I went on yesterday (11/20/23) because I had a group for a deep massage for 90 minutes that was about to expire so I was glad I got in when I did. Average looking place nothing much to see from the outside or the inside for that matter. Was told by the guy at the front to take clothes off but leave on underwear which is normal. But the room was so bare and not inviting at all. Only a single thin sheet instead of the multiply sheets that you usually get under before a massage. Before I went inside he tried to sale me on other things to go with the massage which I declined. I'm not trying to pay anything extra before I get the service I already paid for on Groupon. So the massage at first was a little too deep for my liking so I had to let him know a couple of times. He did ask me where he should concentrate more which I stated thighs, hamstrings, and back. So needless to say everything was massaged but the front of my thighs. The foot massage was the best I ever had so I guess they must specialized in that since it does say "Foot spa" on the front of the business. Then when it was done he made sure I gave a tip...which ok I guess but he seemed a little too pushy with it showing me the placard that has percentages, etc on it. Like what is it with everyone thinking they deserve a tip for literally just doing their job? Wish I could get "tipped" at my job! They don't use intake forms to mark areas to avoid, and my request for privacy was ignored several times, which felt very uncomfortable. At the end, the therapist handed me a note saying "$20" and insisted on that tip instead of letting me decide. I still left 25% tip, but I felt pressured the whole time. I have friends who visits the SPA regularly and have the same opinion. I'm a regular who visits the SPA once a week to get a Swedish Massage. I consider this the highlight of my week. I always leave rejuvenated and pain-free from nicks or strains I often suffer from my gym workouts. I have been meaning to update this. They do take credit cards. I think I have now worked with everyone who works here and depending on what sort of massage you are looking for (Relaxing vs Therapeutic) they are fabulous. They know what they are doing and do it well. I especially enjoy working with the owner when I have serious muscle pains as she does Acupressure and cupping. Everyone here has been extremely nice. I haven't had any difficulty communicating with anyone yet (I've been coming here for a year and a half). My best advice is ignore the negative review and try them out for yourself. I found this place by accident, and it is only a mile and a half from my house! At first I thought it was a "bawdy place" as I have seen described in local papers when such establishments would be visited by the "man in blue" and shut down. I was very pleasantly surprised that the therapist was a consummate professional who found the trouble spots on my back /neck with no problem and then "shredded" them. If you want a serious massage, this is the place to go. First visit is $40 (tell them you found them on Craigslist) and subsequent visits are $60 an hour. This is typical Chinese "rub" massage, because they are not certified or skilled in actual muscle massage. Receptionist and female masseuses barely speak English. They seem clueless when you tell them you've got a tight spot in your shoulders. Lawn signs around Mapledale Plaza say "Grand Opening $45 massage". Note - the Foot Spa has been in "grand opening" mode for many years. When you mention the advertised $45 massage, they play coy and tell you the rate is $60 an hr., no matter what the signs state. Massages are wet noodle strength, regardless if you ask for firm. A C minus massage at best. read more

I was travelling I95 on my way to Washington and was suffering from my aching back. I decided to get off the road and look for a massage to alleviate the pain. I found this place called the Foot Spa. They gave me a wonderful, pleasent and relaxing massage. My back pain was completely alleviated. The owner is a Certified Acupresure Therapist and I would highly recommend her if you are having back pain. I will go out of my way to go back there again when I pass through on I95 again. read more

TLDR on the Deep Tissue massage from Foot Spa: You do get what you pay for. Keep that in mind as with any place you visit. With that said, 5 stars. The massage style itself is considered choppy, with lots of quick motions, very few long gliding stokes, and much snapping over muscles and adhesions. Again, you are getting what you pay for so go in knowing this and you will have an Excellent massage. (The range in the Woodbridge/Dale City area is $60 - $140 per hour ($49 if you count starting price massage places.) Queeni (I don't think I am spelling her name right) is at the top end of what a $60 massage will get you. She was able to find, locate and deal with my excessively tight muscles without much prompting. She's very nice and had very strong hands. Longer review: The place itself is nicely lit, dim and relaxing. Soft music plays in the room. I was greeted and immediately shown into a room. (No intake paperwork but eh, I don't have any health concerns) I explained what I was looking for in a massage. The woman nodded but I had to explain it another time when she went to work on my gluets. (I did not get this woman's name but she was still very nice.) She did use her elbow to great effect on my tight traps. Soon (maybe 5 - 10 minutes in?) the door burst open and another woman (Queeni) walked in. They exchanged some words (Probably that I was too knotted up for the other woman, which I knew I was. Or maybe saying that she only wants upper body). Queeni asked me a few questions about the type of massage I wanted. I explained that I wanted only upper shoulders, arms and pecs. I do A Lot of work with my arms and hands so that was all I needed. It was strange to switch out therapists but it didn't bother me at all. Just something to note. Soon Queeni stood up, walked out the room, checked out another client and came back in and started the massage again. That was a bit off putting but okay. I get that you have to check clients out when you run a busy place. She did check her phone a few times, keeping one hand on me while massaging but it didn't detract and I couldn't tell the first time (I recognized it the second time when I heard the Bleep Bleep from the phone). A little while in she offered the hot stones because I was so tight. I was hesitant but said okay and she did excellent work with them. Very deep tissue with the stones and extra relaxing! Exactly what I needed. Then a scrub down with a hot towel which was very nice as well. I turned over and she did some arm work, excellent hand work, but no pec work (which I was hoping to get done to release some of the tension running down the arm, then again it took a long time to get my shoulders worked out). I am not an easy customer by far but I knew what I was coming in for. Thus she did excellent, especially for a Deep Tissue massage where the client was in chronic muscular hypertension. All in all I give it a 5 stars. Just go in knowing what you are getting and relax. I think the 1 star didn't know what she was getting as far as massage. Her loss and she may need to look at a more expensive spa or clinic to get the relief she was looking for. For a $60 massage, it's great and I highly recommend Queeni! read more

The name of this place does not do it justice. This is an accupressure massage and reflexology spa. I would have discovered them sooner if they changed the signage. But nonetheless, I'm thrilled I found them. If you're an accupressure fan, you will LOVE the service here. Unlike the malls, the rooms are all private, the service includes aromatherapy and I was surprised my masseuse recommended I receive a hot stone treatment at the end. I expected an extra charge and boy was I delighted to find out they included it in my service. If you suffer from tight knots and carry stress on your back and shoulders like I do where a deep tissue massage doesn't always do the trick, COME HERE! The place is very clean, quiet and the rooms are dimly lit. And the masseuse knows exactly how to pinpoint the areas needing the most attention. The only difference in this massage place and the mall, is that here you get to strip down to your undies, in the mall you remain fully dressed. I have chronic neck and shoulder pain so I have gone to MANY spas and massage locations. Fortunately, I stopped in this spa one day, out of the blue and was pleasantly surprised. Now whenever I am in pain I come here and they do an AMAZING job. I love that they do walk ins since sometimes you can't predict when you will need a great massage.
