She kept her composure during my multiple measurements and assessments, as well as through the prolonged testing of about 4 or 5 pairs across multiple sizes, with various configurations of two kinds of supports by strength, including multiple ones per size. I finally chose one pair of comfortable shoes, minus any inserts (I apparently needed them at "quarter strength", but it didn't exist). The shop could have used more soundproofing for one sale associate's loud voice as he was attending another customer. The thin-walled cubicle-like sections for measurements aren't sufficient to block out noise. The sales associate did turn off the TV noise at my request, though. It's unfortunate that this place was recommended to me as if it were a shoe store by another shoe store earlier in my attempt to find good shoes, but it's ultimately more of an orthotics store, with a very limited shoe selection. I would have preferred a different color for the shoes I got. I'm also concerned about the other, recent reviews about the overpriced orthotics - I didn't see them before I went there. I suppose it's for the best I didn't buy the orthotics, then.

Please be cautious when in this store. Don't ignore the signs that say all sales are final. I know…read moreseveral people that have bought the high price orthotics only to still have pain and no refunds offered.

The owner (?) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am a beginning skater ready to buy my…read morefirst figure skates, but I have wide feet and was very concerned about the fit. He took one look at my foot shape and said there were four options: one cheaper figure skate, one high end figure skate, special orders, or that hockey skates are easier to get in a wider size. Then he explained different factors that go into getting a good fit, and different things they can do to improve fit. The first skates he brought out were close to good, but needed some more space on one spot. They were able to modify them so they no longer were tight and I left after about half an hour later with skates. I'm glad I was able to find something that worked because there is a fitting fee "up to $85" if they work with you and you don't buy skates. Which is reasonable for the time and expertise, but would be disappointing.

If you want to waste your time in a skate shop for 6 hours come here! She overprices orthotics,…read morescams you that you NEED orthotics and she sharpens skates terribly. She will often tell you that the skate you want isn't right for your foot so she can only sell what she has in stock. She sizes the boot way too big for your foot which is dangerous for rolling an ankle and not being able to feel the ball of your foot. She also sold me USED BLADES for full price, do not waste your time here.
