In 1995, The City of Tulsa assigned TGA as the organization responsible for managing Tulsa's Sister City relationships, which promote trade, educational and cultural exchanges, tourism, dignitary visits, internships, sports and other projects. Tulsa has eight Sister Cities: Amiens, France; Beihai, China; Celle, Germany; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; San Luis Potosi, Mexico; Tiberias, Israel; Utsunomiya, Japan; and Zelenograd, Russia. Half of those have been going on for more than 25 years! Each of Tulsa's City Councilors acts as an honorary Ambassador. TGA also does an amazing job hosting international visitors by creating high quality and customized itineraries and programs. A variety of visitors includes professionals, young adults, and youth leaders from around the world. In 2018, more than 350 international visitors from 90 nations came to Tulsa. Tulsa is a popular destination for the U.S. State Department, U.S. Embassies, and the U.S. Library of Congress-sponsored international visitor partner organizations such as The International Visitor Leadership Program, The Youth Ambassador Program and Open World Programs. Each visit usually has a particular theme/purpose such as Global Energy Security, Contemporary Native American Governance in the U.S., and Women's Entrepreneurship. TGA advances citizen diplomacy through educational events, learning initiatives, and cultural events like World in a Box Day in August in partnership with the Tulsa Library. They also promote international trade and business. Anyone can become a part of TGA by attending any of their events throughout the year, hosting international visitors, participating in cultural exchanges, or becoming an official member. Memberships start at $25! They also have corporate memberships available starting at $750. There are many membership benefits such as registration discounts, networking opportunities, and calendar access. TGA used to be located at the University of Tulsa but they have recently moved to Oklahoma State University- Tulsa campus in the Main Hall.

i went to the mostly clothing focused thrift store yesterday with the primary motivation of…read moredropping off some clothes as a donation. the donation dropoff is as convenient as i've seen at any place, with the dropoff location being an open window with a ledge counter, on the northeast exterior of the store, with the window having been open every experience i've had visiting the store during operating hours. furthermore, having travelled a little out of the way to dropoff the donation, i'd decided to shop in the store while i was there. although i've been to the store before to browse for miscellaneous clothing, i looked with more intention yesterday for clothing from the specific brands featured at the retail store where i'm working. and though i did not find any clothes by the specific for which i'd searched, i found a couple good quality, decorative hats to give as gifts, as i've found a hat is a clothing item that serves as an appropriate gift when you are uncertain about the size your recipient wears. and lastly, as commentary to the overall quality and selection at the store, i'll say the selection is large and good quality, though leaning toward one of a kind, miscellaneous clothing, especially regarding shirts, rather than specific brands. and further, the store offers a variety of products alongside the clothing, including assorted household appliances, books, and home decor.

Went to the store today and the pricing was much more consistent than the last time I had been…read more Again, still no dressing room. So I mainly looked at children's items and housewares. Prices were consistent. They do certain color stickers are half off every day of the month. There will be a sign at the front of the store showing you what colors are half off. There were a lot of people which makes me hopeful there is high turn over in their stock of items. Managers special was 25 cent children's books today which was a great deal! I will be back.
