And the whole place feels like a family run business. I've been to many Latin markets from Nasvillle to San Diego. This one in Candor is my favorite. It'll probably be yours if you stop there too. I always get the sunrise omelette with jalapeños added, and it has the perfect amount of cheese and spice. When I was able to work remotely in Albemarle, I would venture here often for takeout or the lunch hour and it always hit the spot. I know the place has stopped selling doughnuts, which is a shame since that was the whole deal was getting a donut with your breakfast, but I have still ventured to a pastry-less Sunrise Grill twice since they've done the name change. It's an Albemarle institution, and the crowds lining out the door speaks for itself

The best I can say about this place is our Server was great. She was very nice and welcoming. The food left much to be desired the 4 ounce hamburger\deluxe burger was quite similar to a hockey puck. It was not flavorful. The fries were regular greasy spoon fries, the onion rings were undercooked as were the hush puppies. The tea tasted very watered down. They also had plate lunches and perhaps that food would have been better. the burgers were nothing to return for. One gentleman in our party went to the outdoor restroom, they were none indoors. He advised all of us ladies to avoid the restroom at all cost, it was nasty. I did not see it firsthand so I cannot state that definitely

When you walk in, you are immediately dazzled with all of the trinkets and supplements available for purchase, and lulled by the smell of coffee. The interior seating is tables and chairs that can be configured from groups of 1 to 10, or more. There's multiple display cases full of home baked goods, homemade pimento cheese, and other items. Their beverage options are wide enough for anyone to find something to drink. We are fast fans of their cold brew coffee. It is by far the smoothest cold brew I have ever consumed. Their food options slightly vary week to week, but most are in heavy rotation and you will soon know why - the quality is unmatched. Our most recent venture brought to our table a bear claw and a chocolate croissant. To say I was pleased is the understatement of the year. I was overjoyed with the amount of chocolate in the croissant. The bear claw has a tasty almond filling, and the glazed slivered almonds on top give a nice contrast of texture. You can't go wrong with anything inside the coffee shop, as it is much more than just coffee that is sold within. If you're in Badin during their business hours, it would be your loss if you don't pop in.

It was super convenient that they also sell lake hats and supplies so I grabbed a hat to keep the sun off my head and it was very useful!
