more

DISHONEST.. STOLE MONEY. We've been using this company for over a year, 2 services a month and never had any issues. Friday after Thanksgiving I called to cancel our service because it was no longer needed and talked to a woman with the call service they use. Fast forward to the following Friday I woke to an email with a charge for 2 services when there should have only been one since I had cancelled the previous week. I politely email back and said that I thought there was a mistake, we had cancelled further service last week, so we should only have been charged for one. Cassie responded and said they never received that message and that there was a driver scheduled for that day and I needed to confirm the cancellation and that the invoice that had just been sent would be our last. I asked her if the second service would be refunded and to have the service for that day cancelled because the tank was empty and service was not needed. I got no response for hours and sure enough the driver showed up. I met her outside and told her that I had been emailing with Cassie and that there had been some sort of was a miscommunication and there wasn't a need to pump. She was super nice, thanked me for letting her know, never got out of her truck, and left. Hours later I finally get an email back saying that they will not refund because there was no record of me calling and that they had already pumped the RV before I let them know. The audacity to completely lie is beyond disgusting. I let her know the driver never got out of the truck, sent her a picture of my call receipt from that Friday which clearly stated I had a 2 minute phone call with them as well as a picture of their truck (from the last service) that decided against common sense to drive on fresh mud while raining, instead of the gravel driveway. This resulted in the truck getting stuck, my husband having to pull him out, and 2 busted drainage pipes to top it off. Realistically they should be paying for their mistake but we are good, honest people who were just going to brush it off and not make a big deal out of it. Since the last email I sent I have gotten no response. Plain and simple...they STOLE money from us. We had automated payments so they took the money anyways and we have no way of getting it back. We will never EVER use this company again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to. Any company who could justify this behavior should not be in business. We are new to Sonora. I'm so happy we called out Foothill Sanitary septic. Very punctual and very professional. Kevin and Bill are so helpful. They explained in detail what they will be doing and they showed us what they found. They also took the time to explain to us how to keep our septic in working order for the years on. Who does that! This company ripped me off for $185.00 The guy they sent out here on a Friday to evaluate what or if there was something that needed to be repaired before the pumped out the tank( Additional charge they told me about prior, but price will be determined). The guy they sent out here didn't know anything about my Engineers septic system and was taking guesses and unsure of himself and calling someone else to try to figure out what to do. Still lost on what the $185.00 was for. He told me Monday he was putting in to schedule for them to come out to pump out the tank and then go from there. No call on Monday or all week so I called, first she told me no one worked there by that name, then she told me to hold, came back and told me I was the 3rd one down from her stack and she will call back to schedule when the Septic design from the county comes in, I told her he wanted to let the lech fields to dry by pumping out the tank if you wait, then we will have to wait even longer for it to dry out. So she said she would schedule it and call me back. Some time later I got a call from a guy from there(one of the guys running the show) I told him I felt cheated for charging me for a service call with someone that didn't know what he was doing and had to keep calling to be advised on what to do. He immediately got mad was trying to defend the guy who came out here, He also told me it was him on the phone advising him what to do. This company is honest and do great work. We purchased a home in pioneer and had to get our septic checked. Called our local company who wanted to just replace the whole septic.Guy never even came out to see. A friend referred us to foothill they sent a nice man out to look and he did a perk test and nothing was wrong with the septic. Saved me thousands! This company abandoned my family with three children and a senior veteran with cancer because we complained that they were not cleaning the unit properly. I sent pictures and was very respectful. We had the service for over a year before they changed the driver and the new driver was a young relative of the owner and did not clean the unit. He even left half used toilet paper rolls from other units instead of giving us full rolls. They accused me of lying and took the unit. We lost our home in the fire and needed the toilet while we rebuild. They also charged full price even if we did not get pumped due to county roads being closed. We did not get pumped for over a month once and they still charged is full price. This company is not what they say on the website. read more

Be careful to get an estimate and make sure they do what is on that estimate. we paid them a lot of money to repair our system, which didn't fix it and then they came out again to check and wanted to charge us a service fee for checking their repair. then told us to call another company and wouldn't waive a service call, when we didn't ask for one. read more

Foothill Sanitary does not know what they're doing!!! Another company that hasn't quite gotten the gist of good customer service. Kevin seems like a nice person, but has a lot to learn when it comes to running a business. Trust me, Ive learned the easy and the hard way. I ordered a septic inspection for $185 from this company in March 2017. With that, I was promised that they would locate the leach and intake lines, advise me of the size and type of the tank and in this case, they said they would locate and dig up the lids for me. When they got there the only thing they did was unscrew the douser lid and wrongfully determined that my entire system was bad! What!?!? I decided to get another opinion and had another company out the very next day. I was charged the same fee, they did the job right and my system was fine!!! Then when Foothill Sanitary originally billed me, the invoice stated the fee was for an inspection (which they did not do). When I politely emailed that they did not do the job and mis-diagnosed the problem, they did not respond. Instead they mailed me a CHANGED invoice with the description as a "trip fee". Wow!! Kevin is young and will learn eventually but I highly suggest that you DO NOT HIRE FOOTHILL SANITARY for your septic needs. read more

Septic tank was backing up. Called Monday morning, was pumped empty early afternoon, came back Tuesday to dig up line, which was completely filled with roots from a nearby tree. Kevin on Monday predicted what he would find Tuesday and I happened to have time to come out from the office and see the actual damage, it was what he had predicted.
