Some nice employees. Scanners are constantly wrong. No self check out. I'm done. Their prices are no better than anyone else.

My experiences have consistently been positive until yesterday. While checking out, I encountered an employee who seemed noticeably unhappy. She did not greet me when I came through the line, and her demeanor felt dismissive. When I politely asked if I could use the restroom, she quickly responded that it was closed for the evening. I tried to lighten the moment by jokingly asking what employees do when it's closed, but she looked at me with clear frustration and replied, "We don't go to the bathroom after 8 PM. It's closed, okay?" She also exchanged what appeared to be an annoyed look with another staff member. I understand that everyone can have difficult days, and the store was near closing time. I even understand that the restroom is closed after a certain time. However, the interaction was surprisingly unpleasant and very unlike the level of service I'm used to at Aldi. I am not upset. I mainly wanted to share this experience in hopes that she can receive additional customer service support or training, especially since she interacts with guests regularly. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate Aldi's commitment to customer satisfaction and hope this feedback is helpful.

Their eggs are great. The produce is terrific. The frozen is super. And the prices are as much as 50% what I spend at Publix or Harris Teeter for the same. I'll keep shopping ALDI because they're awesome. Tip 1: You need to bring a quarter for your cart deposit. Tip 2: You need to bring your own bags because their bags aren't free. Enjoy! On their web site, indication was they will continue to make, distribute, sell their BBQ Cole Slaw at Food Lion/Ingles in Gaston/York County. I've be commiserating in my misery with others who are hooked on this delicious and delectable delight. My family like many others are in withdrawal. The symptoms have been so bad, I've been elected to go on Recon to search, identify and purchase this distinctive and tasty treat. Today, I called this location and they confirmed they have it on the shelf. I had to be in the area for my scheduled hair cut so I stopped in and picked some up. I've not found any locations in York County that stock it...yet. But I'm still lock and loaded if I get it in my sites! If you'e never had it, you would not understand!

She has laughed at me for having issues at the self checkout register while I was trying to explain why I thought there was an issue that was very EASILY resolved, she has now found it funny for som reason that I shop there every night and went out of her way to poke fun at me for shopping at HER ESTABLISHMENT. I sincerely hope she gets to retire soon as she clearly needs because she should not be in a public facing position EVER again. I hate having to complain like this about this location because EVERY OTHER worker is very kind, but constant remarks on my need to shop for food for my family is not needed.

The R.O.'s restaurant closed down early in January after being in business for over 50 years. Ben was driving so he dropped me off in the front of the store and I went right in. I asked 2 people who worked there where it was and they had no clue what I was talking about. There was a lady customer who overheard me and pointed me to the back of the store where it was located. They had the 32 ounce and 16 ounce sizes and I got the larger size. I'e grown up eating this and living in Fort Mill, the closest was Gastonia. Now that they have gone out of business, I'm not sure how I'm going to replenish my supply. I've only been inside one other Ingles and that was the one in Lake Lure, NC and this was much larger. It was very crowded on a Saturday and lot's of people getting their Starbucks. It was $8.48 which I thought was a fair price.

But there is no prepared food here. The place is small and tiny. So the selection isn't vast but they do have the staples required in many Asian homes. I was impressed with the variety of lao items here. We purchased some laotion sausage and while overpriced it was definitely delicious. Since living in Charlotte, I have learned to always check the expiration date on items. Not that something slightly out of date will scare me but sometimes you see things that are expired from a year or two ago. So really, I would give this place a three but due to do the deception of thinking I could get hot prepared food - I have to bump it to a two.
