The service has never been great. Bartender served three people before me when I was clearly in sight and before them. Never been a big fan of the owner but hasn't stopped me from visiting.

A true embarrassment to himself and his businesses. My family and I were there to celebrate a birthday. Some of us were in line to order food while the others sat at a patio table. We were approached by a waitress who told us we had to leave because we had a kid under 18 with us. We were bummed and she said the owner was there and she would talk to him about it to see if he would allow an exception. We've been there before on the patio with kids since the signs for 18 and over were only on the doors beyond the patio. She came back a short time later and said no we had to leave. While we were walking back to the table to leave, the owner made a snarky comment to us about never coming back and leaving a negative review. We approached him because what business owner does that? He proceeded to raise his voice at us and have a meltdown when we were being level headed and asking about the policy and asking him to check on the multiple other tables that had kids under 18 sitting at them. He stated that he couldn't have anyone under 18 in the building because of his license. There is no such license in New York State so that was a complete lie. He then told us to just get the f*** out. It's totally fine if he wants to run his business with that policy (the only one in the area), but the manner he handled the situation was out of line and uncalled for. As per the owners request we will be leaving negative reviews and never going to a business associated with him ever again.

I went inside to order a drink and some food and was passed by twice before the woman said she'd be with me. Another younger girl came over and asked if I wanted to order something. Odd questions since I'd been standing there looking at the menu that was on the bar as well as looking at the beers they had listed on the board. I ordered a wheat blonde beer and told her I also wanted to place a food order. She told me I couldn't do that there, and said I needed to order from the food truck table. That table had a chalkboard with their three specials, different items than the bar menu so I ordered off of that, was given a pager and headed outside (The food truck girl was very kind and asked where I was sitting but I hadn't picked a table yet) I ordered a cauliflower margarita pizza which was just the right size to pair with my beer. It came out quick and hot and tasted good. I sat at my table eating alone and enjoying the music but found that that's what everyone was doing. Sitting at their own tables. Enjoying the music or conversing amongst themselves but keeping to themselves. For a brewery with live music on a sunny Saturday afternoon it was just ok.

I'm curious if ownership of 7 Hamlets changed hands over the winter. I spend summers in CNY and 7…read moreHamlets was my go to place, but my experiences this year have changed that. The $.50 cent wing night sounded too good to be true and that turned out to be half right, the special ran from 4-8 however week after week they were sold out of wings halfway through but had plenty of the other high dollar menu items available. Since the unfortunate food truck incident a year or 2 ago and food moved indoors, the staff has been understaffed and overwhelmed any time I have been there. Last Wednesday it was a 90 minute wait for food.(you guessed it, one beer due to an empty stomach and off the Black River Ale House for $.75 cent wings and a selection of canned/bottled stouts + porters). The deal breaker probably was having a "family night" with Disney characters at a bar????? I guess what was even more disturbing was the number of parents that thought this was a good idea and brought their kids. It was my understanding the building next door was bought for events, why not hold it there away from strangers consuming alcohol???? I felt sooo bad for the people that own the house and land next to the main parking lot having to spend the evening directing people off their lawn, due to the number of vehicles overflowing the main parking lot. Why wasn't a staff member out there directing traffic to the over flow? Business is obviously good and I wish them the best, I guess I have been spoiled by the more traditional craft breweries that offer a more chill atmosphere, are dog friendly, less bring your kid with you while you get liquored up and offer more than fruity seltzers, IPAs and ales. I'm not writing this to be malicious and know the grand or so I typically spent there in a year won't be missed, just hoping they will see this and make better decisions. I really used to like this place :O(

I found out that they often have events like live music and bingo. The large room allowed the class to go on away from the main bar and high top table area. Orders are placed at the bar and the one bartender working had things running smoothly. I ordered a Watermelon Wheaton beer and loaded nachos. I immediately got my beer and got a pager for my food. There were a few regular tables along the perimeter among the high top tables but I chose to sit at the bar. The other patrons were very friendly and included me in their conversation. The beer was crisp and cold. The food came out rather quickly. The nachos were topped with beer cheese, fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, and scallions. There was a very generous amount of sour cream so I didn't have to worry about just eating chips. The bartender kept everyone served and knew what the regulars drank. She checked on me regularly. My only disappointment is that as summer comes to an end I will have to wait until next year to attend the events they have at the brewery.

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

We found this little gem and holy toledo did we we strike gold. First of all, the hostess was super nice and greeted us right away even though she was clearly busy and hustling. We chose to sit outside at a picnic table to soak up the beautiful weather. The outside is fun with brightly painted picnic tables and murals on the building. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. She was great and we really enjoyed interacting with her. We started with rum punches which were made with freshly squeezed juice and they were out of this world. We shared the "everything" wings which were crispy and that sauce was delicious. We were tempted to lick the sauce off the plate. We refrained so we didn't get strange looks. I had the Kimchi Reuben which is made with house made kimchi I might add. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We both opted for Poutine Fries for our sides. Guys, this food was unique and spectacular. I'm just bummed it's 3 hours from home! But I'll definitely make an effort to be back.
